I don't think there's anything special about this donut place. The donuts are run off the mill at best. When you walk in you get the feeling that this place is not clean. On top of that the customer service is not existent. They do; however, have plenty of parking spots in front of the shop. The first thing you notice is the smell. It *smells* like a donut shop. Definitely a dive donut place, the very best kind. I had apple filled and Bavarian cream. The apple filled was truly stuffed with apple, and a crumb on top that reminds me alot a Dutch apple pie, definitely worth the visit. The Bavarian cream was greasy, soft and all things cream donut. I went into Heavenly to pick up some donuts for a work breakfast. The selection is rather large, and the interior has that vibe that old school donut shops give. Not a lot of places to sit, but definitely very busy. The staff were very helpful and fast in serving the customers too. The donuts were good, and well priced too. I think the reason I give a four out of five is that they are good donuts, but they arn't "great" donuts. Like, this isn't a dig by any means, as they are exactly what I want when I want a maple bar, or a filled donut. They go great with a coffee, and they are fresh and delicious. If you are used to the fancier donut shops with "craft" or artisanal donuts, this ain't your place, but they are REALLY well executed and would wipe the floor with your Kripsy Kremes (meh) and VooDoo Donuts (overrated trash). I am not confident that there was any task lemon in the lemon filled donut. There was precious little raspberry flavor in the fritter. And, their custard cream was... Odd. It didn't really taste like anything except creamy and a bit chemical. Maybe imitation vanilla? Low quality? Anyway, not anywhere near as good as I had hoped. Would in go again? Learned of Heavenly Donuts via a delivery app. Donuts are difficult to choose if you cannot see them, so thought it best to visit in person. Not even remotely what I expected - this shop is attached to the market with a gas station. Once inside the doors of the market, the display case of doughnuts immediately caught my attention. The doughnuts are gorgeous, over-sized, and with so many varieties not found often. I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on a croissant and some hot chocolate. Hands down best hot chocolate ever! The sandwich was also amazing! Weirdly, the doughnut I tried for breakfast was just average in taste though, but the doughnuts I took home for later were super yummy. The service was super attentive and pleasant. Okay I've only gone to Annie's on SE Sandy Blvd everytime I go to Portland. My niece apparently does not care for Annie's I DONT KNOW WHY!!! Anyways she said I had to try this place, SO DISSAPOINTED, nothing exciting or special about any of the donuts, it was an ordinary donut you get from the grocery store or any average donut shop. In all honesty though, the chocolate bar was so dense and chewy, I took one little bite from the entire dozen of donuts we bought!
