    Orig glaze
    Roze N.

Missing the days of free hot donuts samples when the neon sign flashed Decent consolation prize is that this locale's drive thru is open 24 hours. Yupperoonies! Can't beat a dozen of their orig glazed. Krispy Kreme does these babaaays right w that light, airy fluff of a bite and just the right amount of glaaaze. Evening staff was quick w the service w no line to wait.

Nostalgia still holds, but flavor-wise? It's falling behind. Krispy Kreme is all about nostalgia at this point and not much else, especially now that Portland is filled with artisan donut options that go far beyond the basics. We swung by the drive-thru at 6:43 PM tonight with my adult children. The only thing that still okay ish is the Original Glazed, still alright, still classic. Everything else we got: raspberry, lemon, cream cheese, and chocolate were was just meh. Lacked depth, freshness, and that "worth-the-sugar" kind of satisfaction. It's a familiar name, but these days, that's about all it's offering.

Truly impressed with the service, selection and flavor of the Krispy Kreme on 82nd. Everyone was so friendly working the final hours of Christmas Eve. Adorable Peanuts donuts and boxes. Thank u!

The doughnuts may be good, but poor delivery experience twice in a row. Ordered three dozen doughnuts and coffee for my uncle to take to church. Twice the delivery person is 30 to 40 minutes early (not so bad but did pick a specific time) and before 7, my uncle is still getting ready. The delivery person ignores the ring doorbell and hand off to my uncle note and just leaves it inches away from the swing out door. Now, anyone should realize that an 81 year old man is going to find it difficult to bend over to pick up doughnuts let alone maneuver the door in a way to keep from spilling entire order. (See pic). My uncle did not know delivered until later (at 7) when he expected the delivery. He does not deserve cold coffee again since his tour in Vietnam.

That was the filling in our Sorting Hat doughnut and it tasted terrible

The Harry Potter doughnuts left a terrible taste in our mouths! I bought a dozen, asked to upgrade from the "deal"(with 8 Harry Potter and 4 standard glazed) the guy helping me said it would be $.60 more per doughnut( my assumption was it would be per the 4 upgraded doughnuts - because it was already $25 for the "deal") NO, they charged $.60 cents more for all 12 - what a f-ing rip off. And I ordered 3 sorting hat doughnuts and bought a half dozen other filled doughnuts- $60.00 Just split a sorting hat doughnut with my boyfriend and it tasted like crap! 10 minutes later, we both still have a horrible taste in our mouths! Better off buying one and shellacking it to hang on your wall! Don't waste your time going and buying these doughnuts! I will never buy another Krispy Kreme doughnut again.

    Fourth of July donuts

Make sure to come here 4th of July they give you some special donuts also the hot sign was on that means we get a free donut and there was this really nice worker that said if you buy a dozen glazed Donuts they are for only four dollars

I go a dozen of the Kripsy Creme St. Patrick's Day collection! I tried one of each and they were so good! They were fresh and easy breakfast. The box was super cute as well.

It's always a special treat with Krispy Kreme's. This location is near the freeway and convenient when I need something super sweet. These are good for everyone, and they really do melt in your mouth. I usually order through their online and it's easier making a selection picking the different flavors, and then going through the drive thru and picking it up. Prices are relatively low. I'm giving them a four star only because of the look of this location- it could seriously use a face lift - I believe the drive thru board and even speaker (super quiet) is a little outdated, though I have not been inside. Employees are nice. Still worth a stop.

    Salted caramel glazed
    Kim G.

Salted caramel glaze. Those three words were on my mind ever since seeing an ad for new Fall flavors at Krispy Kreme! As I was driving on SE 82nd, I noticed the doughnut shop and drive through and my lack of will power deposited me there. While the new Fall flavors are not in this particular drive through menu, I asked the attendant if they had them and he said they had the salted caramel, plain caramel and a pumpkin spice cake doughnut. I ordered two of the salted caramel, pumpkin spice and their version of a Boston Creme. Service was exceptional. Friendly, fast, all Covid precautions. I didn't even make it out of the parking lot before taking a bite of the salted caramel! It definitely hit all of the flavor profiles. However for me, it was way too sweet. This may not be the case for others as my preference for sweets is always in the not-too-sweet side and when possible, not white flour preferring buckwheat and rye. So I'm probably not the best person to offer advice here which is why I'm still giving four stars. This is only the 2nd or 3rd time I have ever stopped at this chain. If I do ever find myself there again, I will wait for the sign to light up indicating doughnuts are being made and will order two original without the glaze. They will actually do that if you catch them while they are being made. Another reason for the 4 stars, is Krispy Kreme repeatedly finds ways to help the community during these trying Covid times, often providing our health care workers with free doughnuts to share with coworkers. Gotta love them for that!

went today to get a dozen donuts for my birthday. had an account on the app and when i showed up i was told i needed my ID. no problem, went back home and came back a few minutes later with my ID- showed it to the older man working the counter and he tried to tell me it wasn't my birthday and it wasn't for another week. This man was looking at the ISSUE DATE on my ID. not my DOB which was clearly underneath my picture. I tried to repeatedly show him the actual birthdate underneath my picture but he didn't seem to understand and just waved me off and only giving me one donut. so just know if you want your birthday dozen- they'll fight you for it.

Was never a fan of Kristy cream donuts (in California) but my kids saw an advertisement about their Scooby Do donuts. We live in Gresham now so the closest one was Portland. I took my kids and they had a deal going so we got the assorted scooby ones and the glazed. They did not last once we got home! So good and the customer service was amazing! Very welcoming, polite and nice ppl behind the counters. We went a second time to get the sorted dozen and dollar dozen glazed. Once again customer service was amazing! The donuts were really good. Wished I had gotten more of the Biscoff ones they did not disappoint. The place is clean as well. And plenty of seating for those wanting to sit in there.

Since I first had a Krispy Kreme, I loved Krispy Kreme. There just really is something delicious going on here. I really enjoy the different holiday specials they get - they make great gifts. When I want donuts this is usually my go-to spot. They always have a large variety in stock. Only once did I go and they had none of the specialty donuts. I was super irritated because it was the only reason I had gone there (because of an ad), but it was only once. They might be out of something, but it's not usually multiple. Probably why I got so upset, because I wasn't used to it. Even the simple glazed donut is amazing (and I do often heat them up a bit). Staff are always friendly and they make sure if something costs extra to always relay that (like apple fritters cost a bit more if you're getting a dozen). It's always clean and smells fantastic. Now I kind of want a donut.

    I'd listen to that hat...
    Chase M.

Krispy Kream Krew... wait, dont use that acronym... but reall tho, this place is nothing amazing when they sit, but when you eat a warm one on the spot (light on) they melt!! I've tried many variations and they're all fine, but just get whatever just came out, and glazed is really that opportunity. The staff is friendly, and you know what you get. It's a chain, and expectations are that of KK. They do have some hats for the kids, so ask!

THIS is now their full size original glazed

They are brioche-based donut with a thick, heavy dough instead of being airy and fluffy. Well, they are unique, but they are definitely not my favorite and they are quite expensive. They're known for creative flavors, but creative does not mean it tastes good. The famous Blueberry Bourbon Basil donut was so doughy and cakey (hard type), blueberry jam was too sweet and completely overpowered the subtle taste of bourbon and basil. The apple fritter was the same, just sweet, doughy, and nothing special. We also tried the Cointreau Crème Brûlée, it is a custard donut comes with an orange liqueur pipette. Because the blueberry donut completely lack of bourbon taste, we actually used that pipette to squeeze the liqueur into the blueberry donut. We had the coffee, they're just average, nothing special. Definitely a wrong choice I made.

Walking in less than an hour before closing, we were surprised to see most of the items still in stock! We ended up picking four things to try: Vanilla Bean Kouign Amann ($7) - This pasty has a sweet yet salty exterior that's complementary in flavor rather than clashing. It's accentuated with a crunchy glazed and caramelized sugar layer that's on the sweeter side. The interior is interesting. There's a cavernous gap right in the center that's filled with a sickly sweet melted sugar syrup. It's unpleasantly sweet and very cloying. The puffed and filled area is large enough that it compresses the other layers so the kouign amann is dense. I've never had a kouign amann quite this sweet before. (3/5) Meyer Lemon Olive Oil Cake with Thyme ($5.50) - This cake is so moist and rich, thick and dense, fatty and rich, that it feels like I"m eating a slab of butter. I'm sure it has just as many calories too! It's quite sweet, although not nearly to the level of the kouign amann. Overall, it's just a really rich and decadent cake. (4/5) Blueberry + Vanilla Cream Brioche Donut w/ Earl Grey ($6) - The top of the pastry is dressed with a cream that has an unmistakably strong bergomot earl grey taste. I wish there was way more cream - there's essentially only a dab on top! The rest of the donut is filled with a custardy light blueberry and vanilla jam. It's not too sweet and has an excellent high quality blueberry fragrance, creating an exceptionally strong blueberry taste. The jam is not too thick and is somewhat syrupy from sugar. The donut itself is really soft and extremely airy. It's the fluffiest donut I've eaten in a long time. (5/5) Raspberry Rose Cruffin ($8.50) - This pastry has some fun dehydrated raspberries sprinkled right on top of a light and fluffy cream that's not too sweet. The cruffin base is buttery in taste and great lamination even when filled with the custard and rose/raspberry cream. This is a heavy cruffin that's very filling.
