Moved back to WA in February and I've been waiting to come here since. Venue is pretty big, they've got a nice lounging area inside with couches and TV's. I didn't make it upstairs to check it out, but the outside has a bunch of tables with umbrellas. Overall, dope ambiance that the brewery gives off. Good music, it was very OG. They've got a pretty big selection of beers on tap. Overall great stuff! Loved all their dark beer, ended up leaving with a couple hats and stickers. :) Jim definitely made the experience. Last night was my first visit to Hellbent, but definitely not my last! We went for the kickoff of Seattle Beer Week. For each pint sold of their delicious Gate City IPA, Hellbent was donating $1 North Helpline Emergency Services and Food Bank, and I'm always drawn to local businesses that participate and contribute to their communities. The beer was yummy enough for me to go back a second time, but the lively atmosphere was even more of a draw. Lots of outdoor seating, dogs allowed both in and out, super high ceilings with funky light fixtures and a friendly crowd made the night a win. There was also a food truck outside, and I'm guessing they probably have rotating trucks for a bit of variety. This isn't an ideal spot for those who dislike crowds or noise- the acoustics and the amount of people there definitely resulted in it being a bit on the loud side. But we didn't mind and had a great time. Definitely recommend, especially for those who like to bring their pups along on outings! read more

What a cool place! I was going to a nearby dog park and wanted a place to watch a game nearby before. I found this place here on Yelp and decided to give it a try. It is a two-story bar with indoor/outdoor seating, plenty of tvs, is dog friendly, has a ton of beer options, and a food truck outside. What else could you want? [This was a 5 star review until David opened his mouth]. Been coming here for years and always had a great time. Covid has turned these people into monsters. Here is what happened... first I was in buying a beer from a lady up there. Not the nicest but I understood it was busy. More concerned with chastising me for taking the last sip of my cider up at the counter before putting my glass up. I'ts habit to bring my glass up so they don't have to bus my table but also got told to leave it at the table. Cool. Ordered a second cider and went to walk upstairs. Nice couple invited me to sit with them since there were no open seats. David followed me upstairs and asked the couple (without saying or even acknowledging me) if I was "making them uncomfortable". I went downstairs to let him now that kind of rubbed me the wrong way. He continued to argue with me, telling me I was the rudest person he had met in 7 months since Covid. Then he allowed another bar patron *some random getting growlers filled* to talk shit to me while egging him on. I had bought a beanie this day and asked for a refund and told him I will never be back because of how rude he was. I am a young looking girl, maybe he thought he could talk down to me???? While this was going on I was being told how rude I was being and that I was wasting David's time by having this conversation with him. when I put my hands up to my mask to pull it a tiny bit away from my face since I started crying he said "don't you take your mask off" almost as a threat. I would love someone to reach out to me because I did love going there and have referred many of my Bellevue clients to go check out their cute spot..... don't think the owner would appreciate this going un noticed. Really great hangout spot-- I wish was closer to home. Came on a Sunday around 12 and got a great table to play games. Place was packed once we left around 3. The beers were just so so. The lavender saison was among the worst beers I've ever had. Lavender is really tough and I give them mass props for trying but this one was no good. Soapy. Every other beer was a little over-carbonated, tried the red, a guest stout and raspberry wheat which was the best of them all. Glad they had ciders on tap and a food truck in the parking lot at 2! Great spot to kill time during horrible I-5 traffic at 3pm!! Seriously save my evening!! Yelped for a bar with a pool table near Shoreline and this brewery popped! Didn't disappoint! Practically had the pool table (0.75¢) all to ourselves the whole evening! Dog-friendly. Great chill ambient on both levels (2) with comfy sofas, seatings and plenty of tables and bar stools to accommodate a large crowd. Best place in town to have a beer and chill out! Great for dogs and casual relaxing after work or any sort of occasion! Great food trucks that show up regularly!! My favorites have been the reds as well as the jasmine wheat. All the beers seem to top the charts for the individual depending on what you like. I really don't want to review this place, because I honestly cannot find a single fault with it, and I don't want people to know about it. But, in the spirit of helping fellow yelpers find their perfect hang out spot, let me say: you've found it. To start, the beer is 100% delicious. Granted, I only tried three brews, but I loved each one. The all spruced up winter ale was so so good. I would probably compare it to the Elysian bifrost because it's similar in body and flavor, but I think this one is superior. My husband tried the other winter ale: the warm fuzzies which has a powerful peach flavored kick that is super yummy. Its high alcohol content makes you feel warm and tipsy, so be aware! My second beer was the status hazy IPA and it was so juicy and smooth but with the right amount of hops and bitterness. It gives a strong orange flavor at the beginning and then finishes with a hoppy bitter taste. I really loved this beer and I'm looking forward to going back to have some more. The taproom manages to feel spacious, yet cozy. The combination of coffee tables, sitting tables, high tables, and couches provide any kind of atmosphere you want and can accommodate so many different kinds of groups. It's dog friendly, which I personally love, they have a handful of board games and some pinball machines, and it's overall just the perfect spot. I'm looking forward to being a regular at Hellbent, and I hope to see more of their beer on draft at other places around the city. read more

A great new brewery, tucked far up in the northeast of Seattle. There is a nice, roomy parking lot which still can get congested. There are some food vendors outside so you can grab a snack so you should be good there. I got a couple different beers here. I got a Jasmine beer which was excellent as well as a very fine summer beer. Steve got a nice, orange tasting wheat kind of beer which we enjoyed. The service is top notch so no complaints there. The inside of the brewery is sleek, polished and very roomy. There is an upstairs where you can go and a very fine patio with a misting machine up against the building. It might make some furniture wet but on a very hot day that mist feels great! read more

The brewery does not serve food. Instead, they have rotating food truck selection and it's posted on their Facebook page. This place is strictly about beer, duh, it's a brewery. My husband likes the Whit, it's a refreshing beer for a hot day. We also tried the Jasmine wheat and that was delicious at well. They do serve like four kinds of wine for $8-10 a glass. All that being said, it's a pretty cool place to hang out, kick back, drink some beer, on a lazy night. There's a patio with some nice big seating for larger parties. You know it's a great place when you're writing a review the same night. I can hardly contain my excitement for finding a place so close to where I live that has such a cool vibe! They have a good selection of beers to choose from along with cider and wine. Games available to play, comfy sofas and dogs to pet! There's also rotating food trucks with a different one scheduled for certain dates. Tonight, it was Nosh and I got some tasty yellow chicken curry on top of fries. Moving here from Austin, I've been missing the food trucks and haven't really bothered to stalk any in Seattle. However, Hellbent makes is so easy for me to try a variety of food trucks in one location while grabbing a beer and hanging with friends. The patio is really cute too and I can't wait to come here in the summer as well. The parking lot is small, but that's still a perk that they even have a parking lot in the first place! Happy to see the rest of the local Yelper's giving this place a 5-star review. To me it deserves every one of those stars! Seeing that this gem opened up in my 'hood, my wife and I came here with high hopes/expectations and thankfully were not let down! Let's start with the venue. It's huge, open, and decorated very well. There are an assortment of couches, tables, a large bar, several large TVs and an opening to an outdoor seating area for those sunny days. Upstairs, you'll find more large TVs, couches, tables, a pool table, a few video games, and a stash of board games. The set-up is fantastic. We came to watch the NBA finals game and while all of the TVs were playing it, only the upstairs had the audio for the TV. This works out great for those people who don't care about the game. The beer is great, of course. They had a few of their own selection and a great "guest" list as well. My two favorites were the "First Born IPA" and the "Olympic Hills Spring Ale." I'm excited to see what other beers they'll have over time. For food, they will have rotating food trucks which is a big plus in my book. You get a variety of options, but also supporting the local food scene. When I was there "Bees Knees Sausages" was the visiting food truck and they had a brat special that was soaked in the "First Born IPA". Yummy. In conclusion, this place is the real deal. We love this place!! This brewery has become our reward for running errands. We stumbled upon it one weekend when we were doing errands in the Lake City area and decided to check it out on our way home. We now go EVERY time we're in the area. Their big island toasted coconut stout with cutters coffee is delicious and always on tap. They have a good handful of other beers to pick from, too. We're always able to find a parking spot in the lot and there's tons of seating inside and a patio. The couches inside are so comfy and the place is huge. We love having Hellbent in our neighborhood because we've recently adopted a puppy and dogs are allowed both inside and outside. They also have plenty of TV screens which is perfect for football season. They not only have their own Hellbent brewing beer but they carry a few local beers as well on tap. They do not serve food but they have a rotating set of food trucks that park around back. This is a great place to go to watch games, meet with friends or just hang out with your four-legged friend.
