Fry Score: 13/10 Best fries at a Bahn Mi shop hands down. Best fries in a 5 mile radius honestly. Those are some fire fries, they slap harder then a bellyflop. (No pictures of fries due to the rapid inhalation into my stomach) My order: Bacon Cheese French Fries Grilled Chicken Bahn Mi My Review: Staff - Super nice staff, very welcoming and hard working. I came while they were slammed with the lunch rush but I still got my food in a timely manner and they were quite nice. Food - The Bahn Mi was sweeter then expected, interesting take on a Bahn Mi. Flavor was great, if you want it spicy add the sauce that comes with it. Absolutely delicious sauce adds exactly what I needed!! It's got it's own little kick but not much. Bread was great and fries were amazing! The texture on the fries was lovely, I enjoy a nice crispy fry. Location - Used to be a Baskin Robbins awhile back, sad to see it go but very stoked this was what ended up taking over. Note to Cooks - The foods good, in my opinion I would like less cheese on the fries but besides that y'all are great. Note to Owner/Manager - I would like to request you look into using compostable takeout containers instead of styrofoam. Much better for the environment. zero stars. negative stars, if possible. super run down location. dirty workstation and floors. the owner is hideously frugal - look for the almost comical signs plastered everywhere to let the customer know anything and everything will be an extra $.50. yet a milk tea is gonna run you $7 here, which is absurd - even actual taiwanese tea shops dont have the nerve to charge that much. our visit here was brief and unpleasant. we got two sandwiches; the pork belly and tofu were both disappointing and lacking in actual substance. the owner, wearing a sour face the entire time, arbitrarily changed the total amount charged to my credit card without consulting us or even giving a perfunctory excuse, after the first transaction, which is like fraud, actually. all the 5 star reviews just look sus to me now read more

I had come to this establishment several months ago and thought the food was great. This time I threw 2/3 of my sandwich away. I had the lemon grass beef n my husband had grilled pork. We also ordered the shrimp n scallion appetizer. Shrimp n scallion had no flavor whatsoever, except for the sweet dipping sauce. My sandwich is very good! The bread is fresh and just right. It is full of crispy veggies and the spiciness is just the right amount to make it appetizing. The meat could be a little crispier but still very good. All in all this is a fresh and healthy sandwich and they get an A from me. read more

It has been a long time coming to have a True Banh Mi Sandwich place in Kirkland. So many great menu choices, I tried the 12 inch BBQ Pork Belly Banh Mi and their Honey Garlic Chicken Wings. I called this order ahead and when I arrived 10 minutes later they had it ready. The menu has so many selections I'm eager to try them at some point along with the Bubble Tea. It was my first time trying Hello Banh Mi and it will NOT be my last! I ordered a footlong grilled pork belly sandwich and a mango green tea with lychee jelly. It was amazing! So good that I forgot to take a picture of it before I started to eat! When I think of pork belly, I think Korean style, this pork was not like that at all, much much thinner, sliced pork belly. It was still delicious, and those pickled veggies were so good! The mango green tea had mango bits inside, a pleasant surprise and it was super refreshing! I waited almost 30 minutes on my second visit to get my banh mis. The place is the size of my kitchen. I don't know how they can miss a customer standing in front of them for that long and forgot my order. We won't be back . I ordered the bbq pork and grilled chicken half foot sandwiches and a Hawaiian smoothie. The bread is soft enough for a toddler to eat and with a crispy exterior. The meats were lightly flavored and the provide a light fish sauce for you to put on your bun. Everything was quite good for the price and I thought the size was definitely enough for me. The employees were SO sweet, and my partner and I really liked our bahn mi! We got a foot long grilled pork and a foot long BBQ pork belly, and the portion was great - if you're not particularly hungry, half a sandwich would be sufficient. Has always been a good experience coming here. The only things I'm not a huge fan of is the lettuce that the pot stickers sit on when you order them to go but it really isn't a huge deal and a very small detail. Since Yelp does not have 3.5 stars available, I will choose 4 stars. I was nearby the restaurant, and noticed this new restaurant. I used to eat a lot of Vietnamese style sandwiches when I lived in Los Angeles. I ordered a grilled pork sandwich, a grilled chicken sandwich, and a mango slush. The grilled pork sandwich was ok, the pork doesn't look like grilled, they are more like stir fried, there is no grill marks on the meat, and there is no char flavor. I cannot comment on the grilled chicken sandwich, my son at it. All the grilled pork sandwich I ate before all had grilled pork, the grill marks are visible, and you can taste the char flavor in the meat. As for the mango slush, I am not certain if fresh mango was used in the drink or not, it tasted more like powder rather than real fruit. Maybe real mango was used, but, I could not taste it. One change I'd recommend the owner to consider is to cut the foot long sandwich in half before wrapping it, so it's easier for customer to eat. read more
