Competent but so dang expensive. It cost more to change the oil on my daughter's 2016 CX5 than on my wife's BMW at Boris Said's in murrieta. They don't wash the car after service anymore either. Long but worth reading Bought a used truck November 25th low miles, sales staff was awesome, was excited nice upgrade from what I had. Fast forward 78 days from purchase, check engine light comes on, won't accelerate, pull into parking lot, shut it off and restart it, now will accelerate but light still on. Glad I bought the extended warranty, during the purchase of the warranty I specifically asked since it is a Nissan I can take it to Nissan if there are any issue correct ? The answer was yes , so I took it to Nissan where it was diagnosed with a bad transmission that had to be replaced ( sits at Nissan for a week trying to get the extended warranty to approve repair to only find out it had to go back to hello Subaru for the lm to diagnose. Great, so we get it shipped there, a week goes by still no word, drive down there to see for myself what is going on. Truck is on the rack and tech stated there was only one metal flake in the fluid, showed them the pics sent to me from Nissan, then it was we need to get approval to replace transmission, and ac pump. Another week goes by, contact Subaru again , truck is still at the shop , now I'm getting frustrated less than 90 days less than 2000 miles on the truck another week of rental car ( all out of my pocket ) get a call last Thursday " ok we have approval for repairs we are going to tow your truck to Nissan . Week goes by call my guy at Nissan , truck still isn't there , truck has now sat at hello for 2 weeks a week after repairs approved . Today Friday wife goes to get a loaner from hello ( thanks should have been offered at the get go but thankful ) she is angry as I am also but I'm 240 miles away at work, no customers in service office and she is upset and let's a curse word fly when inquiring why our truck is still there in turns upsets staff. She advises them if you think I'm upset wait till you hear from me her husband . I had 240 miles to calm down, when I arrive. I apologize for the curse word my wife let fly, but inquired with my own frustration why the hell is my truck still there over a week longer then when I was told my truck was being shipped out? Now assured it was being towed out today Friday only to find out the trans is being repaired at Nissan then truck shipped back to them for the ac pump , like wtf ? Just let Nissan do all the damn work , when I spoke to Nissan all of this could have been done in less than 4 days but now we are 3 plus weeks into this whole ordeal . Long story short don't put 20 grand cash down on anything low mile used and if a problem arises don't expect it to rectified in a timely manner . Today I handed them a rental bill of 800 plus dollars for dragging their damn feet ( no one communicates with each other let alone with a customer , find another dealership to buy from ( yes I know it's used , yes I know Subaru does not work on Nissan ) what I don't understand is their communication , customer service , taking care of problems that they are clearly on the hook for . About a year ago, I went with my daughter to buy a used Buick from Hello Mazda. I test drove the car and noticed that it had a rotor shake coming from the front brakes and the brakes were squeaking. We complained and asked them to replace the brakes or the deal was off. After a year the brakes were worn out again. Instead of replacing the rotors and brake pads, they bent the wear indicators of the pads so they would no longer squeak. Not only is this unethical, this is dangerous. Absolutely the worst. First off, they never responded to several inquiries I made via their Yelp page for guesstimates on a vehicle repair. Then when I finally got them on the phone, the person was clueless, claiming "We don't have a Yelp page." Long story short, when I asked to have a supervisor call me, no one ever did. In fact, even a service adviser never called me back who eventually I was transferred to. Quite frankly, no surprises. The advisors that work here always have an attitude. One time I had a problem with my adviser because he had made an error on his end and was blaming me. Whatever , kept coming back. Today I am here again and I'm paying way too much for an oil change. $118! I remember I didn't pay that much last time and even asked the new advisor what I paid last time to which under his breath he said $108. I asked why so much now to which he replied since he's been here it's always been $118. Well no , he is wrong because that's now what I paid last time and no , no coupon was applied then. What bothered me was that he rushed me to sign when I told him I was waiting for a coupon on my cell phone. I had the pleasure of speaking to the John Hine Temecula Mazda internet dealer Nick Boston who was very polite and was so easy to talk to. Nick has a very comforting voice and I didn't feel any high pressure sales tactics when I spoke to him by telephone. I would love to own a new car especially a Mazda 3 Sedan but I realized it wouldn't be cost effective for me to sell or trade in my 1995 Honda Civic DX Coupe Car because my car has really low mileage, even though it is a 24 year old car it looks like a new car. Honda's are very dependable, reliable, gives great gas mileage and are fun to drive. Also my mechanic and the owner of S & R Service Center told me that my older car will last a long time and if I purchase a new car it will be difficult for me to maintain on a long term basis. read more

Super BAD experience at this dealer to buy out my lease today. When I declined to buy their extended warranty, the salesperson told me that they couldn't help me with the lease buyout if I don't buy anything from them, and I would have to directly deal with Mazda and DMV. I questioned the salesperson why didn't she tell me that before I headed down there from LA. Well, after my protest and firmly told her that I wouldn't any warranty, they went ahead and helped me with the buyout like that's favor to me. But that was not the worst part. While I was waiting, their "general manager" burst out and yelled at my son to stop taking pictures of their people. Everyone in the dealer probably could hear him shouting at my son in a very rude manner. After I had a chance to talk to this manager, his story was that his staff were feeling uncomfortable that my son was taking pictures of them. That I had my doubt. My son could be taking pictures of the place and cars, not really the people there intentionally. What troubled the general manager (according to him) was that he thought my son might have taken pictures of the licenses of the people that they displaced publicly. Ok, it may be inappropriate to take pictures of these publicly displaced licenses. That I don't know. Is it really a private place? NO, it is a place open to the general public to come and check out the cars. No pictures inside? Then please let me know first before yelling at me. Why couldn't the manager talk to my son more discreetly first, and informed him that he could not take pictures of the people or the licenses? Is it because I wasn't giving them business today? Very unprofessional in my opinion. By the way, the salesperson helping me was professional and helpful. She tried her best to handle the situation after the manager's unprofessional act. read more

They also did not inform us of the 7 different credit pulls, we didn't receive any alternative options. Not sure if they were hungry and in a rush but we were treated poorly. This review is for the service department: In the last two years, I've had 4 oil changes there and have been told my car needed additional services each time. The problem is, each time it's a different service and the previous one isn't mentioned as a problem still. I'll break it down: July '21 brakes Dec '21 no brakes mentioned needing fixed (didn't fix them yet) July '22 transmission flush, brake fluid flush, wipers, struts all need done Dec '22 brake fluid flush, wipers, brakes are good So, I've never fixed things they suggested being fixed, and if their mechanic is doing a multi point inspection and looks in the same places, why are the reports so different each time???? Either they are told to try and make money off me bc I'm a woman and don't know any better OR their mechanics are not thoroughly checking everything as they should. Your guess is as good as mine. BTW, oil changes are now $100+ wow! read more

DO NOT lease a vehicle here. The General Manager Oscar Balley is a real piece of work. Let me start out by giving you some context. I've been in the car business since 2015 as a finance manager here in the Temecula Valley (got out of the business during COVID) so I completely understand the ins and outs of how a dealership is run. Some may understand this and some won't, but he is NOT a Temecula Valley guy. He's a Mission Viejo Audi guy who clearly doesn't care about keeping customers like you need to do in Temecula Valley. 65% of the Temecula Valley commutes 20-30k miles per year so customer retention is a PILLAR that all dealerships should treat delicately to survive as a dealership in Temecula. Don't get me wrong, he will seem like the nicest guy while making a deal but MAZDA is one of the few dealerships where you CANNOT trade your lease (if you have equity) to a non-Mazda dealership. There's also a code in the car business that you don't do a car guy (someone in the car business) dirty and he did me real dirty knowing they were the only store who could buy my lease that I had equity in. I spent 3 days shopping cars for my mother because she was at the end of her lease with Mazda and almost EVERY dealer appraised her 2020 CX-5 Grand Touring at $21k. Oscar HIMSELF appraised her car and only gave $19.4k and labeled the car as FAIR condition (it was in GOOD condition, pictures attached) because he knew nobody else could buy the car. He said he would give me more if I stayed with Mazda (which is common practice) but he took it to an extreme since he knew he had all the leverage in the world. It's beyond shameful that he would do a car guy that way, and I can only imagine what he would do to a customer not in the car business who doesn't know any better. I'm sorry to have to write this as I have friends at the dealership but this guy is a real piece of work. Good luck to those who don't heed my advice, if you have every intention of staying a lifelong Mazda customer then maybe you'll be ok, but if there is even the potential that you might switch brands AND you plan to lease, stay the hell away from this guy. I've attached his photo so you can keep away at all costs. I'm NOT the type to get upset, and I was FUMING by the time I left this place. Everybody else at the dealership was actually pretty damn cool but this degenerate is the one who calls all the shots so while this store is under his control...... best of luck. Send him back to Mission Viejo, the Temecula Valley deserves MUCH BETTER than this. We ended up getting her a PHENOMENAL DEAL at Volkswagen of Murrieta on a 2023 ID4 that crushed EVERY other dealership by a substantial margin. After dealing with another Mazda dealer, it was refreshing to walk into Hine Mazda. We found the car we wanted online, called the dealership and spoke with Katie Gardner. We told her we would be there in about 45 minutes and when we arrived, she had already pulled the car out front and was there waiting for us. She was very laid back and it was like talking to a friend you run into at the store. No pressure at all and when she took our offer to the manager, she told us exactly what he could do for us and we were able to get the price down a bit even though it had just recently been lowered. At the other dealership, the manager tried to charge us for a previously installed security system even though it was already installed in the car and included in the sale price. Not here. Katie explained the system and helped us link it to our phone without even thinking about trying to charge us extra. We ended up paying exactly what we expected and ended up with the right car for our needs. Even dealing with Rene in finance was easy and quick and he made sure we got through all the paperwork, making sure we understood everything we were signing. Overall, I can't imagine buying a car anywhere else. Especially coming off of the terrible experience we had the previous day at another dealer, dealing with Hine Mazda restored my faith that it is possible to buy a car without feeling like you need to take a shower afterwards. I highly recommend calling and asking for Katie if you're looking for a car. Everyone at Hine was very friendly and helpful to us and the next time I need a car, that's where I'll look first. read more

Never getting my mazda serviced here again. I went in for my 90k service, which included fluid top off and a multi-point inspection. The next week my car was smoking and I discovered the coolant dangerously low. I called in to get it sorted and they couldn't see me for a month. What am I supposed to do with a smoking car and a month long wait to have it seen again? It was their mistake and I expect them to fix it. Waste of time and money. read more

My girlfriends car battery died on Saturday afternoon and the Mazda roadside came out to jump the car in about 15 minutes.. she then called Hello Mazda because the tow truck driver said the battery needs to be replaced.. even though it was around 3 pm on a Saturday when she called Drew (the service advisor) told her to bring it on in ! When she got to the dealership the got her car in line right away and she had a seat in their comfortable lobby where they served drinks and snacks ! A couple hours later she was back on the road with a new battery covered under warranty! read more

I took my 2018 CX5 in to Hello Mazda this morning for an oil change and tire rotation. I had made a 9am appointment on their website and the Service Consultant, Tabitha, met me within seconds of pulling up. She was friendly and informative, got my car signed in immediately, walked me inside and showed me where the restrooms and waiting room were, and pointed out the free coffee, water and snacks. Tabitha estimated my service would take approx. 1 3/4 hours, but within one hour, she texted me to go over a service recommendation (to replace my wiper blades). Overall, the service time was shorter than estimated, the pricing was exactly as estimated, my car was washed, Tabitha's communication was outstanding, and the entire experience was flawless. Even though they are 20 miles from my home, with that kind of service I will continue to take my car to Hello Mazda. read more

Leased a 2020 Mazda CX-5 and had an incredible experience all the way through. As my lease is now ending, I can say have been truly satisfied with the customer service and value all around. I was able to do 95% of the deal through email which made getting the actual vehicle pretty fast and painless. Special shout-out to Andrew in the service department for always going above and beyond and making me feel like family. He always remembers me and is comfortable to talk to. He refused to knock off $.01 off price of car??? Those were his words. I previously bought two other cars from this dealership. That's why I went back to this dealership. I end up getting the vehicle I wanted. But I would not recommend anybody buy from this dealership. They don't give a crap about you all they care about is the money that you're going to give them. I'm glad I did not buy the extended warranty now. Because he is so tight. Again he would not even throw in a keychain for the new car for my wife. Do not trust this dealership's service department! My wife and I bought a 2022 Mazda CX5 there in March 2022 and have been taking it there for oil changes since we purchased the maintenance plan with the vehicle. Took the vehicle in for a routine oil change about a month ago. While waiting for the service to be completed, I receive text messages from them with 5 recommended services totaling around $1,500. Keep in mind, the car has 26k miles on it. The first 3 services were marked "critical". First was a coolant flush...lol. Really Hello Mazda of Temecula??? A coolant flush at 26k??? Get the heck out of here with that bs. The second "critical" service recommended was a diagnostic for the BSM malfunction message on instrument panel. Definitely not needed as that diagnostic was already completed by them a couple months prior. The car only needed the aftermarket side mirror glass replaced with the oem glass, which I replaced shortly afterwards and that message went away. Third "critical" recommendation was they stated vehicle needed front brakes and rotors turned. They stated on the inspection sheet the brakes were in the red, less than 3mm. Turns out, that was a flat out lie!!! I pulled the wheels off and measured the brake pads myself with a brake pad measuring tool. They had a little more than 5 mm left, which means those brake pads are good for another 1 to 2 years. The two "may require attention" recommendations were a fuel injector service and brake fluid exchange, which it does not need at 26k miles and less than 2 years old. This is a scam service department and dealership with no integrity. If I could give it zero stars I would. And, after looking at other reviews and shady things their service department has done to other customers, I'd say they deserve way less than a zero star review. Shame on whoever runs that place. You shouldn't have a job as a GM if you allow that type of dishonesty to go on at your dealership. According to some of the reviews, you put people's lives in danger. read more

Why are they making appointments when they are backed. No loaner car. I just wasted my time. I wish they would have called me and let me know that they were to busy to look at my car today. Update from my previous review. I wasn't really a fan of the service dept when I purchased the car, but now I realize the true extent of JUST HOW BAD THEY REALLY ARE! Now that I have been driving on "new" (DEFINITELY NOT NEW) brakes for the last year, I see just how horrible this service dept is. When I left the dealership with the keys in my hand- I was so excited! I was also confident that the carI would be driving daily was safe- because the service dept had told me so and had "replaced the brakes AND rotors". So when my brakes quickly began squeaking, I assumed I was just hearing things because "my brakes were just replaced". Less than 6 months later, I have little to no brake response, a squishy brake petal and very poor stopping power. I put my life in the hands of this service department, and I am quickly realizing just how bad idea that really was. I am so blessed that I took matters into my own hands and checked my brakes. The service department had me convinced they "REPLACED THE BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS"- when in actuality they BENT THE WEAR INDICATOR SO MY BRAKES WOULDN'T SQUEEK! I have been driving on brakes that are well beyond the wear indicator and believing they were safe and new. I feel absolutely horrified that this service department is comfortable making these decisions and leaving people's lives at risk. DO NOT TRUST THEY ARE DOING THE WORK THEY ARE CLAIMING THEY ARE! "Mandatory safety concerns" mean absolutely nothing to them and your life has no meaning to them. Please, take your vehicle to get a second opinion before you begin driving it daily after purchasing it from these guys. PLEASE- if you are purchasing a vehicle for a loved one or your DAUGHTER/SON, get another look at it. These guys are not to be trusted.
