this place is good for people who enjoy quantity over quality. service was great, had a super helpful server! the vibes of the restaurant are alright.. smells a bit funky in there (like a wet rag) the fooooood... idk it's giving like affordable ayce? i wanna say i can't complain because it IS cheap but they give way too much rice in their nigiris.. & you can't ask for light rice :-( my friends and i wanted to order more nigiris after our first round but we were turned off by the sheer amount rice *there's a fee for any leftover* LOL - given this, they gotta learn from xfish's rice ratio their rolls are rly good tho, PERF rice ratio and they're small :-) *except the baked scallop roll - that one was FUNKAAAY and cold* their no rice roll/rock&roll?? forgot what it was called - the cucumber one? it's basically just an oversized no rice california roll (since it's largely filled with imitation crab... insane amount of crab #cheap) it was STILL yummy but it's not what i'm used to for cucumber wrapped rolls, it was like tiny bits of fish in there as opposed to good chunks. alls to say: fair enoughhhh... they know their method of filling you up on the cheap shi and i GET ITTT i understand!!! #received would i come back? no... would i recommend??? idk... but it doesn't hurt to try!

Hello Sushi Brea! I placed an order to go where I ordered a 3 item bento dinner and a medium sushi sampler. My order was ready in about 20 mins. I went in the restaurant for a pick up and I couldn't find the staff there. The restaurant is small, but very nicely decorated inside. Finally after 5 mins, I went to the sushi counter and picked up my food. I enjoyed my bento box very much, teriyaki chicken was on point, salmon was fresh and delicious, tempura was crunchy, though it can be a bigger portion. My 10 piece sushi sampler was a nice fresh selection, but I've definitely had better. I would love to try the ayce next time!

Came here on a friend's recommendation and it was good. They have good price on AYCE but we ordered a la carte since we weren't that hungry. There are so many good choices on the menu. Each thing we ate was delicious but most impressive was the service. There was only one sushi chef and one server present (from what I saw) and although it wasn't incredibly busy at 9;45pm/10:00pm, there were a couple tables, a couple take out orders, and the service was still amazing. Everything we ordered were very good and we will definitely return. Only main downsides I cam speak to were some details to the food. The end pieces on the radish roll were disappointing- just shrimp vs the fish going through entire roll and the spicy albacore burritos crispy fried rice was bigger than the fish. Even with those downsides, I will not hold it against the place sincr taste was still on point. Example: The spicy Edamame (a dish we order at all sushi restaurants) was very good, steamy hot when served, easy to eat, and spicy garlic sauce, although very oily was so good.

Went on Thurs 10.02, at 7:30pm and the place was empty. We're the only 3 people inside. How and why they remain open until 2am is surprising to me. Food quantity and quality was poor. Been here before and the sushi burrito had more filling, now it's a skinny sushi burrito. The crispy albacore roll DID NOT match the photo and barely had any crunchy onion on top. In the past it was actual friend onions, now these come from a bag! Service was poor. Waiter did not come check on the table and I had to call for him out loud to get his attention since he was chit chatting with the sushi chef, which I didn't like. Stingy on napkins and soy sauce packets. Disappointed at the recent dine in experience.

Best value are the bento boxes. For $2 more you can select 3 items. I chose chicken teriyaki, mixed tempura and Cali rolls. I was stuffed. I ate it all. The chicken teriyaki could use more teriyaki sauce and the vinegar cucumbers can use a bit more sugar. It was too vinegary, imo. I liked the mixed tempura. It was light in color not overcooked like some other places. Clean and spacious restaurant. Service was on point. Plenty of parking. Go give them a try.

I have been to many sushi places, but this place is an absolute gem!!! I went there for the first time and did the all you can eat. Many many generous portions, many items to choose from. Three rounds, outstanding!!! our host was so nice, caring and brought our food in a timely manner. This is an excellent place for date nights, families and much more. I will only be coming here in the future. A wonderful experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone if you love sushi. You will not be disappointed, will be very happy and a returning customer!!!

This place is absolutely wonderful! I highly recommend the all you can eat sushi. It's not nearly as expensive as other places and it doesn't exclude a bunch of items. This AYCE Sushi gets 5-stars. The 911, Sunset, and Baked Crawfish rolls were my favorite along with the Cajun tuna, I got the Cajun tuna all 3 rounds very satisfying. 3.5 STARS Taking the place of where "Wasabi Sushi and Roll" used to be, I was excited to see a new AYCE sushi place open up in the neighborhood. We came on a Friday for lunch ($31.98 PP) and was able to get seated right away as there was only one other table occupied. For the AYCE option, you get 3 rounds and are limited to 1.5 hours for your dining experience which seemed reasonable. We decided to order the Sashimi Salad, Mixed Tempura, Nigiri, as well as a few specialty and premium rolls. All our rolls came out on a large beautifully displayed charcuterie board so 'Hello Sushi' definitely gets points for presentation. As for the rolls themselves, I enjoyed the Premium rolls as they had minimal rice and focused more on the fish, but it was unfortunate you are limited to one premium roll per person. The same goes for the "premium appetizers" which were good but limited to one per person. The AYCE rolls were okay, but definitely had a high rice to fish ratio. The tempura was good and had a nice light but crunchy batter. The one item that really fell short for me was definitely the sashimi salad though as it was very fishy. Service was friendly and the food came out at a decent pace. As a note, the music inside is pretty loud and it felt like they were trying to be a club more than a restaurant, so don't expect to have an intimate conversation while dining. No complaints on the music choice though, other than the volume could have been taken down a couple notches. Overall, a decent experience for an AYCE sushi restaurant. If you're looking to give Hello Sushi a try, I'd definitely recommend shooting for lunch ($31.98 per person) as opposed to dinner ($38.98 per person) as there isn't much difference between their lunch and dinner menu. You get access to their premium nigiri sushi for dinner but are limited to one per person anyways. read more

Didnt realize this place did ACYE but the sushi here hits the spot! Came here for not AYCE on a monday night. I ordered 3 special rolls and none of them disappointed. Loaded with fish and huge pieces, I left happy and so full. I can't imagine AYCE but if you eat 3 rolls, you essentially get your money's worth. Golden Tiger roll (8pcs) = Im a sucker for anything fried and this roll was excellent. Still crispy despite sauces everywhere. Good crunch throughout. Giant Salmon roll= they do not kid with the overloaded salmon. Absolutely delicious and would recommend this roll. Solid! Orange roll = slaps of fish on top and in the roll. No complaints! read more

Ok so my wife and 2 year old son decided to go out to try a new sushi spot for all you can eat we decided to try this place only to have the longest wait time before getting food and when we get it they didnt even get it all there on The first round the only reason I am giving 2 stars is because the poor waiter is running around making excuses for the weakness of the sushi chefs pathetic performance. at the least beer was good but other than that substandard and not worth the wait sorry guys I have been doing this along time you have failed to handle your operation favoring other when clearly you have a hole room full of people waiting for there dinner .. read more

This is actually second time coming in for dinner and was genuinely impressed. I've been to quite a few all-you-can-eat sushi places, but this one definitely stood out in terms of flavor. I'm someone who really pays attention to sauces, and the ones used in their rolls were absolutely delicious -- rich, well-balanced, and paired perfectly with the fish and rice. I found myself finishing every plate faster than I expected. It was a bit busy when I arrived, but the staff handled it really well. It's dropped down in quality a whole bunch since they first opened up. They're no longer associated with Hello Sushi in Fullerton. The Nigiri had no flavor. Some of the sushi tasted real fishy. Yes, even though it's raw fish. The Cajun tuna was more smoky and less Cajun. At the end, the server gave me the receipt and asked me to sign. And then he walked away. No thank you or good bye. Just disappeared into the back. read more

Hello, the sushi was fresh, tasty and different than other sushi places, opted for the less rice types of rolls and more protein and veggie type of roll which fills and is satisfying plus healthy. The rolls were not all French with sauces making them wet n soggy like some places that love to do that. The service was pretty prompt and had the lay of the land to sit where ever was open which included a sushi bar. It was nice and chill atmosphere with no blaring music but still some ambient music along with 2 tvs one at the sushi bar and another n the dining area. It was totally cool to have a view of the tv since the Dodgers were playing and crushing it. read more

My new go-to sushi spot! The fish is always fresh and their ayce menu offers many tasty options at an affordable price. It's hard to come by a restaurant like this nowadays that offers superior customer service and delicious food. Came in tonight after a long shift at work, and this place was great. Was looking for a late night sushi spot and this is the place. Food was great and so was the service, special shoutout to the sushi chef he was solo and restaurant was pretty full, he was getting the rolls out quick. Will definitely be coming back. She recommended we come on a Monday so we would have more time to dine in. To compensate she gave us a bag filled with at least 20 sauces, multiples of each sauce on the menu. Made it back to work with 5 minutes to spare! I slowly grazed on my food as I worked. Had I been starving, I could have finished the bowl, but I ended up having about 1/4 left, breakfast for tomorrow! The food was really good, on par with any sit down hibachi restaurant. The original waiter left after he took my son's order was to come back to take mine and left didn't even know. finally a guy came over and was like did you need anything i said yes would love to put in my order where is the guy that helped at first he said he left his shift over totally disorganized. It's dirty hot clean there at all dishes piled up in the corner, two tables and can't even clean it up. The food- how do i say this Faukkkkkkkking awful. The sushi tastes days old, completely stinks, prepared sloppy. I have been to many many many sushi places all over the US and international. This tops the charts as one of the worst, the most gross, dirtiest sushi places. Fantastic service, top quality food and sushi, I'm an absolute regular at this place. I've lost track of how many times I've been here. Each time has been better than the last. Somehow my wife and I have managed to spill drinks on ourselves multiple times and are received with warm and caring service no matter how embarrassed we were. Also they are open late leading to many excellent late night dinning experiences. The owner is always kind and helpful immediately seating us. I genuinely love this place, a community gem. read more

We absolutely love this place! It's one of the only local spots with great sushi, drinks, and other foods that is open until 2am. Every waiter we were serviced by has been so kind and serviced exceptional service. We come here all the time, but on this specific night, the owner was here and she even gave us intro shots to an alcoholic beverage promotion! Prices are fair for the quality, and the ambiance is cozy, modern, and perfect for either a date night or dinner with friends. I'm officially obsessed. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and check this place out--you won't be disappointed. We came in for all you can eat and the Tiger and In-N-Out were favorites!! I ordered the Golden Tiger and the Crunchy Roll. . . AMAZING. Customer service was very good as well. Food came out pretty fast and really good. The place was very nice and welcoming. The food was amazing and the salmon nigiri was to die for. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We didn't know the rules of all you can eat but the manager was so understanding. Pushing through those final bites was only possible with the help of amazing music. read more
