The food was mediocre. The service was shitty. Took us 35 minutes to barely get WATER. We ordered things that we did not receive, and I was still forced to pay for it, with their vague and empty threats. There were only 3 other tables dining, yet the service was pretty much non existent. Another party asked for their bill to be corrected because the waitress messed up, and she loudly shit talked on them in spanish. She then messed up my bill and didn't fix it after looking me right in the eye, assuring me she would. Plus the whole place smells like cheap cleaner. 1 star. Food is better elsewhere. read more

Came in because of an instagram ad I had seen which advertised $19.99 happy hour AYCE for a limited time. When we arrived they wouldn't even mention it until we asked. Would have appreciated if they had explained the promo to save customers the confusion. Selection was pretty extensive and the fish was decently fresh. However, do wish they would reduce some of the rice. Overall for $19.99, it was worth it and I left this place satisfied. Service was lacking though, we had to wait quite a bit and flag down the server. read more

The staff was attentive. Dinner was $39 per person for all you can eat. However, we felt like the variety of choices doesn't worth the $39. With that amount of money, we would find another ayce sushi place with better options. There are lots of sushi rolls options but not for appetizers or hot dishes. Quality was okay. My party and I paid for 1 AYCE sushi and an a la carte bento box. Within two bites of the second AYCE round (this location offers 3 rounds), I pulled a long hair out from under a piece of raw fish. Obviously, there's already a higher risk involved in trying out a new sushi place with the aspect of raw fish involved, so this moment made us queasy and entirely lose our appetite. If you can't trust them to not let hair fall into the food, how can you trust them to have quality fish that won't make someone seriously ill? We asked for the check and were not initially offered any sort of discount for the inconvenience, despite only eating 1/3 of what the price of AYCE promises. There was no manager present at the location, so our server had to call her manager back and forth with our concern. We were initially offered only $6 off a $62.47 check. We ultimately ended up paying $54.93 - too much money to leave still hungry. read more

I usually do not write Yelp reviews, but this experience unlocked that power. My girlfriend and I went in excited for sushi and left with trust issues. The fish quality was rough. Some pieces tasted like cartilage, which is not sushi, it is a chewing exercise. To be fair, there were a few good pieces, but of course they were premium and only allowed to be ordered once. Even then, they were mid at best, so the mystery remains. Service was incredibly slow, but we stayed hopeful. Then the soda saga began. No Coke. Only Pepsi. Fine. But the Pepsi was flat. Flat Pepsi should be illegal. For $40 per person for AYCE, I should have been at XFish FR, eating happily instead of reflecting on my choices. read more

I stopped by this this AYCE sushi spot located in the Metrocenter in Fullerton. There is plenty of parking, although when it is busy there are plenty of nearby businesses that are packed. The inside seats about 50 at a time I would say. I saw that they were doing a $20 AYCE lunch happy hour special from 12-3 so I decided to stop by. The menu excludes nigiri/premium items but the rest of the menu was available for eat. I tempered my expectations since it was such a good price and braced for what I thought would be a subpar sushi experience. I was pleasantly surprised to find the rolls I got while simple, were certainly enjoyable. I got the Giant salmon roll, alaska roll, and baked salmon roll (are you seeing a trend here?). The giant salmon roll has a little bit of a spicy sauce drizzled on top which made it the perfect bite. The Alaska roll was solid as well and tasted fresh. The baked salmon roll was tasty but they go a little heavy on the sauce which makes it a tad overwhelming. While we did have to wait a bit due to the line forming outside, the servers were attentive and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. Overall a pretty satisfactory AYCE sushi experience. I would want to stop by again to indulge in this special. read more

Tried Hello sushi in Fullerton last night for the first time. My son, daughter, son in law, and 2 good friends joined me for all you can eat sushi. The sushi was delicious and we all stuffed ourselves with tuna, salmon, various rolls, and other tasty offerings. 3 rounds of sushi were brought to our table by the servers and we got down to business with some serious noshing. 5 of us had been rock climbing so we worked up a healthy appetite. The service was well paced. The waitress checked in on us a few times each round, refilling drinks and ensuring that we were doing well. Just the right amount to be sure that the table was happy but not intrusive. We ended up closing the restaurant down. We were the last patrons when we left at 9:50PM. But we weren't ever rushed by the staff. Good low noise level during dinner, comfortable for having conversations around the table. I'll definitely be back soon. read more

We were seated at a table that people were obviously sitting at before, please at least reset the table. We could see water cup marks and the serving plates and chopsticks were moved. And we're suspicious the server re-served us the same water from what it seems customers that left. The menu is very odd, it lacks authenticity and far from traditional. Food quality represents the price, not flavorful, portions and presentation off, felt amateurish. Tried to muster any good points for a better review but couldn't think of any. The happy hour is a scam, wouldn't waste your time coming here. They advertised happy hour 12-3pm. I'm here at 1:13pm and they won't let us join the waitlist even though there's only 7-8 parties ahead. See picture of the waitlist, and they claimed because it will be 1.5 hour wait time that we won't make it in time so they won't allow us to join the list to qualify for happy hour. The wait definitely would've been only 45-1hour so they clearly don't want to honor their promotions. I just left and went to Gen across the street because I won't support a restaurant like that. The fish is fresh and they prices are even better!!! If I lived closer to hello sushi, I would seriously be coming here every week. I have seen hello sushi on IG and Yelp so many times and there a reason why there's so much hype. The restaurant itself is pretty casual and the front lady was running the restaurant like a well oiled machine! There was no wait on Friday around 8:30, and she seated us quickly while speaking to her colleagues on her walkie-talkie and getting our drink orders. We just ordered 2 rolls each and it was definitely enough for me with extra! I ordered the spicy albacore and king cobra roll. The king cobra roll was phenomenal. The shrimp tempura inside was fresh and crunchy and not stale like many other sushi restaurants serve there tempura in rolls. The sauce was great and it wasn't too spicy. The spicy albacore tataki roll was HOT. The fish on top was excellent, seared with a smoky flavor, I felt like I was eating Aburi nigiri in Japan it was so good. The sriracha sauce was something else though, I had to wipe it off it was so spicy, so only order this is you can handle the heat! My favorite were the orange rolls. I was not expecting the salmon and tuna that topped the rolls to be so thick and fresh. I usually don't order rolls with fresh fish on the top because it's usually so thin it doesn't add much, but these pieces were amazing Hello sushi it's a top sushi place for sure. The quality is amazing and their prices are so good. I hope they continue to keep it affordable despite their fame on Yelp!
