At night, the ambiance is so romantic with all the hanging lights. We got the lobster risotto and the steak and they were both to die for. I wanted another full helping of them lol. The chef also came up to introduce himself, which was a meaningful touch. Good to know if you're not staying at the airport: there's complimentary valet, and then you have to take the elevator to the 4th floor FIRST, then ask for a key to get to the 9th floor where the restaurant is. My dad planned a father , daughter and granddaughter date and he hit the mark. He knows we love to watch the airplanes take off and land and this was on my bucket list ! This was my first time here and I had an amazing time. Very professional and knowledgeable staff. The ladies took good care of us and gave amazing recommendations for my daughter who has a great palate. The food was phenomenal as well as the presentation. Ahh, my final Magical Dining of the season. I'm so sad that it's coming to an end, but I am so happy that it happened. Out of the top six MDM menus that I sifted out, Hemisphere was the only $60 one of the bunch. So expectations were high. Ambiance was insane. The restaurant itself is a giant room with a second story that is loft style, so all the upstairs diners can peek over and spy on the bar patrons down before. Beautiful artwork adorns the walls, and of course, the aspect that everyone talks about, the mega window overlooking all of the planes taking off at MCO. It was quite the view. The best view I've ever had at a restaurant, I'm sure. As for the food, it was solidly five stars. Everything we had was amazing, and a pro-tip, if you are in the building between 5-6:30PM, there are $10 happy hours apps that aren't a full serving of their apps, but that's good anyway, because then you can try more things. We got an extracurricular app before the dining started. It was nice. Apps Tempura Vegetables (broccolini, sweet potato, cauliflower, green beans, kecap manis sauce). Very light and bubbly tempura breading on nice veggies with just enough bite to them. Not a heavy app at all, and that sauce adds a nice zing. It's so good, ask for a second little cup for sharing. Crawfish Chowder (Hemisphere's specialty for over 30 years). Um, yes, this was the bite of the night. I do not understand how they got this kind of depth of flavor and seasoning into this thing. Very creamy and smooth, seasoned well, but probably not offensive to even the boring palates out there. Mains Niman Ranch Pork Chop (apple brained 16oz tomahawk chop, brussel sprout mustard, anasazi beans, shimeji mushrooms, pickled red onion, apricot glaze). This was insane. Such a well cooked chop, juicy all the way throughout even though it was a thicc boy. The mustard seed heavy mustard added just enough acidity to cut through the rich fattiness of the chop and the beans. And the sweetness of the glaze, it was just so well built. Whole Snapper (soy and herb marinated whole fish, coconut Jasmine rice, pickled vegetables, tamarind chili glaze). This was good. Certainly a visual spectacle. Moist, juicy fish, fried well, not greasy. Do not be fooled, this is just rice, covered with coconut milk. It wasn't bad. Just make sure you mix it all up before eating all the milk and leaving just rice. And yes, there are many bones, so just be careful. Desserts The most effort was put towards dessert. Their pastry chef has a brilliant mind, whoever it is. Honey Semifreddo (silky, frozen honey semifreddo, rich chocolate cremeux, golden honey tuile). I cannot believe the strong, perfect honey flavor that this semifreddo had. It paired very well with that rich chocolate, and there was even unadvertised cake chunks on the plate for some texture. Very fun and playful and delicious. Peach Pastel de Nata (warm, flaky, Portuguese style custard tart with peach sorbet). This custard tart was perfect. Very flaky and with a very nice texture custard. There was more than just sorbet on the plate, too. There was meringue, a cream of some sort, and actual grilled peaches. Another very fun dish. I never name names, but our server was the direct reason this place went from a five star to a four star experience. At the end of the meal, she obviously lied to us about coffee needing to be brewed, including throwing her coworker under the bus about the situation, and her attitude about making the lie seem less obvious really cemented the fact that she looked at our age, our dress, probably incorrectly guessed our salaries, and assumed any extra customer service wasn't going to directly add to whatever tip we were going to give her. So, that was a bummer. Lots of boomer types around us in nicer dress certainly got a lot more TLC from her. So, sorry Hemisphere, but maybe just do some extra training with your staff on treating everyone the same. I'm sorry, I'm never like this, but it was just so obvious. read more

Pros: I love restaurants that participate in Magical Dining Month. I will always support restaurants that support our City Beautiful. Ambiance is beyond belief. The tables are all set to beautifully, and they all look out towards the airport runways, so you get to see the flights take off one after another. It's very cool. The food itself was really delicious. The appetizers were full of flavor, the entrees were cooked perfectly, and the desserts were some of the most creative I've seen in a very long time. Cons: The service was very weird. Our server was all smiles and charm, but it became very apparent that she did not believe that a couple of MDM tattooed Millennials were not going to leave her a good tip. So just be wary and demand satisfaction if you fit that description. Tips: Magical Dining is over, but the amazing things we ran into were the crawfish chowder, the pork chop, and the honey semifreddo. If you come here, get those items. The appetizer I got the peach pastel de nata which was a little bit disappointing for me. The egg tart wasn't as good as I imagined it would be. The sorbet was the only thing I enjoyed. I also got to try the hibiscus one which was definitely better than the peach egg tarts. Environment Located at the airport and inside the Hyatt. It was a little maze to find this place for sure! There is plenty of parking that's for sure. Make sure to go towards terminal B parking lot and them to terminal Top which would be closer to the hotel and resturants (there are signs). Get the parking ticket cause they validate your parking if you dine in. Once entered the hotel lobby, take the elevator up to the restaurant. The interior is very nice, if you go when there is still sun out, you will see the planes at terminal be taxiing taking off. Very nice. There are booth seats and tables inside. Dining, was a lovely experience. Seating throughout the restaurant allows for parties of 2 or even 6. I came here for Magical Dining and was really impressed by the food! Everything we tried was perfectly cooked, well seasoned, well balanced, and had nice and interesting flavors and textures. It's hard to pick a favorite out of the dishes because they were all so good! If I had to really nitpick though, I would say the pork chop was exceptionally good, I think anybody who eats pork would love this dish. It's a cool airplane-themed restaurant since it's located in the airport. Parking is complimentary and located on the 4th floor of parking garage B, just make sure to get parking validated by the restaurant staff. First time at this restaurant and it was a nice experience. I went to try the magical dining option. I tried the chowder. The size was a bit smaller but the flavor was amazing! They give a type of cracker with it that was the perfect combination. I also ordered the pork chop. It was huge and cook to perfection. Even though, it was a big piece of pork, it was so juicy and tender. I also tried a little bit of the snapper from my girlfriend. It was delicious. Finally, the dessert options really surprised us. They dont give the normal pies. They actually gave a nice creation that was perfect. I had the honey semifredo. I dont have words to describe how beautiful and delicious it was. However, everything couldn't be perfect. The service was not too good. First, it took a long time to get the attention to someone to get a table. The food was good especially the entree. I had the lamb. It was cooked perfect medium rare with a nice char. The mashed potatoes were velvety and carrots were soft and delicious. My wife had the short rib. She felt it was mostly fat and little meat. The waiter was prompt and kept drinks full. The staff was friendly. Great ambiance as we were able to watch jets takeoff during dinner. I had the mille feuille. It wasn't very good. Hardly sweet at all. The texture was tough and hard to cut. Me and my boyfriend had one of our favorite dinner so far in Orlando! The view is fantastic, the food is amazing, the servers, the chefs, the manager, the host, everyone we met were incredible. Some items of the menu change according to the season but some they are there always. My favorite dessert was the corn crème brule !! It was delicious, I love everything made of corn. My lobster risotto was fantastic and my boyfriend loved his pork! You can go before or after a flight, but we went just for dinner, and it was amazing! If you are there at sunset I'm sure it makes for an exceptional view. This restaurant is part of the $60 menu for MD. Since the food took a while our waitress gave us the bread on house. We started with drinks my husband ordered the Smoke Box sour which came with a fancy show with the drink & I got their seasonal drink Flying to FLORIDA . Both were delicious. For our magical dining meals my husband order the Chipotle Caesar for appetizer , Chicken Vichyssoise as his main course , & the Key Lime Panna Cotta for dessert. I ordered the Tempura vegetables for appetizer & the dipping sauce was so good , Niman Ranch Pork Chop as my main course, & the Classic Creme Brûlée as my dessert. My husband & I enjoyed our meals . Their food was so delicious and good portions as well. They offer a great variety of food for the magical dinning as well for their regular menu. We finally managed to time one of our flights right with trying this place out (and during Magical Dining no less!) The dining room is extremely spacious and we were seated at a table right next to the window with an amazing view of the planes taking off and landing. Our server was super nice and made excellent recommendations. The crawfish chowder had lots of chunks of crawfish and the burrata was large and came with plenty of bread. Starting off with our server Slavica, such exceptional service she was very friendly, and you can tell she knows her food down to flavor descriptions even helped us take a group picture. The food every bite was like walking on cloud nine. Even the desserts were delicious. Florida is known for its key lime desserts, but this place won the Gold metal of Key Lime the perfect combination of not too sweet or too tart. The ambiance is casual chic with soft instrumental music in the background with the view of the airplane field at every table you may sit. As for finding this place, you can either park in terminal A or B, follow the signs to Hyatt parking on the 4th floor. What a classy and elegant restaurant! Hemisphere is located in the Hyatt at the MCO airport. Parking was a little difficult, you have to get off on terminal B and parking is on level 4. The restaurant is on the 9th floor overlooking the airport which is an amazing view. Came tonight for New Years Eve dinner and was so impressed with the service and the food. I started off with the Duck Wings, this was my first time trying duck and it was really good. The duck wings had five spices, cherry gaze and a cashew relish. I got the Seared Scallops for the entree and holy smokes it was delicious! The dish came with 4 scallops, squid ink pasta, broccoli and a saffron sauce. The chef came out and was nice enough to bring 2 extra scallops because he thought the 4 he gave me was small so I definitely appreciated that! For dessert I got the Lemon and Lychee Meringue, when presented it had a little fire on top to give it that flavor. It was very good but not my favorite. To drink, I had Rosé which was very good! They had nice piano music playing the whole time. The price of the food was a little high but it's definitely an experience and I do recommend coming here for a nice night out! read more

We were late for our reservations due to the difficulty in finding the entrance for the hotel. When we got there, we were seated immediately and the staff understood our dilemma and gracefully accepted us. The ambiance here was Great, romantic atmosphere, excellent service, wasn't noisy very intimate setting. My Fav is the huge glass window that oversee's the runway. At night you will see the runway lit up with all the lights. I ordered the Picanha steak cooked medium well over a type of rice that had diced salsa verte and sweet potato. The steak was a little too charred for my liking which somewhat overshadowed the flavor of the steak. The rice was a nice complimentary side to the steak. I wouldn't order this type of steak again..would probably opt for the skirt steak instead. This cut is usually more moist and would be more appealing in my opinion. Next we had the grilled Salmon with risotto and asparagus. The salmon was very good, had great flavor, and very moist ...but it was my first time trying the risotto but seemed too mushy reminding me of oatmeal. A party of two could, by sharing some reasonable starters, find a "bargain. " I enjoyed a delicious but diminutive starter of panko fried oysters with a delicious sauce and then a more stunning Scallop entree and ink squid porky pasta in sublime saffron sauce. A bit of a mixed experience here. Service was excellent; my waiter was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu, and the manager was kind and enthusiastic and checking up on all the tables to get feedback on guests' experiences. The pear salad was great, and almost like a dessert, with toffee-crusted pear and butterscotch vinegarette. The corn creme brulee was a unique dessert that wasn't overly sweet. However, the octopus was very disappointing, tiny and overcooked. The mushroom toast had good flavors, but it seems like the bread was not toasted beforehand; it was soggy from all the toppings. Overall, I felt like it was a very expensive experience for mediocre food. But still, DEFINITELY better than anything I've eaten at an airport! The view of the planes flying and landing is definitely an experience! The servers were friendly, attentive and helpful! Grilled Octopus - For me, this is a must have in this restaurant! The charred flavor alongside the chimichurri vinaigrette was just *chefs kiss*! Crawfish Chowder - This is also a must have! Creamy and rich! And it also had a good amount of crawfish that was perfectly cooked! Seared Scallop - I didn't really like this much. The scallops were a bit too salty! And I am a person who loves salty food. And the squid ink pasta didn't really add much into it. Seasonal Catch of the Day - I forgot what type of fish was included in this one. It was some sort of white fish. This included a delicious mushroom risotto that paired well with the fish. Highly recommend! Dark Chocolate Tower - This was so delicious! If you are flying out of terminal A or B, you should be able to dine in there with no problem before going through security. I showed up at about 6 PM on a Thursday and it was not crowded. This is a great place to get dinner and drinks and watch the sun set while planes take off. They were outlets under many of the tables, which I thought was a nice touch. I got a salad with Mexican flavors that was recommended by the waitress. That was really good and I would not have ordered it if she had not suggested it for my entrée. I got the cauliflower steak (I'm vegetarian) which I found tasty alongside the purée that it came with. However, I did find myself hungry again an hour or two after eating here since there was minimal carbs/proteins in this dish. Had dinner here during a 1 night stay at the MCO Hyatt Hotel. Restaurant was conveniently located on the 8th floor, not far from our room. We were seated next to the glass window that overlooks the airport. Ambiance was good, although it was quiet on a Thursday at 8pm. My wife and I each enjoyed our drinks. No appetizers caught our eye. We each ordered the petite 6oz Filet, with mash, asparagus, and other potatoes. Thought the meat was priced a little high at $10/oz, and at $10 a price you'd think the sides would be shareable but they weren't. Enjoyed the crème brûlée desert, and the key lime was good too. The location is very convenient in the middle of A & B terminals in the atrium right before security. Also, airport food is the pits, so it was nice finding a real restaurant that wasn't Chili's or Macaroni Grill. Smh. The restaurant is located in the Grand Hyatt, and you'll have to go to their lobby and get a key to get to the 9th floor to the restaurant. The location is beautiful, quiet, and understated and they allow you to "park" your luggage when you walk in, under the stairs, to the right of the hostess stand. There was no question about tagging or checking it, so I suppose this would be scary for some. I was comforted by the fact that there are cameras everywhere and that we had to get a keycard from the lobby to get up. Our luggage was perfectly safe for the duration of our one hour breakfast! The menu for breakfast/brunch is REALLY diverse! I ordered the protein omelette with fruit instead of toast and it was SUPERB. The lox was fresh, the fruit was too-- no old, rotting strawberries and mushy grapes here--and the coffee and mimosas were carefully cultivated for the discerning traveler. That is to say, the coffee was HOT and fresh (not burnt or watery) and the mimosa was heavy on the champagne. My girlfriend, who does not drink orange juice, was able to get her mimosa made with cranberry juice-her preference. I had mine with grapefruit and it was REALLY delightful, I've never thought to do anything other than a mimosa or bellini before! Protein omelette 5/5 Coffee 4/5 My girlfriend ordered "the breakfast" --with two scrambled eggs with vegetables added, turkey sausage, and home fried potatoes with peppers and onions. With a little Cholula and salt, it was delicious. The sausage patty is clearly housemade --the freshness of the meat and strong hint of sage made that clear. With a little salt and hot sauce, it was one of the best sausage patties we'd ever tasted! The potatoes were nothing to write home about, they were a little hard and tasted like they'd been double fried to reheat them. They were also lacking any discernible seasoning, but after a liberal application of salt and pepper, they were palatable. Eggs 4/5 -the portion was huge and hot, but she requested scrambled hard and they were a teeense runny. Sausage 5/5 -add salt & Cholula! Potatoes 3/5- Blah. Overall, it's better than any food court option, the ambiance is nicer, and so is the view. If you've got a decent layover, I recommend you give it a try. Mixed results. The environment is so cool and unique and the service was great. In that manner, the experience is worth the cost. In terms of food, the value is less clear. The drinks were great and the crawfish bisque was one of my husband's favorite soups- ever. We also ordered the mushroom toast which was fabulous. That said, it fell apart with the entrees. My husband had a steak which was lacking seasoning and was a bit dry. I had the scallops which, on their own, and were great - but the squid ink pasta and sauce they came with were incredibly flavorless and didn't seem to match the description on the menu in terms of flavor. We might be inclined to try again, except the cost is so high to justify another miss like that. read more

Came her for Magical Dining on a Saturday evening. First of all, drove 3 loops around terminal B and could not find Hyatt valet, so ended up in Hyatt self parking. So to find Hyatt valet, you have to go past terminal B arrivals and departures as if you're leaving the terminal, and then you'll see the valet sign on the left. Weird. But anyways, they validate self parking also. You also need to get a keycard from the hotel desk to use the elevator to the restaurant. Finally made it up to the restaurant. Great views. Food was yummy. Had the datil shrimp and crawfish chowder to start. The chowder was soooooo good. Definitely get that!!!! Had the short rib for dinner, which was good. Then had the summer passion fruit bomber and the miso Carmel semifreddo. Both were really good. Our waiter told us that the restaurant is actually a lot busier on weeknights than weekends. Good to know for future visits as well as the puzzle of finding the hidden valet entrance lol read more

I can't remember our severs name but she is from Croatia. I had my 18 month old with me and my huge family with me as well. She was so accommodating. We also asked her questions about her travels and background. She was SOOOO friendly. The type of waitress that makes you feel at home. She brought my son plastic utensils and made sure everything was kid safe. The food was fantastic!!! read more

If you're looking for the best filet in Orlando this is the place! We have dined her twice now. While the first experience wasn't very good, we ordered off the magical dining menu. The N.Y. strip offered on the menu came out extremely chewy and fatty and the "Cesar salad" that we got as our appetizer was basically just romaine lettuce w some chipotle Cesar dressing. Not worth the $35 when you can chose from 15 other menus in Orlando that offer a nice filet and a better appetizer. We came back a second time to try the filet because my husband really loves the ambience in this restaurant. Absolutely beautiful views overlooking the airport. Cool to see the planes come in and fly out especially at sun set! I highly recommend you pay the up charge for the filet! Honestly the most flavorful tender cut filet I've had in Orlando! The chefs got the temperature PERFECT medium for my husband and I's filet. The mashed potatoes that come with the filet are so smooth and creamy with the besttttt flavor! The filet comes w a red wine glaze also but honestly not needed since the steak is so flavorful. It is a really nice glaze and adds even more flavor to the filet. Thanks to Shelby the sous chef for checking to make sure all our food was perfect! We had Mark as our server the second time who took amazing care of us! We will definitely ask for him next time! Also.. make sure you order the tempura vegetables! These are magical!!!! The sauce that comes with them is out of this world, I could pour it on everything! Also great to dip your steak in, if you have any left after the vegetables are gone. My husband and I are not big on fried food, but we would come here for this dish alone!
