Our last night in Florida and we decided to make it easy on ourselves by staying at the airport hotel. And McCoy's made it even easier by providing a great restaurant with excellent drinks. We ordered the MCO Traveler's Trio platter, and the presentation was surprising. We ordered the Brisket Tacos, the Roasted Brussel Sprouts, and the Thai Chicken Tenders. The chicken was based on the recommendation of our waitress, and MAN O MAN! She was NOT wrong. The chicken was perfection! Don't get me wrong, the Tacos were savory and the veggie was delish. We also ordered a 10" BBQ Brisket Pizza to share with some jalapeños... and we were able to split everything and finished it all. I had an Old Fashioned while the wife had her Gin & Tonic, as well as, her Lemon Drop. A perfect meal for our last night together. Saying at the Orlando Airport Hyatt since we had an early flight in the morning and wanted to get dinner at McCoy's sine last time we were here we had gotten drinks and the menu looked good so this was their time. We came down around 5:45PM to get some drinks. They had a High Noon bucket special 5 for $20 so for an airport that's a great price. We then decided it was time to order food. I will say they have a lot of options and they also have a Sushi Bar which also looked good but I was going with something I was just craving. I went with the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich and for my side I did the Crawfish Chowder since it just sounded great. Within 15 to 20 minutes our food came out and it looked very good. For sure better then your average airport food. I first got into the Crawfish Chowder and wow this was great. Creamy but not too heavy with get seasoning and so many Crawfish in it. You really got one in each bite. Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich was also very good and was cooked very well too. Not a all over cooked. This is a good chicken sandwich the only thing I wish was that it had a little more spice. Yes it comes with Hot Honey but you are really just getting sweetness from it. The deviled eggs were not good, the whites were over boiled and there wasn't enough filling to fill the eggs, while the steak and Chimichurry was great. McCoy's is a lifesaver. Your flight finally lands later than you had planned. You check in for your room at the Hyatt, you are tired and you are hungry. Thank God McCoy's (located on the hotel lobby level) is open until midnight. The server was quick to take my order and my food came out in minutes. Crawfish Chowder - Now I'm not the hugest crawfish fan, but hearing that this is their money maker dish, I had to try a bowl. The creamy soup is delish! Little tender bits of crawfish in a balanced, creamy orange chowder that has the mildest of spices and doesn't have a fishy taste at all. There's a reason why this has been on the menu for over 30 years... Because it's good! It also comes with a cheese twist. Margherita Pizza + Pepperoni - Yup, I was that guy that asked for a custom pizza. Gimme the margherita and can you throw on some spicy salami? Thanks! A margherita pizza is tomato sauce, tomatoes, basil and fresh mozzarella, but they also add a pesto drizzle on top and it all works. I asked for pepperoni and boom! It's the best of all worlds. The pizza is large for a personal sized pizza, but not large enough to be a typical "medium" sized pizza at a pizza joint. I was stuffed and couldn't finish the last two slices after have the Crawfish Chowder. You do not need to be a hotel guest to dine here. Anyone can go up the elevator from the airport level to the hotel lobby level. It's a nice, quick spot to have a break and get some well needed nourishment, away from the hecticness of airport food court. After consultation, I decided to share Crayfish Chowder and Cubano with hubby. Cubano was on my list of must-eat on this trip (When in Florida, you gotta try Cuban cuisine!). Our server vouched for the authencity of Cubano, as she is half Cuban. I had high expectations for Cubano based on her word. Crayfish Chowder was devoured within minutes. The other adults in our party ordered Cubano with Cuban Black Bean Soup with pico de gallo (sumptuous with just enough spices and not overdone) and Shrimp Scampi (also devoured within minutes). Crayfish Chowder has been a signature dish for the past 30 years and is likely to be one of the highlights of this trip. This is a Restaurant in the Hyatt hotel in the Orlando airport so it isn't the most miraculous food ever but it was pretty good. We got the sweet potato sushi and the sushi roll that has the spring roll inside of it. The sweet potato was pretty food. The spring roll one I think had been sitting there and got soggy waiting for other food. We also got edamame which I literally saw him take out of a microwave and put salt on it but it was good. I also got the tachos which are tater tot nachos. I wouldn't recommend these. They were very over cooked and the cheese wasn't great. My mom got the fish tacos. Recently ate here on a business meeting with someone who was at the airport. It was my first time here. Nothing great but nothing bad to really say. An average dining experience. We arrived at lunch time and waited about 10 mins for a table. We sat for a bit before our drink orders were taken. We both ordered salads. I had the Strawberry Fields salad with grilled chicken. Honestly it was a decent salad. I've had better but also had worse. It was advertised as mixed greens. I got only arugula and spinach. While that is technically mixed, it wasn't what I was expecting. When dining here, even though this is part of the Hyatt, you need to remember it's at the airport. From the screaming children at the table next to us, who was throwing food everywhere (parents fault not the child) to the large groups of people with luggage coming and going. Although we said we were having a meeting and asked a few times for a table to do so, we were still seated in the middle of the action but it is what it is. Would I recommend it?
