HH Breakfast Sandwich: biscuit with chicken fried chicken, gravy, bacon, and egg with a side of potato
    Tiffany S.

Came here this past weekend for breakfast and it didn't disappoint. The breakfast meatloaf was so unique and so flavorful. The service was efficient and our server was really friendly. It wasn't super busy as we went really early so it made for an enjoyable environment with an ability to take the time and eat. My husband loved that Texas benedict. The cornbread was so lite and soft and the carnitas had so much depth of flavor and were incredibly tender.

The food here was such a good home style breakfast. I was obsessed with all the servers and hostesses, seriously the sweetest woman. The sausage patties were incredible. Overall good for a basic breakfast p

Four of us stopped by yesterday for an early breakfast. The main draw was their infamous giant pancake we'd seen online -- but funny enough, none of us actually ordered it. At $24.99 for one pancake? Yeah... we passed. We started with the cinnamon roll as an "appetizer." Flavor-wise, it was solid, and they definitely didn't skimp on the frosting, very sweet and generous. I went with the breakfast sandwich (with sausage) and a side of breakfast potatoes. The sandwich was okay... nothing bad, but nothing amazing either. I ended up adding salt and pepper just to give it a little kick. The potatoes, though... oof. I hate to say it, but they tasted like they were cooked in motor oil. Maybe it was a new pan or some old oil, but either way, they just weren't good. Even after salt, pepper, and hot sauce, I couldn't finish them; and that's saying something because I love breakfast potatoes. Total bummer. On the bright side, the service was excellent. Everyone was super friendly, and the place itself had a cozy, homestyle vibe, like somewhere you'd stumble on up north. All in all, great people and atmosphere, but the food just missed the mark for us. Sadly, I don't think we'll be back.

Henhouse Cafe is a gem of a restaurant hidden in Mesa Riverview. Bright, light, and airy, it is a pleasant place to dine with kind and polite wait staff, too. Don't sleep on Mom's famous pancakes (but you'll be sure to sleep afterward). At three pounds each times two, they are enough to feed a crowd, and delicious, too! We'll be keeping this place in mind next time we have big eaters (or need to impress someone).

Henhouse cafe started as a small operation in 2010 and has grown to four locations here in AZ. They are located in Mesa, two in Gilbert, and the fourth just opened in Tempe. They have won "Best of Gilbert" awards for many years. We ate at the 3rd installment right across the road from Sloan Park in Mesa. My HH breakfast sandwich was delicious. It's a large biscuit with fried chicken, cheddar cheese, bacon, fried egg, and gravy. The kids could only eat less than half of the huge chocolate chip pancakes. These were big, but the "mom's famous pancake" we saw come out to other tables was huge! The Texas benedict was a fun twist on a favorite; carnitas on cornbread with green chile hollandaise. Everything was tasty and the farmhouse decor is cute. We all walked out full and with leftovers. They offer 10% off daily for service members and 15% on Mondays. Check out this great breakfast option in the East Valley.

Love this place.. Plenty of parking, seating & good food selections. Sat at the bar since it's noticed they had a large private group & short staffed, this would allow me quicker service & no extra walking for the staff. I was served by Trevor, he is a good man, attentive, friendly & quick to help. I am very impressed by Trevors work ethic, therfore I want people to know the younger generation can be great. Thank you Trevor. Ordered the chicken & waffles; coffee is hot & good, the waffles were perfect & the chicken was a little chewy, but it's fried so what can I expect. Love this place, get here, see my friend Trevor & try anything on the menu, it's delicious .

I had Natasha as my server that morning we came in for Breakfast, she's the most sweetest person ever . I placed an order for the strawberry waffles and the breakfast combo . Everything came out hot and fresh and full of flavor . I absolutely love the decor a hidden local gem with farmhouse style decor with home style cooking !! Please ask for her when you come here she's super attentive and absolutely amazing!!!

Green chile skillet with eggs over easy and no cheese

Absolutely the best for breakfast in the area. The pineapple juice mimosa was perfectly balanced and the green chile skillet with carnitas was delicious-just the right amount of heat. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The ambience is lively bit not too loud. And the service was friendly and fast. It's a quick walk across the park from the Sheraton and a great place to meet for breakfast!

Came here for breakfast with the family on a weekend. It was pretty busy but we still got sat pretty quickly. I like how spaced out the tables are, despite it being pretty busy I didn't feel crammed or too close and personal with the neighboring tables. Everyone enjoyed their meals, my chicken was a bit rubbery I won't lie so I definitely would opt for a different entree next time. The waffle was yummy.

I was very pleased by the quality and service at Henhouse. High quality sausage along with the delicious potatoes to go along with my eggs. What a difference a "mom & pop" place is compared to a chain. I always seek out a local restaurant than a chain. If you're near a Henhouse, GO!

This is a great little coffee house/cafe. There is a rather extensive menu with lots of coffee,…read moreread, and smoothies. They also have a menu of breakfast and lunch items. You can buy bags of coffee to take home, too. There is a case with donuts and pastries. I love that they have some colorful earrings and tumblers for sale. The person at the register was so nice and helpful, making sure to go over all our options with us. This place was a burger king in it's forever life, but all of the old signs of plastic booths are gone, and that have been replaced with wooden tables, industrial metal chairs, a bar height communal table, and a leather sofa/chair conversation area. I love the beamed ceiling and the mountain scene made in wood on the wall. We ordered an iced turtle mocha and a cold brew. Both were delish. I never drink black coffee, but the cold brew was so good I would drink it black. We also ordered roast beef melt, panini style, and the ham and Swiss melt, also panini style. Both were yummy. They were each served with a pickle and a bag of chips. There were several people working on laptops when we were here. They even have a printer available which is a huge plus for people here working. There were several rainbow flags and even a rainbow themed drink of the month, so this place is definitely lbgtq+ friendly. This is a great little spot, and I certainly see my self returning.

There are two drive thru kiosks here and ordering is all through a screen. On my most recent visit I had a caramel rockaccino with cinnamon and oat milk. It didn't take too long for it to be made and it had a well balanced sweetness and creaminess. I'd definitely get it again. I appreciate that you can bring in your own cup for them to use for your drink and it appears that you might get a little discount for using your cup too! The way they handle pricing and ordering makes no sense. You cannot see the price of anything upfront. When you go to order, you are shown multiple sizes for drinks but no prices at all. You have to add items to your cart just to figure out what anything costs, then remove them and try again. I stood there for way longer than I should have just pressing buttons trying to figure out pricing. On top of that, they have a sign out front advertising one dollar coffee, but when you actually go through the menu, there is no one dollar coffee anywhere. It feels misleading and honestly frustrating. You end up wasting time trying to find a deal that does not seem to exist. Good coffee, but the overall experience and decisions around ordering and pricing completely ruin it.

Well, it's not there so I'll just have to give them 5 stars again :) This is my favorite tea cafe in the valley. The vibe is very much Lofi Girl, iykyk. Super chill and a bright, open space to enjoy some delicious drinks. The staff here are friendly and welcoming. When I come here I usually get iced fruit tea, milk tea, or matcha. They have unique and well flavored drinks. On my most recent trip I ordered from the current seasonal menu. They also have fruit teas, hojicha tea, and espresso drinks. It can be helpful to check their website and see the pictures and descriptions if you're trying to decide what to choose. I had the iced jasmine matcha with oat milk and Mont Blanc foam. This is the best flavored matcha drink I've had compared to matcha drinks I've had in Japan. I watched her hand whisk the ceremonial grade powder, making it well blended and smooth. The delicate jasmine sweetness and the very citrus forward Mont Blanc foam really paired well together. The jasmine version doesn't come with that foam so I paid extra to add it, but well worth it. So delicious! In the past I used to get the earl grey milk tea and strawberry lemon green tea. I'll definitely be back, continuing to try out other drinks. I've liked everything so far from Crafti, and that's saying a lot because many boba or tea places are just too syrupy sweet for me, here it's nice flavors and sweetness.
