I was friendly to everyone and was bouncing around and talking to everyone until I encountered the Karen who told the bartenders that I grabbed her crotch when I only talked to her. WTF?! Disappointed that we were paying customers and the waitress who had gotten off work decided to override our comfort as customers. We had asked for a certain request and she came once and not only twice to close the door after letting the host know hey we would like this open because we were cold and helping that wind that was bothering us. We continued to move inside and that when we noticed her drinking with her friends/co workers. Again we have all been there and don't mind the after drinking with coworkers but don't go out of your way to inconvenient the guests it's always been a rule as an employee. My BFF and I ate burgers and fries at Hennessey's this past weekend and had a great experience! We devoured our food. My only complaint...I wanted more. My friend said he was glad they didn't give us too many fries cause they were so tasty and we'd already overeaten. I had the regular pub fries. He upgraded to the parsmesan fries. (Burgers come with a side of fries.) Our server, I think her name was Amy, was so friggin nice. She took our drink order as she seated us! How great is that?! And she offered up ranch dressing for our fries, which I love. I've never had a server just ask me if I wanted a side of ranch; I always have to ask. They had a band that night and, although, I didn't stay that night to listen, I've been there for bands before. It's a good time! They have indoor and outdoor seating. It's really great sitting outside on a beautiful summer day or evening. Not gonna lie... the bathrooms are less than desirable and need complete upgrading. Terrible experience here. Very very very chaotic at the bar. They seemed to be grossly over staffed for 5:30 PM Saw and heard a man in his mid 50's who may be the GM lecturing and then negatively counseling one of his employees for the better part of 30 minutes right at the bar. Leadership 101: give praise in public, give counseling in private. 0/10 Also, I'm usually "THE" POC in MOST of the dives I like to pop into. So I'm used to side-eyes and funny treatment, I don't work that into my experience when I review business establishments because it's an "any given day" kind of thing until you know otherwise. There was also a weird moment where a server shattered a glass about a foot from me. Glass shards made their way into my arm and I spent some time picking them out. Neither of the 4 employees who were near or saw it paid any attention or offered apologies or even a bar towel to clean the glass up. Completely unacceptable. Never coming back here. read more

Pretty standard bar fare. We had salad, burger and a couple of beers on Sunday night. The salad was mediocre, and the burger was just alright. We asked for medium and the meat came out well done. We ended up having to ask for a new one, and when they brought out med cooked burger, it was actually pretty good. I'm sure if the bar is happening, the food isn't a huge factor. On Sunday night, it was kinda dead, so I'm not sure if we came on an off night. Service was kinda slow, but we were sitting out in the patio, so that might have been a factor. First I'm going to start off by saying it was disappointing going to an Irish pub/bar/restaurant that did not have Guinness on nitro. We came here on a Tuesday because they do 2 for 1 burgers. We started with a round of Irish car bombs. $12 seems a little steep for 1/3 pint of Guinness and a shot. But oh well, there was a great burger special. 2 burgers and fries for $15 is pretty awesome, so I can't complain about the size of the meat patty. Our table ordered the mushroom Swiss, blue cheese bacon, moo-cluck-oink, and Frisco burgers. The frisco burger was the best especially since it was served on toasted sourdough bread. Another good thing about this place is their fresh squeezed juices served with vodka. I would definitely recommend the greyhound. The grapefruit juice was delicious! I work down the street at Riviera House and me and a few of my co-workers came in on Tuesday night after work for a drink. We are all people of color. Persian, Latino, Brazilian, and Black. We were polite and the bar tender told us to go to the upstairs patio. We did, and when we got there the door guy started screaming at us to leave because we had 7 people in our group. The guys at the table behind us said " It's okay we are leaving right now they can have our table." That table had 9 people at it. Door guy yelled at us again at the top of his lungs even though no one was saying anything. So we went down stairs and not even 5 seconds later the table of 9 came down. We went up and sat down at 2 different tables complying with the new Covid rules. The door guy yelled at my friend to move further away even though she had her back to me. My Latino friend and I were at one table and my Persian and Brazilian friends at the other table. The bartender comes up and takes my friends order while standing 5 inches from my shoulder, and turns and walks out ignoring me and my Latino. I was very upset between the door guy and the service. Clearly this place has some blatant discrimination issues so me and my Latino friend left. My Brazilian friend came after me but I was done. She went back in the bar and the manager (who said she was new) dropped their check and rudely told them they were done. All in all, I have been in the service industry for 16 years and if this had happened at any job I worked at then people would have been let go immediately. This is 2020, I would also expect employees in the service industry to not be racist, but I guess human decency and simple respect are too much to ask for. I've been to the one in Hermosa Beach and since moving to Redondo Beach, I wanted to try this place out. On a weekday night it was easy to find parking and find a seat, it is seat yourself. The waitstaff is attentive and but we did loose her for a bit while waiting for the check, but she came right up afterwards and redeemed herself. It's a typical restaurant and pub but they do have the burger of the month. They've a ton of promotions and deals, especially if it's your birthday. If you come here during your birthday week, you get a free entree. Anything on the menu! Take note of this place for that. I picked up the shepards pie and my friends entrees came out first before mine, so it was a bit awkward having them eat while I was waiting. They were even waiting for me to finish eating, since they finished first. I'll go back and try some of the other items on the menu. I'll update my review accordingly but it wasn't enough to make me like it. The saving grace was that it was my friends birthday and she got her free dinner. read more

Just finished breakfast here. Very disappointed. Upon the arrival of my breakfast I noted a black hair in my food. The waitress took it and said it would be remade. It was not remade on the fly as it took approximately 30 min to come back out. She even went back to recheck on it. At the end of my breakfast my small hypoallergenic non-shedding dog was in my lap. The "manager" approached me and stated per the health department she had to be on the ground. Ate here tonight, had ahi tacos (B), Shepard's pie (A-), and sweet potato fries (D), the latter earning a D grade for being soggy. Service was just OK. Biggest disappointment was the beer selection. When we asked for an IPA, the only thing they had was Sierra Nevada (not an IPA) and Sculpin. This is a tavern, so I would expect way more beer selections. There are so many other better options in the village, making this restaurant hard to recommend. read more

I have been to the Hermosa location and enjoyed the food, I wrote a review on a previous Yelp account. The wife and I stopped in for lunch today and found ample seating outside, inside and out back on the rear patio. Service was friendly and polite. We had our choice of seating and were asked for our drinks requests quickly. Renee ordered a appetizer of chicken strips and fries which was the size of a regular meal for her. She enjoyed them. I ordered the monthly special mushroom burger and sweet potato fries. Both meals were hot fresh and tasty and my burger was cooked as requested. Kell was friendly and helpful n polite. Parking is hit n miss depending on time of day. Thanks all for a nice lunch today and we will be back for more. Came here to eat dinner on a week night. Not the best place to eat dinner considering its a bar. The people at the bar were loud and crazy. The restaurant also has dim lighting so it is difficult to eat here with a group of people because its dark and loud. They give you a free burger for your birthday (you have to go within the week of your birthday). This is such an awesome deal and it can be any burger you want. They have a good happy hour menu that goes from 4-7pm. If you want any substitutes they will do it for you. Parking is difficult to find. There are meter spots but are usually all taken. read more

If you happen to stumble in on a Friday or Saturday night you'll most likely be lucky enough to have Amy as your server. This girl is the best! She's on it, she's friendly and she's funny as hell! Ok I literally have never had worse service anywhere ever in my entire life. No exaggeration. And I've had LOTS of bad service. After all, I do live in LA. Had lunch there this past Saturday and our waitress Sabrina was unbelievably rude. Not even in a subtle way. It was like she already hated us for absolutely no reason. Only was there once before and we had a different waitress and everything was fine. We had to flag her down to take our order and for everything else we needed because she was just wandering around the place on her phone. Then when I flagged her down to ask her for our check she literally rolled her eyes at me. Blatantly and not even trying to hide it. When she brought the check I asked her "Did you roll your eyes because I asked you for the check?" And she back peddled and was like "No you're my only table." You would think if we were her only table she'd be a little nicer and more attentive. I have no problem admitting I did NOT leave a tip and I wrote on the receipt that I was going to leave a tip but was treated very rudely. Worst part is the manager was walking around but did not seem to want to tell his waitress to get off her phone and actually do her job. This place was very cool. We searched all around to find a bar that was playing the NBA finals game that actually had the SOUND ON! We went to Rock and Brews initially, and they were so nasty, we left. Didn't order food or nothin! We hurried to get to this spot after calling around, and they were very nice and accommodating! They didn't have the sound in inside the bar, but showed us to the upstairs patio, where they immediatly turned on the heaters and turned the sound on the game! Our waitress was really nice and payed attention to us without being a helicopter. The food was pretty good for pub food... the fries were great! I had the fish tacos as well. Crispy, and fresh, and bae liked his burger. There were only 2 drawbacks. The patio is a smokers area. It has a retractable ceiling which lets the smoke out, but both of us HATE smoke... but beggars can't be choosey, so it was all good. The major baddy was the bathroom. High key yucky, but hey... it's an Irish pub. The fact that I wasn't ducking a fight or slipping through beer is a miracle, but it'll cost them a star. Over all, great spot to watch a sporting event! My hubby and me, and our two golden retrievers love this place so much that we try to come once a week. Our favorite time to come is during happy hour. Great prices for drinks then and we love the happy hour appetizers, especially the carnitas street tacos. Hennessy's has such a great vibe and just about every server we have met is a fellow dog lover. We especially like Trevor, who is extremely congenial, motivated, and competent.
