    Risotto balls

We reserved a table for 2 at 6:30 on a Wednesday and got seated right away. The dining room we were in was really packed but started clearing out as the night went on. We ordered the crab pot pie, heritage burger, risotto balls and a small portion of the short ribs. Pot pie crust was great but a bit on the salty side. The burger was cooked well and beef tasted very fresh. Our favorite was the risotto balls and short ribs. The risotto was crispy, a bit cheesy and paired with a really solid marinara sauce. The short ribs were cooked perfectly, melted in the mouth and paired with mashed potatoes. Service was a bit slow since they were really busy but the waiter apologized for the wait and checked in several times throughout the night. Overall a really great dinner spot that I would recommend!

9.19 Wife and I came in tonight and met another couple for dinner. We sat in the bar area as always and totally forgot it was happy hour throughout the whole restaurant. We really enjoy the small plates here -- they're the perfect size and let us try more things off the menu. I do wish they would add a few more small-plate options to give us even more to choose from. I wasn't able to add any photos to this review since I've hit my 85-photo limit and need to delete older ones. Tonight my wife had the wedge salad with chicken fingers. Our guests had the fried cauliflower, chicken fingers, grilled chicken with fried potatoes. I had the chicken and biscuits. Everything was very good tonight. I do wish the wedge salad came on a slightly larger plate so it's not falling off the edge, but the flavors were excellent. As always, all the food we ordered was great. We also tried the seasonal dessert -- something similar to an apple crisp with cinnamon ice cream -- and it was delicious. I tried to post a picture, but again, I'm out of photo space. Overall, another excellent meal and great service. And as usual, it's always nice to see the owner walking around checking with us to make sure everything is okay.

    "Bolognese pasta"

A shameful attempt at what they claim to be bolognese pasta..."This is how it's been coming out all night" they say. Wouldn't order from here again if this is the quality they're willing to serve for $29. Cute fall decor though.

Husband and I were looking for a quick bite to eat and decided to try this place. Quaint restaurant off a side street- takes you back to an actual Main Street kind of feel. We were greeted when we walked into the 'foyer' of the restaurant and were offered the bar area (a bit loud and sounded like a good time) or the dining room. We sat un the dining room- set up in the sitting room area of the house. We ordered light fare and the portiins were more than enough. It was absolutely delish! The poutine fries, taco and sandwiches were great. The flavors of the Bahn Mi sandwich were on point. The tacos- you can order 1 at a time- were stuffed with meat (ordered 1 to try as an appetizer) They offer daily specials. We will definitely return.

    Do they have vegan options?

I'm sure if you ask the chef will/can fix you something that you can eat. They are great, all of the food is very good.

Do you have to have a reservation?

We do not require that anyone make a reservation but it is a limited space that fills up quickly so it is recommended.

When we first arrived, it was extremely loud inside because the music was playing and everyone was trying to talk over it. After we had been sitting for a few minutes, the music stopped, and the atmosphere became much more enjoyable. Everyone had been trying to talk over the music. For drinks, I ordered a Whiskey Mule made with Bulleit Bourbon, and my wife had an iced tea. When I took my first sip, my drink was extremely sour. I asked if they had accidentally made me a different cocktail, and they said no, but immediately offered to remake it. I told them that whatever extra ingredient made it so sour could just be left out. The second drink was perfect, and I really appreciated how quickly they took care of it. For dinner, my wife ordered the chili, and I had the pork tacos. As always, the food was very good. We were sitting at the bar, and I asked Gordy about a couple of the beers they had on tap. He asked if we had ever has any of the sour beers. He came back with a sample of the Double Blueberry Marshmallow Sour. He was right! It definitely had a tart flavor at first, but it also had a nice sweetness. The blueberry flavor came through right away, and about 10 seconds later, I could really taste the marshmallow. It was a unique beer and fun to try. Overall, we had another great meal. The staff was friendly, they handled my drink issue without hesitation, and the food was just as good as we've come to expect. We'll definitely be back.

Overall, we had a generally good experience, but admittedly there were a few things that kept it from being a great one. For me, the biggest issue was the very start of the visit. It wasn't clear whether guests were supposed to seat themselves or wait to be seated. I hate standing around aimlessly and looking lost while we figure out what protocol is. We eventually sat down but then went quite a while without a server, which made for an awkward first impression. Once someone did help us, however, the service was very friendly and welcoming. The young lady was truly helpful and friendly but also very busy. The drinks were very good, but I wish the menu did a better job describing them. Many of the listings focus on the alcohol being used, which is great if you're already familiar with those spirits. I enjoy having new drinks but I was not familiar with these, so for those of us trying to decide what something will actually taste like, a little more detail would go a long way. We also tried the bourbon flight, which was fun and gave us the opportunity to sample several different bourbons. That said, the price was incredibly high. I enjoy tastings and flights when I visit new places, but at that cost it's difficult to justify doing again. As far as the food goes, the highlights were definitely the flatbreads and wings. Both were delicious and easily the standout items we tried. Their food is 100% worth trying. I wish we could have eaten more but we simply couldn't! To us, The RAD House had a friendly atmosphere, good drinks, and excellent food. While it may not be quite my scene, I think it's worth a visit and we may return just to try more of their delicious food. I still miss the little fish market but I'm glad a good establishment took its place!

It was pretty busy, but she checked on us throughout and even made us some off menu drinks with no problem.

We figured it would be busy since it's an Irish pub on St. Patrick's Day, so it wasn't a big deal when it took about 10 minutes for the server to come take our drink order, and another 10 minutes to come take our food order. Then there was the wait. Since it was a busy day, I figured about 30 minutes, maybe 40, so I expected our food would be ready around 8:20-8:30; our food was not delivered to our table until 9:23... and it was a little cold, as if it had been ready for a while, but never brought out. I ate about half of mine and took the rest home. My wife only ate maybe 3-4 bites of hers. After reheating at home, the food itself was fine; I had corned beef & cabbage (yes, cliche) and my wife had fish & chips. We were given a basket of kettle chips around 8:30. The wait was long enough that my wife ordered a second beer (which she doesn't usually do); was a little disappointed that it wasn't comped because of the long wait. What made it worse was there were a few tables that were seated after us that got their food before us, including a party of 6 that finished, paid and left before our food even arrived. I'm willing to give the place a second chance on a different day. I get that St. Patrick's Day is probably a rough one for them. But if the kitchen is over an hour behind, that should probably be mentioned before any orders are taken.
