On this trip to Napa, I wasn't looking to spend loads of money on a fancy meal this time around. Yelping the area and I found Heritage Eats with great reviews and I was not disappointed! Heritage eats is located in a Whole Foods plaza with lots of parking. I arrived right around opening and there was one other party ordering food. The workers are really energetic and courteous. They all seem to vibe well with one another. The food hails from Vietnam, Thailand (my people), Jamaica, and Mexico and all fusioned together here in Napa. I love the decor and design of Heritage Eats. It's very fun and trendy. We ordered the Vietnamese banh mi on dutch crunch, Thai lemongrass pork baos, and Jamaican Jerk Chicken baos. All of them delicious! The lemongrass pork was so tender and flavorful but a little too salty if you eat too much of it. The jerk chicken was tender and the mango habanero sauce really threw a kick in the mouth; so spicy. The baos comes in pairs, are large (not Chairman Bao size), and were soft but a little thin. Not the picture perfect kind but still taste all the same. My only complaint is the Banh Mi meat ratio was a bit too much and made the sandwhich a bit salty. Good that they give you lots of meat but bad that it overpowered the sandwhich but I still really enjoyed it. Get a order of the waffle fries too. It reminded me of a potato wedge/waffle fries hybrid. We also got the hibiscus tea which had a more of a spiced flavor and the Thai tea. Overall great food, great place, and great workers. We arrived before closing and wanted to eat in before our hour drive home after a basketball game. One of the guys at the register was rude when we went to pay: he looked at his watch and made a rude comment about not taking our food to go. We should have been able to enjoy our food. And there were other customers still there too. When we were walking out the door his comment was "it's not like I make more money" . We spent $100. read more

I am a fan of their lemongrass pork and I like the fact that they constantly explore and introduce different flavors and infusing various cuisines together. I loved this place on my most recent visit to Napa. It's in the same plaza as the TJ's, very convenient. It's similar concept to Chipotle but I was told while I was there they don't say the C word. Stick to calling it a Subway wannabe and you'll be in their good graces. I got the chicken tikka masala burrito wrap and my husband got the jerk chicken rice bowl. I ate my burrito like there was no tomorrow, all of it, in one sitting. My husband loved his bowl too - I only managed to get in one bite of his jerk chicken to try. Very flavorful! read more

The owner Mr. Benedict K, who was making my sandwich, looks up, and proceeds to calmly tells me how much time he spent in Vietnam (the Heart & Soul of Banh Mi) also traveling throughout the world to get to the source of all types of delicious sandwiches & more... After removing my foot from my mouth and actually trying the sandwich. I could actually tell the him and others how truly good it is! Bring on the lynch mobs...one star for the service and one more for the pita chips. No stars for the fusion gone wrong sandwich. We ordered the Jerky Chicken on Dutch, by the time we were half way through the salty sweet sticky mess we gave up. The wet bread fell apart and really blew it for me. There is something to be said the experience of a hand made tortilla with perfectly caramelized carne asada or lemon grass chicken in crunchy Vietnamese baguette with pickled veggies, as individually they have been refined/perfected over decades or hundreds of years. Melding together for the perfect experience. But when you try to fuse the two or more is where it goes wrong. Leave perfection alone. I am sure the individual ingredients are done right but when you start throwing in the United Nations of food into whatever carb you pick...all you get is a shouting match between people who do not agree in your mouth. This is a casual counter-service joint that would be good for lunch or dinner. It's sort of like Chipolte, in that your meal is put together on an assembly line, so you receive it fast and to custom order. There are choices for asian, mexican, and indian style foods in a bowl, sandwich, or tacos of various shells. It's an interesting concept. Furthermore the food is good. I had essentially a Bahn Mi lemon ginger pork/veggie mix inside a Bao dough taco shell. It was very tasty and I received it fast. I would eat here again. My only comment about this place is that the staff were very chatty with each other about hanging out with their friends, going to a party, etc. and it seemed very non-professional and not very attentive. Also they just seemed a little sloppy (clothing and hair) and the dining room could have been picked up better with several dirty tables. read more

My husband, daughter, and I love this place. It is our go to place to eat when we're up in Napa from Fairfield. The food blends delicious flavors beautifully and we always leave feeling healthy and content. We recently enjoyed a catering order for 12 people for a Birthday/Super Bowl party. The price was very reasonable and the food was a big hit with family that had never tried it. Ben is awesome with communication and customer service. Wanted to love this place, but turns out it's like Chipotle for world fusion salad and sandwiches. Not bad! Food did not stand out despite what they were trying to achieve with exotic flavors. Enjoyed the selection of fusion meals. From jerk chicken to Tikka masala to shrimp tacos. They have a couple of suggestions on wraps, sandwiches and bowls but you can also customize your own bowl with salad or rice. I had the jerk chicken bao (bao is some type of bread but honestly didn't enjoy it and i love any kind of bread, pita, bun what have you). May taste better if it's warm and a bit crispy but it was cold and didn't add anything to the dish. So would get a wrap or bowl next time. Possibly try the other roll they offer. The waffle fries were amazing and enjoyed them with cilantro lime sauce and habanero ranch. We came here after wine tasting and it hit the spot They also have a variety of drinks from horchata and hibiscus lemonade to Thai tea and beer. You can add tapioca but since there is so much ice, the tapioca get stuck in the bottom and you can't get to them. So don't bother getting them :) read more

I am going to give this business 3 stars instead of 1 because I do feel like this business is pretty amazing. They are extremely creative, especially during COVID. They came up with so many ways to keep their business thriving. They are constantly coming up with new menu items and fun pop ups and now their food truck. The unfortunate thing is that me and my family can't enjoy their food. I feel like they have options for everyone but those with allergies. All of these new menu items their all meat and dairy. Nothing for plant based folks. We want new fun food to try. I have eaten here with my family and spoke to the staff about our dietary needs due to allergies. They assured me their falafels are gluten free. The advertise this, but why would you make a gluten free product when their only cooking method is cross contaminated oil. That makes them not gluten free or even vegan as dairy is in this oil as well. This is not something they are honest about. I had to find this out for myself as my husband worked for them. I couldn't figure out why I kept having allergic reactions when I ate here. I'm allergic gluten, corn, soy, all animal products I was very open about this. I watch staff not changing their gloves prepare meat and dairy and than make our food. I address this and get attitude and dirty looks. Why am I being made to feel this way for just asking for resonance accommodations. Cross contamination is a huge issue and food allergies should be taken with a lot more concern. I also got their vegan coconut soup they advertise this as vegan, found out theirs fish sauce in this. You can not advertise a product as vegan if it is not. I'm really disappointed in the lack of options. Food allergies are out of our control, to find places that are safe and accommodating is really hard these days. Unfortunately we can eat at this business and I really wish that weren't true as I really loved their food. I'm hoping that one day they will make accommodations to serve everyone in their community and show some compassion to those with food allergies. read more

OMG - They NEED TO EXPAND! I live all the way in San Ramon -- & I am really sad that I have to go all the way to Napa for something like this place. This is a Chipotle-style place. You fall in like - tell them exactly what you want on your order. The line works the same so if you are familiar with Chipotle - you should have no problem ordering here. They have ample outdoor seating and indoor seating as well. Their décor is soooo cute! I love it! They have signs of where your meat comes from. I ordered the #7 Crispy Falafel Pita which is a toasted pita bread with crispy chickpea falafel, crunchy slaw, pico de gallo, hummus & lemon tahini sauce. So BOMB! It was legit filling! I had their sweet potato fries & waffle fries - can't go wrong with potatoes! The employees are super friendly & checked in on us from time to time. If it wasn't so far away - I'd definitely go here on a weekly basis. Totally recommend! read more

I'm really surprised by the rave reviews here. I think I may have just ordered the wrong thing, and gotten a newly trained employee, but here it goes. I ordered one of their featured menu items even though everything can be customized and it was really disappointing. I got the Chicken Tikka Masala Wrap and the chicken was dry, the sauce was brown, not creamy, and had hardly any kick to it whatsoever. The vegetables they threw in there were soggy zucchini and yellow squash. The first third of my burrito was JUST RICE. Whoever wrapped it didn't even make sure that the entire wrap was covered by the foil/paper because, the top end of the wrap actually was touching the counter top near the register when I was waiting to be rung up. When I started to eat it, it just completely unraveled. Zero effort from whoever wrapped it. I really almost asked if I could do it myself. The two stars is for the reggae wrap my boyfriend got: Grilled Jamaican jerk chicken with crunchy cabbage slaw, sweet pickled veggies, daikon radish and pineapple habañero with yellow rice, that was quite tasty. If I had that, this would probably be a better review. They also decided that my boyfriend's wrap was worth of a re-wrap, even though mine wasn't. So we ended up waiting for that after we had already paid, and then the person who was manning the register attempted to hand it to another customer. Overall, I felt like this was a place they took ethnic cuisine, white-washed it, and offered it in the form of a salad, bowl, or wrap. Essentially, it's Chipotle with more "exotic" ingredients. If you come here, I'd recommend getting anything with the jerk chicken and the pineapple habañero. read more

We were in the Napa area and was looking for a place to grab a bite to eat. Based on yelp reviews, we decided to give Heritage Eats a try. Boy are we glad to have done so. It's located in the shopping area right next door to Sift cupcakes. Upon walking in, the staff greeted us immediately. If it's your first time here, the menu can be a bit tricky but the staff is more than willing to explain everything and inform you of your options. There is ample indoor and outdoor seating, and for the most part, the restaurant was clean. I ordered the Jamaican jerk chicken wrap. It's more a burrito, especially due to the portion size, but either way it was delicious. My wife ordered the Thai bao. Man that thing was just as delicious! I know because she let me have a bite. It's not a small bao either! We also ordered some cris cut fries. Nothing special about them. Mainly ordered them as a side to our wrap and bao. If you're in the area, give, Heritage Eats a go! Great place with a unique menu. Don't compare this place with chipotle, Heritage Eats has a whole different concept. Me and my husband were on our way to Castello for wine tasting and came across this place on the way. I got chicken tikka wrap and he ordered Jamaican chicken boa. Best thing about this place is that you can customise your food and they have a very creative menu with 9 food options from different heritages like India, Jamaica, Thailand, Falafel and lot more. We asked Ben of Heritage Eats Napa for some last-minute help with catering for our volunteers at The Leaven's 2019 Mayors' Gala. I selected Heritage Eats on a recommendation and had no idea what to order or what the food would taste like. Ben came through with a fantastic recommendation for our group. Jeremiah had it all prepared and ready by the time I hit their front door and helped me carry it out to the van with no delay at all. The food. I have to tell you about the food. Personally I don't get excited about wraps. Not my thing. Well, one bite of Heritage Eats wraps and I'm a convert. Very fresh ingredients and amazing flavor - and I just picked a random item from the tray. The salad was delicious too. Our volunteers loved it and the food was more than they expected. I'm not familiar with Napa but my gf took me here to eat and I was amazed! There's such a good vibe going here and the flavor of the food was amazing. This is a family friendly place with booths, high tables and "bar" seating. It's located at the end of one of the shopping centers in napa and there is plenty of parking. Another plus is the bathrooms are very clean and smell good, there is even a changing table in the women's bathroom. Kudos for being a reasonable priced, ethnic eats! read more

I stopped into Heritage Eats on a whim when I was in the plaza. After being drawn in by the seemingly cool vibe and doing a quick skim of their website to see what they offered, I figured they would be a nice somewhat healthy spot for dinner. The offering was interesting-- and maybe I just needed more time to sit with it or have an employee explain to me the menu a little more, but it was kind of all over the place. I thought it was Asian-based dishes, but then it was also Mexican and all sorts of other cuisines. I ended up doing a custom bowl with yellow rice. I got the carnitas pork, a variety of veggies, and the lime crema sauce. To start, the pork wasn't my cup of tea. I'm not sure how this was supposed to be seasoned, but it tasted like pot roast-- like it should be served with potatoes and carrots. The veggies were all okay, but it is kind of tricky to match all of the jumbled flavors into one custom bowl. Unfortunately, mine ended up tasting only okay. That being said, I like the concept and love a good rice bowl. I would give it another try and consider making tacos, a burrito, etc. instead of a bowl, as well as trying a different mix of fillings. read more
