Really enjoyed the food here. The chili verde is delicious! Try the 1/2 and 1/2 biscuits and gravy. The biscuits and whole wheat bread looked and tasted homemade. Only downside is they stop serving breakfast at 11 on the weekdays and noon on the weekend, for someone who enjoys breakfast at anytime of the day, this is a bummer. read more

The restaurant had a nice patio (a little too cold for me this time of year). The indoor seating was a bit cramped. I ordered a veggie benedict but was told that they were out of avocado, so I changed my order. I am glad they told me, I would have been disappointed if I received the breakfast with no avocado. I then ordered the regular eggs benedict. I know hollandaise sauce can be hard to make; here it was so-so. A little too thick and dark yellow. They also served chai, which I ordered with soy milk, but they had no soy milk, so I agreed to Almond Milk. It was ok, but not my favorite mix with chai. I would be willing to go back and try a more basic breakfast. read more

My family & another was visiting from Az. I found this little gem on Yelp. The food looked delicious and had great reviews. I am really glad we went there. We had a large party & they were so accommodating. The server was very helpful & honest w/suggestions, she was also very attentive. This place did not disappoint. The portions were very generous & there was not one complaint from anybody in our party. The burgers, chili cheese fries, green chili fries & the adult grill cheese were are REALLY good! When visiting Durango again we will be back but, hopefully for breakfast next time. Great little place that can easily be overlooked. read more

Came for brunch but we just came a little past 12pm, but the food made up for it even though not breakfast. We had the reuben sandwich, green chili bacon burger, southwest caesar salad and pulled pork sandwich. All were tasting like definitely homemade and had it's unique flavor although sounding like typical menu items. Each one of us truly enjoyed our foods, big servings and felt bad when couldn't finish all. Hot chocolate and coffees were also freshly made and good. It is mostly outdoor seating, tighter seatings inside, but the view is worth seating outside with the umbrellas. Coming back for the breakfast menu for sure! read more

Excellent burger. Cheesesteak was pretty good, but I'm biased being from Philly. Fries were cooked perfectly. Not a fan of the gyro as I'm not quite sure what kind of a f meat that was or if it was even meat. Weird texture and taste. An I'm also not a fan of tomatoes and onions cut in big chunks. read more

So I normally never give reviews, but as for this morning I feel I need to. I have been going here for years and absolutely love this place. I do not know what happened this morning. I arrived was greeted. Sat down. And then it all went south. I asked for a SWEET TEA... yes a sweet tea. Well I took a sip... it was SALT TEA. I about lost my cookies.. The waitress tried to fix it but didn't even say sorry. She came back with a NOT SWEET tea... no ice horrible. She took my order. Now I was sat... it came out as a Togo order.. I wanted to eat there. Well let's start here... I ordered one poached egg... crispy bacon, and. BLUEBERRY pancakes... well I didn't get crispy bacon and I did not get a blueberry pancake.. I got a plain pancake. And it was in a Togo box.. so if you get Togo... you think they would give you syrup, also some plastic ware.. nope non of that.. and wouldn't she have given me a tea in a Togo if it was a Togo order.. well as for today. This place was horrible.. now not blaming it on the place at all.. I am blaming the waitress who did not apologize for any of this. Very very disappointed! read more

We picked up breakfast to go, while traveling back home. It was all delicious! The servings were big, we could have definitely shared.

Do yourself a favor and eat here asap. We came here on a Sunday, sat on the heated patio and ate the best chicken fried steak I've had in a long time. I've heard the bagel sandwiches and to-go burritos are also very good but I haven't personally tried them. Totally worth the drive out of town for a nice weekend brunch! read more

If you get a chance, ask for Essence- she served us twice and remembered exactly what we like, and want. Very polite, precise and efficient waitress. I had a horrible experience all around. I bought buttermilk pancakes and hash browns. The pancakes were burnt so badly that I smelled it immediately. My husband assumed that it was just the smell from the restaurant and they had just burnt someone's toast. I brought them home and opened the box to not one, but all six pancakes so burnt they were almost black. I found huge slivers or burnt matter in my hash browns as well, meaning they hadn't cleaned their grill properly to get the charred peices off before cooking. I called the store and they offered to remake my order for me. I sent my husband in to pick it up and he was berated by the cook who told him that "these aren't McDonald's microwave pancakes, they're supposed to be dark." Unprofessional doesn't even begin to explain his behavior. This was an absolutely ridiculous experience and a bad representation of Durango and Hermosa. Needless to say, I won't be returning here and neither should you. read more

Great spot for breakfast or brunch. Ate here after riding the narrow gauge and before tackling the Potato Lake Trail, which was gorgeous in late September. Emma took good care of us with hustle and good humor. The red rock cliffs provided a lovely backdrop for our COVID-distanced outdoor seating. The Southwest scramble was delicious and just rightly spiced. My daughter got a kick out of her California Benny and decided she wants to learn how to make eggs Benedict at home. That's a win-win! We topped it off with a cinnamon roll as big as my head and much tastier. We had plenty of gas in our tanks for an afternoon of hiking. read more

Insanely good burgers. Great breakfast burritos. Great desserts and cinnamon rolls etc. Worth the drive from town. Nice drive too. Nice view from the outdoor eating area, friendly staff. What more could you want? Well I'll tell you. You want it to not close at 2pm, that's what more you could want. When you're comin down the mountain after a hard day's work and all you can think about is the best burger in town cause you haven't eaten yet that day, and you get there and it's 2:15, you will want more. Was disappointed that breakfast stopped at 11:00 and we arrived at 11:05. Drove the extra 9 miles north of Durango to eat here for outdoor atmosphere and breakfast. Not ready for burgers or lunch food so just had a juice. Outdoor seating basically in a parking lot but you can see Rock cliffs if you face out. Still give it a four for good service and others food looked good and was reported to be good by them. read more

I'm a pretty critical breakfast diner, without question the is FIVE star breakfast stop. The omelets are wonderful and the service is great.

This place is outstanding! This tucked away little restaurant has a great local atmosphere, friendly staff, and a lovely outdoor patio. We had a Cobb salad with chicken & a spicy Philly cheesesteak for lunch and the food was delicious, servings huge, & prices reasonable. We are only in town a few more days, but we will be back to try their breakfasts before we leave. So worth visiting! read more

The service here is so bad that I would rather A.) eat at the gas station next door, B.) drive 20 miles into town for food, or C.) starve to death. I thought it was a mistake the first COUPLE of times it happened, only to find out that bad service is VERY consistent here. These servers will put you at the bottom of their priority list and make you seem like your business is unwelcome. Dont ever bother trying to call in an order, you'd be lucky if they didnt leave you on hold and forget about you then not hang the phone back up so you cant call again. why'd I go back? cuz its close! But no longer will i be making the mistake, this place is for lost tourists whom dont know any better. . read more
