My experience with HEWLETT volkswagon dealership of Georgetown, has been nothing short of a nightmare. I called in about a used car listed online, worked a deal over the phone and signed paperwork and paid a deposit to hold the vehicle until I could drive to Georgetown from San Antonio the following day. The agreement I signed stated that I had a 5-day purchase window on the vehicle. My excitement quickly turned into distress when I found myself admitted to the hospital and kept overnight that same evening. Despite this unforeseen medical emergency, I did the right thing by texting the sales associate who I had just spoken to only hours earlier to let him know my situation, and that I will be needing to reschedule my appointment to purchase the vehicle. To my disbelief, when I woke up the following afternoon, SKYLAR the "sales manager"remarked that they thought I "wasn't coming" by reading a text I had sent the night before to the sales associate about rescheduling, and that he had already lined up another buyer ALL WHILE STILL HAVING HOLD OF MY DEPOSIT!! The dealership, without my consent sold the car from under me in less than 24 hours of me signing and paying a deposit on the vehicle I was going to purchase. Even while still recovering and over an hour drive away, I made an attempt to plead my case and ask if they would grant me until "end of day" to make arrangements to come up and finalize the purchase... Skylar refused. Only option I was given was that he would return my deposit and "if something fell through" with the other buyer. This disregard for customers and a written agreement between two parties... raises serious legal questions. They told me they'd treat me and my daughter like family and the did. P.S. BUYERS/LEASERS BEWARE!!!! Worst customer service I have ever seen. We lease a car through this establishment. We pay the highest warranty they have. Brought the car in and they are wanting us to pay money for the things their car is wrong with. Not only that, but they neglected to contact us when the issues were "fixed" and said they were waiting for our answer if we wanted to pay for the extra things. After declining several times, we were promised car would be ready upon pickup. Car was not ready. Was completely dirty and depleted of battery power (electric). We were contacted by a sales rep during the time of maintenance that our car was in high demand and they wanted to purchase it. They offered, 50% lower than an easy google search showed. It is obvious they used our car while "in service". I honestly don't even believe they worked on it. BEWARE!!!!! read more

**Terrible Communication and Wasted My Time** I am beyond frustrated with the service at this Volkswagen dealership. Three weeks ago, I made an appointment to get my overhead roof console fixed. I was told that they would call me to confirm if the part was available so I could bring my car in. Guess what? They never called. As a night shift nurse, I have a demanding schedule and lost valuable sleep to drop my car off today, assuming they had the part--only to find out they didn't. The lack of communication is absolutely unacceptable. Why didn't anyone let me know they didn't have the part? I would have happily rescheduled if someone had just bothered to call. Instead, I wasted my time and energy, and now I'm left with a car that still needs fixing. Mind you when I went to pick up the vehicle, Trevor, the person who was supposed to be helping me and Samantha, the service manager, couldn't even show their face to speak to me. I had to pull around to the other side of the building and talk to a salesman in order to get follow up information on my appointment. they also avoided my calls after i left to try and find out more info on if my car is going to be fixed or not. My son was in need of a used car after totaling his current car, so we began looking at what was available that he could afford. One of the cars that fit the bill was here, so we went to view the car in question and had a great experience with the salesperson (who had just started there a couple of days before). However, her manager gave us the ol' bait and switch and tried to get my son into a new car with a hefty car payment because, according to him, we would never get financed for such a small amount on an older car (my son was going to have $5000 from the insurance payout to put down on the car, so we'd only need the remainder of what was owed financed). Of course, we didn't do THAT deal since it really wasn't a deal at all and went to another dealership where we actually got almost the exact same car for less AND this other dealership financed the remaining balance without hesitation; they were also able to get us to buy an extended warranty on the car because it was priced very competitively. I know a dealership is going to make more if they sell new cars, but trying to saddle a 25 year old with a car payment he won't be able to easily afford instead of selling him what he was looking for within his budget is kinda slimy to me. read more

Updated Review for Yelp: I had a terrible experience at Georgetown Volkswagen. I went in for a scheduled visit to buy a 2025 Tiguan. After the salesperson ran the numbers, the monthly payment came out higher than I expected. Instead of working with me to find a fair solution, he brought in his manager, who immediately suggested that the Tiguan was "out of my budget" and tried to push me into a Taos simply because it was cheaper. Not only did this feel dismissive, but it also left me feeling racially profiled, as if they assumed I couldn't afford the Tiguan I specifically came in for. The whole experience was uncomfortable and unprofessional. The very next day, I went to Vanguard Volkswagen, asked for the exact same 2025 Tiguan trim, and gave the salesperson (Enrique) the same conditions I had given Georgetown. After just two quick back-and-forths, I drove away in my new 2025 Tiguan R-Line. On top of that, Vanguard offered me $2,000 more for my trade-in than Georgetown did. And since Georgetown decided to respond defensively to this review: let me be clear. My starting budget was $500, but the deal I actually settled on at Vanguard was much higher. Their team took the time to work with me, while Georgetown's manager didn't even bother to ask if I was flexible. Instead, they assumed I couldn't afford the vehicle I came in for and immediately pushed me toward a cheaper one. That's exactly why my experience felt dismissive and profiled. To make matters worse, their response to my review tried to discredit me by referencing "other reviews I've posted" rather than owning their poor customer service. That's not professionalism, that's deflection. In other words, Georgetown lost a sale because they made assumptions about me instead of treating me with respect. Absolutely disappointed in this business. I gave them a chance to reticfy their mistake. And they didn't provide. Dropped off my car on a scheduled appointment Thursday at 10 a.m. and wasnt worked on. (Which is fine) but the kicker is. I have a written message saying it would be priority friday morning and diagnosed by Raymond. Never was! Called Friday left a message and no return. Called again Saturday and talked to a business manager. (Nick i think) told me he isn't in service but said he would have someone call me back to give me details about my car. Absolutely no call back!. Then today on Monday they said they have it diagnosed. (This point I spent more money on Ubers to get to work,than what the service manger sam offered to be discounted for the work that needed to be done) FOR THEIR MISTAKE! AGAIN I HAVE A WRITTEN PROMISE BY THEM, SAYING IT WOULD BE DIAGNOSED FRIDAY! with all thos going on. They are offering to buy my car off of me. (Just want my car fixed at this point) tells me they are in the business of making a profit and not helping a volkswagen owner of 15 years! Absolutely in all my life. Never had a business do this to me. With all that said. Gave the manager a chance to make me happy. And they did not meet my needs. Goes to show their unprofessionalism and greediness! Got this car at the end of last year and I just had to replace a battery on it which was about $350 since they need a special computer to reset the system and let it know it's received a new battery. The air-conditioning is going out in my car. The gas tank door wouldn't come off at the gas station so I had to rip off the white door just to fill my gas tank up so I wouldn't run out of gas on the highway. The sunglasses holder at the top of my car inside stop shutting even though I don't even use it and so I had to take that off as well because it was a distraction hanging down while I was driving. Also one day I was fixing the air vent to point to a different direction with the little handle that's on the air vents and it completely broke off at the slightest touch and movement so now I can't even move my air conditioning vent left and right only up and down. Went to the dealership only need to find out they wanted to charge me $200+ just to look at my car. And there was nothing they could do about the battery since it was maintenance even though I just got this car from them at the end of last year and it should've came with a good battery. The tire light on my car will also not turn off even when all the tires are completely full of air. It's been a nightmare having this car and I regret even buying it from this dealership. read more
