Really busy so order ahead on the app or be prepared with your order at the kiosk and may wait 10-15 minutes. The Guava Green Grape was sweet and tart, and refreshing. The Jasmine Tea was pretty bitter but good if you need a quick and relative cheap pick me up.
Stopped by Hey Tea while in the area and it was the best decision my friend and I made before hitting the subway. My milk tea with boba was just perfect. They automatically selected lower sugar for the drink (the perfect option) and a great flavor. The matcha was also lovely. Our drinks came out within 5-10 minutes and we were on our way. There isn't any sit down space, so you'll need to bring your drink to go!
Out of all the cheese foams I've tried at HEYTEA, pistachio cloud might be my favorite. It's sweet and savory, smooth and nutty, and it enhances the floral note of their high quality king jasmine milk tea. And I just unlocked a secret hack: You can order the pistachio cloud (or any clouds!) separately, freeze it, and turn it into homemade pistachio ice cream. It tastes way better than store-bought pistachio ice cream (and cheaper!) This is my go-to HEYTEA location since it's close to my workplace. The staff are helpful and the drinks are usually ready within ten minutes even during lunch hours.
Hey Tea is good for the fruit tea, but honestly, they have a serious backup at the counter when trying to pick up orders. There's not enough space on the monitor to show all the numbers so the person doing the final touches keeps getting interrupted by people asking about their orders. They need better organization.

Service was good, I had a cloud matcha and it was the best matcha i had in nyc. Definitely recommend. If you see a line, it goes fast don't worry.
Rating: 3.8/5 [take out] HEYTEA was running a BOGO deal on their matcha coconut drinks, so we had to stop by on our way to lunch. They had three options: Matcha Boba Coconut, Coco-Foam Matcha Oat Latte, and Cloud Coconut Blue. Unfortunately, they were out of boba by the time we arrived, but we went ahead and ordered anyway. The shop itself is small and pretty busy, with some people waiting outside. Despite the crowd, the drinks came out pretty fast (less than 10 minutes). Matcha Boba Coconut ($7.99): Really good! The coconut milk jelly was sweet and tasty, and the drink itself was refreshing on a hot day. Would recommend. Coco-Foam Matcha Oat Latte ($7.99): A miss for me. It tasted watered down and wasn't sweet, so I was only able to drink half of it. To be fair, the ice and foam melted on our walk to Bryant Park which is probably why it was watered down.
I walk past Heytea all the time and decided that a friend and I should go in for a matcha and a mango tea. I had the mango tea, and it was made with real fruit that was very chunky and liquefied at the same time. I didn't try the matcha, but my friend assured me that it was good. She tried my drink, and we agreed on the taste. This place is more pricey than I thought for what you're getting, but it is a tourist destination, so the price goes toward paying the employees and rent. As far as service, it was relatively so-so -- I waited like 10 minutes to get my tea. The ambiance is pretty crowded. This place gets crowded a lot. Other tea spots that I know of in Queens and Brooklyn are relatively faster. I understand this is Midtown, so you know the service will be packed, but there's no way to properly sit down. You'd probably have to sit across the street where there are public seats. In terms of the place itself, you can count out indoor sitting -- it's not available.
Best boba ever. There is supposedly a hype about HeyTea in New York, and I can see why. Their boba's are spectacular! I've never finished a large thing of boba on my own so fast, or daydreamed about it back at home from visiting. HeyTea is a busy boba place. What I love about them is that their worker waits for you in front of the line to take your order (not behind the counter). It almost feels more personal, and they are super friendly about helping you make your choice. When I thought about switching my drink (because one original boba had like 800 calories!), the worker explained I can get it without sugar and it'll still taste good for fraction of the calories. Boy, was he right! My friend got their Jasmine tea, and that was probably the best drink there. And the good thing is that there is HeyTea back at home in OC! Thank you, HeyTea NY, I will be back next time!
I think the evolution of bubble tea is FASCINATING. I am in awe of this place and want to go back (please open one in Chicago!) This is not your powder-mix bubble tea spot (tbt to the early 2000s) or even kung fu tea (I mean, I used to call it Tapioca bubbles). I haven't craved milk tea in a long time because I'm only exposed to these types of places, but I'm so glad I tried Heytea! The whole operation is cool to watch - the cashier was so friendly and explained each drink to us - and the assembly of the teas were so efficient. We got the coconut mango boom and the matcha cloud coconut blue, and OMG IT WAS SO GOOD. There were pieces of mango and coconut respectively in our drinks - it was so refreshing to have on a hot NY day. Pro tips: -Even at 0% sweet, the matcha cloud coconut blue was sweet, so I'd recommend lowering the sugar content
3.5 / 5.0 - I tried HeyTea for the first time earlier this month and became so hooked I had to go again. This was my first time at this Broadway location, near the Times Sq - 42 St station and Bryant Park. There was no seating inside, with just a small standing area for order pick-up. You can order at the counter, on their kiosk or online. At this location, the staff was not very friendly and did not seem to be interested in taking orders. I was ordering on the kiosk so it was ok, but they didn't give the best impression. The drink itself was delicious--I ordered the Supreme Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea ($7.99+), with less ice and less sugar, which was still pretty sweet. Based on the service, this wouldn't the first location I'd choose for HeyTea, but if you're just picking up your order and don't care about the service, maybe it's ok.
This line is never as long as the one near Herald Square, thankfully! The drinks are just as good though. Coconut mango boom I would not recommend getting below 70% btw! It's good but not great like it usually would be. Blue matcha (or coconut) cloud was so good! The matcha cream was such an interesting take but it paired really well with the coconut milk.
IMO, worth the hype. I love coconut mango bloom. They always have deals so try it whenever there's a deal but beware of the wait whenever there are deals.
I had the strawberry boom takeout. The drink was pretty good I got less sugar but I wish I had minimal sugar. The chewy things were ok, not much flavor though I thought it was advertised as the pooping bubbles. Strawberry purée was tasty. Service was really quick. read more

Came here after hearing my friends hype this place up so much. And it lived up to the hype! I think one of their big selling points is that they use fresh real milk. And it really is so good and creamy. But the taste is a little reminiscent of soy milk so I think that will affect how much you like it. The boba itself is soo good. It's soft, chewy, sweet, everything you want boba to be. read more
One of my friends get this two times a week during her work office days and I'm just like wow I have to try it! This is my newest favorite bubble tea place now after having my first drink! After this I am a changed human! Their drinks are just so fresh and they're known for their cheese foam which I am a huge fan of!!! Grape is really popular nowadays and they offer it here! The drinks have the best flavor and the whole process of ordering was pretty timely and good. No hiccups inbetween. A few of my friends ordered the brown sugar boba and the mango coconut drinks and all were so tasty! This is definitely a must try on your boba list! read more

A newly opened chain popular in China known for this fruit teas! Finally got to try their signature drinks - the grape cheese and mango sago slushes. Will need to go back when it is not a freezing rainy day which made me enjoy the drinks less. The grape was super unique! Had never had a grape dominant boba before and I loved the peeled grape chunks that had a jelly like texture. 30% was not sweet enough for me. Mango sago was also good and I enjoyed the jellys but they don't have the mango chunks that Tiger Sugar has. There was no line to order but a long wait since most people order via the app and pick up. We waited ~10min for our two drinks but service was v efficient! read more
Got the standard brown sugar milk tea - ordered the hot one as it was quite cold outside. Not sure if I was that impressed. I could have done with more boba - I felt the ratio was a bit off. Service was a tad slow too although admittedly it was a Saturday evening. read more
Hearing about the hype, I dropped by HeyTea to try their popular Cheese Grape Bloom Tea. The wait was not as bad as I expected (10 minutes) on a weekday afternoon. The Grape Bloom Tea had real grapes infused in the drink which made it refreshing. Although refreshing, it didn't feel like a standout to me from other teas I have tried - I didn't taste the Grape flavor as much as I thought it would come out to be. I'm not a huge Grape fan so maybe that played into why I was underwhelmed by the drink. I might give the other drinks a try, but I don't think I'll be reordering the Grape Bloom tea any time soon. read more

Finally got to try it after a month! Was a super cold and snowy day so there was no line. The menu is posted right in front of the register and not on the screens so the photos from other people really helped. I got the mango grapefruit sago and it was honestly one of the best I've ever had. I get this drink at many other places and I really liked it here. I asked for 70% sugar. We waited lss than 5 min for our order which I was really surprised due to the numerous orders on the table from online orders. 10/10 for my first experience and will definitely be back to try the other flavors!! read more
I tried the signature grape w/ cheese foam & the green aqua jasmine w/ cheese foam. The green aqua jasmine w/ cheese foam was interesting and not to my liking. It tasted like jasmine tea w/ some salty milk mixture. The signature grape w/ cheese foam was better tasting than the jasmine one. It tasted good but it was not amazing or special. It tasted better if you drink it right away. read more

Famous in China and now it's making its stand in NYC! Once you step inside, there is a very pleasant and strong smell of tea. You can see test tubes full of leaves with labels and signs that say "real tea, real fruit, real milk, real sugar," which really testifies to the importance they place on their ingredients. I used the app which I found by scanning the convenient QR code right outside the store front. Although I ordered through the app, I still waited 30minutes due to the sheer amount of orders they had. The workers were non-stop preparing drinks. The Cheese Grape Boom boasts using fresh fruit and they didn't lie! The drink itself has a top layer of cheese foam (super well-balanced", grape slushy ice, then the grape juice. At first I thought a tasted a medicinal grape taste but then as I drank more it disappeared. Not entirely sure is it because I was scared of that happening and kind of imagined it. I loved how each sip had a bite of sliced grapes and clear jellies. This lasted until the last sip. In addition, my drink got progressively better as I was able to incorporate more of the cheese foam into the drink! My mom got the mango grapefruit which had super chewy sago in each sip. The fruit flavors were delicious. I like how there's an option of whether you want to include grapefruit pulp for those who don't like it. We thought it made the drink much better. HeyTea is one of the newest bubble tea/fruit tea establishments in NYC. I got the very grape cheese and the highland barley tea. I've actually never tried grape drinks, so this was a first. I thought it would be too sweet, but it wasn't. I felt like I had ordered a drink at 30% sweetness without asking, which is what I prefer, so it was perfect. The cheese foam was creamy and mild. The barley tea (I ordered cold, but there is a hot option as well) had a good, strong, nutty flavor and there is a layer of barley at the bottom of the cup. Delicious and nutritious! While I probably won't get the grape again, I'm excited to return for the mango grapefruit sago and other recommended drinks. read more

I heard about heytea's famous cloud grape boom drink from a friend and decided to try it out. It isn't cheap at about $10 per drink. There is also usually a bit of a wait at this location and sometimes they sell out (they did the previous 2 evenings I tried to visit). They do have a helpful app to help track your order that also gives discounts since they can have 20-30 orders ahead of you on a busy weekend or holiday. The drink was very unique and a fun combination of salty from the cheese foam as well as sour and sweet from the grape and slush. Definitely unique and worth a try. Not sure if it'll be part of my regular repertoire. They also have a different location a few blocks away that is significantly emptier which could be worth trying if the wait here gets to be too much. read more
Visit #2: The wait is still long on the weekends so it seems like the quality of their drinks is still good! This time I went with the mango grapefruit sago and I liked it. Then again what's not to like about a drink that's inspired by one of the best summer desserts, mango pomelo sago. I liked that they provide a bag and cup holders for 2 drinks or more. Visit #1: This place was super crowded on the weekend. The wait was at least 30 minutes but they had a TV screen where you could check if your order was ready or not. They have multiple ways to order which is probably why they were so busy. You can order at the counter, via their app or Wechat. There were a lot of staff working nonstop to push out the orders though. I tried the non-slushy version of the grape boom tea and it was so refreshing. The tea flavor was light but there was also a hint of grape flavor too. I really enjoyed the jelly that was added to the drink. If it wasn't so expensive, I would definitely get this on a weekly or daily basis. Next time, I think I'll try their other bestseller, the mango grapefruit sago. read more
i went on a tuesday night. this was my second time going to heytea cuz i liked it so much the first time but a different location. the line was pretty long and it took about 10-15 mins to get my drink. there was a girl in the way filming n taking pics of her matcha for like 5 mins literally in front of where the workers were calling out orders, i felt kinda bad for them. i got the coco mango and the toppings are similar to the mango passionfruit. the mango was soft and the sago was good. the drink was creamier tho and didn't have a strong fruity flavor. personally i would recommend the mango passionfruit drink over coco mango but this was also good. read more

Wait roughly ~an hour. Waited in line at 8:40pm. 30 min to order and another 30'min to get my drink. Drink was delicious, had a lot of tea fragrance and you can taste the fresh fruit. We were very sad that the grape was sold out by the time we made it to order.. It was also slightly on the sweeter end and we did get less sweet alrdy! read more

Cute bubble tea store near times square. Very small with no seats inside and can get quite busy with many people waiting outside. Although busy, they have a screen that lists your order number when your drink is ready. Delicious drink that was not too sweet. Loved that there were various toppings included in my drink such as sago and some other mango jelly. Is on the pricier side but quite standard for nyc drinks. Would definitely go back to try their milk teas and pearls! read more
My friend wanted to try this so I went with her. She told me it was recently opened & that it is a very popular franchise from china. Since this place was recently opened, you do expect a line. When I came here yesterday around 4pm-ish, there was a line (more than 20 people) and after ordering you have to wait another 30 minutes for your beverages. Our order number was in the 50,000's. I have never in my entire life seen an order in those numerical digits before. We both ordered the signature grape tea one. I got the one with cheese foam & my friend got the one without it. We were both expecting the drinks to be out if this world, but it was nothing special. The drinks were good but not unique or mind blowing. It kind of reminded me of the fruit slushee drinks I get from JOOY TEA SHOPPE. My drink (grape with cheese foam) tasted like authentic grape slushee with some salty milk cream taste in it. I think this drink is better suitable during warmer temperatures. Drinking this during the winter was not ideal as they only sold cold drinks, no hot beverages. Happy to try it but I do not think it was anything special read more

If I could put at zero I would. Come here for the tea and boba but there is no boba. I can understand it being out but the attitude that come with " Yeah we are OUT". You are not the only shop in town. Manage better ! Do Better with your attitude! read more

My friends have hyped up this place tremendously while I was planning a trip to New York, so naturally the first thing I did after getting out of the airport was to get a Grape Cheezo. The wait time was incredibly long and at some point I realized that the order had already been ready despite the screen saying that it was still in preparation, but I can understand as there were a lot of people inside of the shop at the time. When I tried it, I remembered it being just okay. It was a unique combo and it tasted good, but it wasn't the "created by a higher being" kind of good that my friends made it out to be. I'm assuming I might've came on a bad day or maybe I could've been jet lagged, but I remember feeling a bit let down. Despite this, HeyTea was probably the best boba place I've been to in New York, and I would be willing to give this place another shot if I visit New York again. read more
Got these delivered to the team today. Was excited to try, as I often see long line in front of the store. And I heard this is the only US store. My colleague told me that was very sweet, but I tried it anyway, first sip was ok, and i felt not so sweet, then i continue 2nd and 3rd sip... the sweetness started to hurt my throat, I was barley able to enjoy the mango sago and "jelly" I personally couldn't finish mine after the 3rd sip. And 2 of my other colleagues were only able to finish half of them. Reading the reviews, maybe we could have order lowest sugar level. Overall is a finally got to try experience! To us, it was not worth the hype. read more

HeyTea is a globally renowned boba tea chain with multiple locations across NYC, and we're glad we stumbled upon this spot after finding another location too busy. This location doesn't have any seating, and the space was bustling with a lot of pickup orders ready to go. Ordering was simple thanks to their self-service kiosk, and despite the crowd, the staff worked quickly, and our drinks were prepared in no time. We tried the Mango Slush and Passionfruit Blast. The Mango Slush was a highlight--refreshing and flavorful without being overly sweet. The Passionfruit Blast was also enjoyable, with a nice balance of tart and sweet, though the lime addition made it a bit too sour for our liking--it tasted much better without it. Overall, HeyTea lives up to the hype with its unique and high-quality drinks, and we're excited to explore more of their menu at other locations! read more
I think this is the first US location of a popular bubble tea chain in China. I actually tried their famous grape drink with cheese foam for the first time in China this past winter, which was super refreshing and not too sweet (I always ask for the lowest sugar level). I also liked the jelly-like grape chunks in the drink, which i thought was unique. Prices at the NYC location is around double what it was in China, but that's to be expected. It's roughly on par with comparable fruit drinks in other boba shops in the city (~$8). I got the mango grapefruit sago this time, which was also really good, and I took a sip of my friend's brown sugar boba drink, which was solid (boba was on the larger side but sweet and chewy). I went on a weekend afternoon, and this place is still popular, but the employees are super efficient. We ordered in person rather than through the app, and it seemed like we got our drinks faster than those who ordered online (we maybe waited for 10 minutes). read more

Looks like this place is new. They are staffed well so drinks are made fast. We just happened to be walking by and decided to try it. Menu isn't as big as some places but they had drinks we all wanted to try. My boba light milk tea half sweet was perfect. Boba was warm and chewy. There isn't anywhere to sit and enjoy your drink there. We took our back to our hotel to enjoy. read more

Still open to trying out new drinks on the menu to see if I would just enjoy something else better. # Ambiance Heytea attempts a very modern interior design style that focuses on illumination. There's a lot in place for customer convenience including mobile ordering and a self order kiosk if you prefer to not speak to an employee. # Drink Milk Tea Bobo Shake, Less Sugar, Less ice This was a different take on bubble tea that I hadn't tried yet. It was a little unusual for the tapioca pearls to arrive closer to the end of the drink. The milk tea flavor just didn't come out enough for me. I've tried other drinks here such as the Brown Sugar Bobo Milk Tea and the Strawberry Bloom, but these didn't blow me away either. read more
Wow this place is popular. I came on Sunday night and it was packed with people waiting to order or get their drinks. I saw some people ordering online and picking up to avoid the line which may be a better way to go. I asked the cashier what the most popular drink was and he said the mango grapefruit so I got that with less ice and less sugar. The drink turned out perfectly. It taste like a mix of mango, coconut with some grapefruit pulps on top. There were chewy bits at the bottom that tastes like crystal boba. Overall really enjoyed my drink and I could see why this place is popular. The price was a bit steep though, costing more than $8 for a regular size but that's to be expected for the location. read more
Actually really good! Is it worth the wait? Probably not on the actual line in cold weather, but that's why they have an App! Order ahead of time and wait about 20-30 minutes to pick it up so you don't need to wait on an actual queue. If you need to kill time, Times Square is right there so lots of stores to wander around in. There is also a small queue for the pickup line, but it's quite orderly. See how many drinks they're pumping out at 8pm on a Tuesday night. I ordered the oat milk tea with bubbles and the grape drink. They were both really good, especially the oat milk tea. The bubbles are sweet and soft and the oat milk was the perfect mix. I'm still thinking about it. The grape is also really good even the next day! read more
I pass by here many times and there were always a lot of people inside and outside the place. It has always been very busy and finally I decided to try it. From ordering to picking up I would said it took about 20 mins. The menu is not very large but they still have a good selection of drinks. I was very intrigued by their grape drink. I have always wanted to try grape flavored drink and this is a great place for it. I really like it. It is not overly sweet and there are pieces of grape in the drink. I have also tried cheese foam for the first time. I have ordered the brown sugar boba with cheese foam. The cheese foam made the drink a little more creamier and has a hint of saltiness. Mango is always one of the safe flavors to get. Mango is always good. Overall I did enjoy all the drinks I got. read more
Best fruit tea I've ever had. I'm not even a big fan of fruit teas or slushes, but I I've been converted by HeyTea. The grape and mango coconut drinks were amazing -- so fresh and had the perfect balance of flavors. The texture was also perfect. I was concerned that the coconut one would be too rich, but it surprisingly wasn't. Not sure it's worth a full hour wait, but I would wait maybe 20 minutes. Came here during their opening promotion, so the lines were really long. While they had a lot of staff members, we still waited about an hour to order, then another 40 minutes to receive the order, which is wild considering that it's boba. Overall, I'd say the drinks are very good. I got the Jasmine Cheese, and the flavors of each component were excellent, and when mixed, it was really great. As a beverage, I found it to be really refreshing, fully satisfying my milk tea craving. I definitely plan on coming back, but imo, if the line is longer than 15 minutes, it's not worth the wait. read more
