I would never come back to this restaurant. I've been dining at hibachi restaurants for most of my life as it's one of my favorites, but this... missed the mark in every single way. The clear soup they give with the mushrooms tastes like it was made with dirty water while the salad dressing was almost sickly sweet. I ordered the hibachi filet mignon with shrimp while my husband ordered the hibachi filet with lobster. The filet was actually really good. The shrimps were so overcooked they were crunchy and felt like the tails were still on. The lobster didn't actually even taste like lobster, and since it was cooked with the shrimp mixed in (???) it was also over cooked. I was also very confused as to why there were spaghetti noodles with the rice? I've never seen that before. The rice itself was just kinda ok at best. It also was cooked with frozen bagged vegetables. The ambiance of the restaurants was a little weird. Nothing felt clean. If you order hot tea, it is served in a large styrofoam cup. Our waiter was amazing! Very attentive. I got the Spider Roll and it had lettuce in it which tasted gross. Our Albertsons makes better rolls. My husband had Hibachi steak and he said it was good. The restaurant was nice. We were going to sit at one of the chef tables but there was a very loud and obnoxious customer over there so we chose a table. My husband and I just finished our meal here. We ordered the hibachi chicken dinner and the teriyaki chicken dinner. We did not, however, sit on the grill side of the restaurant. There was no wait on the dining side and a 45 minute wait on the grill side. Mariela was our server. She was kind and attentive, though a bit flustered from her workload I am assuming. There was a man there who seemed to be management or perhaps the owner. He was speaking rudely to all the servers right in front of the customers. Mariela gets 5 stars, that man gets none. The food was just okay. The chicken was dry in both dishes, but the vegetables were delicious with the right amount of crisp. The food aas about 3 stars. I wouldn't come here expecting to be blown away with the entrees; maybe try the sushi. The forks provided were heavy good quality forks. Every place has its own differences that set them apart from their competitors. Hibachi One doesn't sell itself short. The prices are about average for the field. Sammy our chef made it worth every dollar! He put on an excellent show as he cooked our food to our desired liking. You can tell he loves what he does. Our server was also on top of it. He kept checking in on us and made sure we never had an empty glass and were satisfied. My dad and I chose to get the steak. Our steak was cooked perfectly! The rice and noodles were seasoned nicely. the veggies were cut in bigger pieces that I was initially expecting but they were delicious as well. The amount of food on our plate was decently portioned and worth every dollar. The restaurant itself was very clean, and neatly decorated. The indoor koi pond was such a beautiful site! The bar was fairly decent sized. I saw mainly wine but I didn't get a chance to see if they offered beer. So sitting at the grill can make experiences vary a lot because the experience is very dependent on the cook and the atmosphere he/she creates. Our cook was TY, he was funny, kept conversations flowing, and best of all made our food just the way we wanted it. He even asked how we liked it seasoned! My husband and I got the combination plate with steak and chicken (shared) the plate with both meats is $23 +$6 for sharing but this means each person gets a full servings of soup,salad, rice, and everything else. Ty asked each of us how we liked our food cooked (spicy, hot, sweet & sour, creamy, etc). No one had ever asked us that or prepared the meats differently to suit each person taste buds! My food came out delicious as did everyone else's. I got a margarita, and was told it wasn't made with TEQUILA! NO TEQUILA IN MY MARGARITA! Instead it was a really good mix of agave, sake, and vodka for $4.50. My only issue was my California sushi roll... I was kind of sad it wasn't as good, kind of bland and eehhhh. It was overcooked to the point where I didn't know if it was chicken or fish until I tasted it. The sauce it had was...odd. It had a strange taste and bad aftertaste. I only ate one bite. She was so friendly, kind, helpful, + had great customer service skills. She informed us of their Tuesday + Thursday's specials which was 2 specialty rolls for $22 + we were all for it! We started off with edamame which we were able to get for free thanks to Yelp (YAY!). We each got two rolls which we were all able to try from one another. Oh. My. GODDDD. The sushi rolls were exquisite! I ordered the fantastic + angel wings based off of reviews from Yelp + I was not disappointed. The manager tried to fight us that she didn't have it but we turned the alarm on and asked her to go in the back and listen for it. I've eaten at a fair number of Tepanaki places, and this one is just ok, but not bad. My wife and I both ordered steak, and asked it to be between rare and medium rare. She had the house steak, which is a New York cut. I had the Filet. The Filet was definitely better quality; much better tasting. Both were a little over cooked (my wife though her's was a lot over cooked). The chef put on a nice show, as you would expect. He only cooked one course at a time, which, to me, is a sign of an inexperienced chef. One wants all the food at the same time, as much as possible. He was asking questions about food prep to each patron as he was cooking, which slowed him down. A good chef get's all that info before cooking, then goes for it! They served both noodles and rice, which I thought was overkill. I would have rather skipped the noodles, and had the rice, meat and vegies done closer together. Price-wise, very affordable. I also had a Tamago (egg omelete). The waiter didn't know what a Tamago was (not a good sign), but it was still good. Not as sweet as I would like (just by a tad), but the pair was only $3, so not bad. We didn't have any other sushi, but we did share a flight of Saki. Nice fruit flavors. Fun. We found this place because we were looking for a restaurant that was open late on a Sunday. It's tucked in, behind some of the businesses on Coors, not too visible from the road. Once you get in it's nicely decorated, a cute little bridge over a coy pond, a sprawling dining area with hibachi tables and a nice little bar. We sat in nice, high-backed chairs and space around the hibachi table was good - enough room for everyone. The salad and miso is always a nice touch and as the chef got in he went over our orders and made sure he was clear on every detail. I Went last night (8/18/18), saw two guests causing a disturbance, yelling at the staff and throwing food from one end of the room to the other. All over Saki Bombs coming out late?
