A lovely celebration at Hidden Mountain. We enjoyed their patio in the late afternoon on a Saturday. It was quiet, but the service was attentive and we all enjoyed our food. It would be nice to see a few more options on the kids menu, since at the moment it's just typical American food. My Daughter had the burger which came as two small sliders with fries. For us, new brew pub in Santa Fe. Beginning of pub crawl. The IPAs are damn good. She had seasonal Snow Visibility and I had the house Road Runner. Her hazy was better IPA than my citricity IPA. Ordered the Chips, Salsa, Guacamole, Queso Trio...Eh. Wasn't bad, but wasn't homemade as advertised either. In looking around at food delivered to other tables, looks like Elote the thing to get. Also have great specials - Taco Tuesday (10 tacos for $25) & Pint Wednesday (@ $4 each). If this place was located anywhere else besides Santa Fe, we would likely be back. This was close on the south side of Santa Fe and I had lunch with a friend. I ordered fish and chips and was really disappointed in the spindly little strips of fish. The flavor was good and the quality too, but they were just not satisfying. The fish was so skinny it could barely flake. The trio of appetizers was good but its kind of hard to mess up queso, guac, and salsa. I don't know how my companions food was but I think she liked it. This is a great space and the bar area looked fun to watch sports games in. I would go back if someone else really wanted to go, but would probably try talking them into somewhere else first. read more

Came here with high hopes after seeing all the social media postings about this place. I would not call this a true brewery as they took over for a restaurant that went out of business. The food was fair. The chile was fair. Not hot at all. I think this place is probably best for tourists but those of us from New Mexico might be better off just grabbing a beer. The food looked good on postings from social media but again, very bland food. We were never given silverware I had to grab some from another table and the hostess was not friendly at all. I think the place is actually very nice. It is in the location that blue corn used to be, but they upgraded the inside. It is on the loud side, so if you are looking to just relax have some good food be aware that there is a lot of noise. You can make reservations for large groups, I was surprised about that. Staff is friendly and attentive to your needs another plus. They do seem busy and forget you but in time they do come back to take care of your needs The tacos el pastor are excellent. I must say the presentation of the food was superb and the sauces that come along with the dish made the day When you look at the menu there are a lot of items, I think I want to try them all, so I'll be back. If the rest of the food is as good as the pastor it will be worth it I do have one issue, the guacamole and chips, while good and enough guacamole there was no spice to it. Maybe that's the norm or I had what I call a tourist batch. Could you a little heat in the guacamole or put some salsa on the side. We went to Hidden Mountain Brewing after traveling 8 hours on a road trip, and got real hungry. The dining was not busy at 7:45 on a Friday night and we got seated right away. We both ordered Frito Pies, red chile. We also order margaritas, which at $14.00 was still pretty expensive, but good. The Frito Pies were pretty goodm considering we hadn't had New Mexico chile in months. I also tried their Rosa Mexicana Margarita. Sugar instead of salt on rim. Not good. So we ordered the Happy Hour chicken quesadilla and were told that the Happy Hour Chicken Quesadilla doesn't include chicken and if we wanted chicken it would be $5 extra. Blue corn is rebranding and it's not for the better. Don't ask for chips and salsa because it's not on a the menu and it's probably for a good reason. We ask for some salsa with our queso and the salsa was just chili pounder with chopped up onions. My half chick was probably the best dish. My friend got a very basic salad. I haven't written a Yelp review in several years, but sometimes you eat at a place that overwhelmingly deserves credit for doing their best. Sadly, this is not one of those restaurants. Created by Santa Fe Dining as a replacement to the mediocre demise of the local Blue Corn restaurant chain (They had two locations, but both closed several years ago due to waning tourist approval of the food). And in this town, when the tourists won't eat there, the restaurant usually closes, and that also means that the locals probably stopped frequenting the establishment a couple years earlier. My fiance had a mediocre torta with fries. It looked like a hotdog sandwich on a torta bun. I had a frito pie thinking, "nobody can mess up a frito pie in this town". Boy was I wrong. I ordered it with red chile because that usually means you get the earthy taste of the red, but in this case, I couldn't taste any red chile at all, the diced onions were poorly prepared so my second bite had a massive piece of white onion that was a little rude (and I like onions). And the prices? If you want a mediocre airplane bar mixed drink for $14, most airports have better drinks. And the prices were super out of control. We have a regional dish that most of the New Mexican restaurants serve made of hominy called posole stew. It's wuper easy to make and can be amazing for an $8 bowl. Hidden Mountain sells the dish for $12 a cup. TWELVE DOLLARS FOR A CUP OF HOMINY! Astonishing. You really don't want to eat at this restaurant when there are scores of better restaurants within a five minute drive. The one kudo I have for this restaurant is that the few staff we came in contact with were super nice to us, probably because we were one of only three tables anyone was sitting at, and this was during your typical happy hour time-frame, in a central area of town. After we ate, I thought back to the menu that Blue Corn used to have and it *LOOKS* like they just recycled that menu (which is not a good thing), and used it again. I felt sorry for the employees who work there because they can't be able to pay their rent off the tips and the amount of people who frequent the establishment, if there are any. read more

A small quesadilla is $12 during happy hour, and it is super thin and barely covers the inner part of a plate. The fish and chips are $19 and are very small. Have not been to this restaurant/brewery since covid and change of name. It's located on the south side of Santa fe, a working class neighborhood. I found the food menu similar to prices that you would find in the tourist sections of Santa fe. The enchilada was mediocre. I ordered their IPA which had earned a gold medal in the past but it tasted stale. The waitress was unfamiliar with menu items. Unfortunately I will not be returning. This was our first time visiting this new brewery. It was a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere. A baby was screaming - something that seems to be happening everywhere these days - and the waiter was very cheerful and accommodating in finding us a place as far away from it as possible. In fact, we couldn't even hear it anymore, except for the occasional faint shriek that I assumed might have burst our eardrums had we not been moved. :) So obviously the brewery is family-friendly! We both had the brewery's own brown ale and really enjoyed it. We ordered New Mexican dishes: a cheese enchilada and a Frito pie. The dishes arrived quickly and were delicious and filling. We ended the meal with a dessert - churros - and were honestly kind of blown away. These were churros like I've never had before - and beautifully plated - and later at home I was still thinking about the wonderful flavors as I drifted off into a contented sleep. But I can't end this review without noting how very kind, pleasant, and wonderful our waiter was. Everything he did was very timely and efficient, yet he never made us feel rushed at all. The service from the waiter was fantastic and he checked up regularly and always offered to grab us more beers or top off waters.
