I went there both Friday and Saturday night. It was so much fun we decided to go back. The drinks are cheap, there is smoke in the place which really didn't bother the group I went with since we smoke. Karaoke was good. Good list of songs. I would def. go back to this place. Note: I left my brown hoodie there on sat night and when my girlfriend went back Monday to see if it was there, it wasn't. I'm not too happy about that. This is the coolest bar in Rancho! I've been coming here for years and never had a problem. I have found it a blast EVERY time I go! Bathrooms are always clean, bar top is always clean, bartenders are friendly, though I sorely miss the bartenders Holly and Melissa. As a regular, I find it great to see familiar faces and new ones that come in. Its a melting pot of people here from all walks of life, nationalities and ages! This is a great little spot. I can't figure out why they call it a karaoke bar though when they never have karaoke. I even went out of my way to check out their advertised Saturday karaoke that wasn't there. Affordable drinks and chill atmosphere though none the less. Good joint. I love this bar!!!!.... now. This bar is about a mile away from my house. When I first started coming here, it was questionable. The bartender that used to work here was so rude. The first time I tipped her $15 on two beers and one shot to possibly change her attitude. Her attitude continued... Thank God she is no longer here. The new girl, Denise, is attentive and friendly. So the reason why we where asked to leave is because we are bikers that are in the upper age of 50 and we where told up we couldn't be in there because we had a vest on . and too top that off i dont drink alcohol and one other member is sober also . we stick too ourselves my friends where there long before i got there and they yes they do drink . they spent there money and they where having a good time .and just so you know . bikers dont look for trubble . 9 times out of 10 its a regular civilian that causes trouble we avoid it . this is a clear sign of discrimination based on how you look . if I walked in there with plain clothes would that change who i am i am a biker and i love my life this is discrimination at its best this is not a kool bar dont get kicked out because your wearing the wrong team color read more

This place is what it is, a dive bar, hole in the wall place. We came in on the weekend, not very busy, found a spot right up at the bar. Clean bathrooms and comfy bar stools. It was karaoke night and it seemed a bit odd at first but we got into it. The drinks were a great price and the service was spot on from Taryn. Great dark, cozy bar. Great stiff pours, ice-cold bottled beers. Husband and I felt at home on first visit. Go Monday thru Friday till 6pm. That's when Shawn Noel works. She's the best bartender in RC! Amusing, entertaining, remembers what you drink but will ask you first. I currently go in by myself as husband is working. I feel very secure and all the fellow patrons are affable. I go in to play lottery hot spot and sip beer. Best dive bar in the area. I usually stop by after work to unwind. Coral is one of the friendliest bartenders that I've ever run into, she knows when I want to talk and she knows when to leave me alone. The other patrons are all pretty cool and for a dive bar, it's exceptionally clean. Overall, I think the name of the bar is well suited, it's become my favorite refuge from the real world. It's time for my annual review of my very favorite local business. This is probably my favorite dive bar of all time. Sure, I've been to trendier establishments but this place truly captures the very essence of a dive bar. It's dark, dingy but it's clean. The juke box is too loud but the variety of music that comes out of it is eclectic. Went here on a Football Sunday to have some cocktails, watch the play off games and listen to some music. We infrequently go to dive bars but usually enjoy them when we do. My friends and I were prepared to have a big tab and tip very well (as we always do for good service, being we have been in the service industry and liquor industry) but the bartender there was a complete bitch to us. Not only did she ignore us but she made it very clear we were not welcome, she was catering to her regulars and never glanced our way. It was in no means busy. (We know why now!) I guess you have to be a regular at this establishment to get good friendly service. Went to Hide A While last night, which was a friday, and in short I had a blast! Now when we first got there the girls that were in our group were like "No Way!" They were kind of turned off by the fact that it wasn't McAlans. (which is one of the things I love about this place) Once they realized how nice it is to be at a bar and not worry about hooking up, they had a blast too. I went to hide a while for karaoke last night and it was so fun! The song selection is up to date and includes every artist from every decade and genre. The karaoke system is one of the best I've ever used. It isn't so loud that it overpowers the singer like I've experienced at other places. The bartender and karaoke emcee were both very nice and brought the party. The crowd was very diverse: all ages and ethnicities mingling and getting to know one another. I have been going to "the hide" for 10 years now...my husband has been going for 20 yrs, as have his parents. We go for karaoke and have met many of our now good friends there. We recently moved to San bernardino and still drive 20 miles just to see Karen, malyssa and Kelly! We love the people!! Unfortunately, management had a "wonderful" (not) idea that karaoke was not ok on Fridays!!! Are u kidding me?! Wow how much money have YoU lost??? Crazy. I know at least 15 people that go here on a regular basis and NONE of us will b going on Fridays unless u bring karaoke back! If I want to llisten to music or a band I'll go to mc Allan's. Guess I'll be finding a place for karaoke somewhere else. I'll be taking my cowboy Troy great singing husband and myself and all my friend elsewhere on Fridays. I'm 28 years old and I grew up in the Upland/Rancho area and had never heard of this place until last Friday. My friends assured me it was one of the friendliest bars I would ever go to. I was hesitant but agreed to come. The drinks were fairly priced, I ordered a couple of long island iced teas for about 5 bucks a pop, and they were mixed well and strong. Strong enough to where I had the courage to do a karaoke song for the first time in years. And then I did another karaoke song and then another karaoke song. The whole bar took a liking to me and I took a liking to the whole bar. This was Friday night and it wasn't overcrowded like other bars in Rancho Cucamonga, the bartenders were able to get to me quickly. Just an all around good bar. I'll definitely be back. read more
