We dined here recently for lunch. Since it was lunch, we went with some hot ham sandwiches, a gluten-free pizza, and just a beginner salad. Service was good BUT the diner ordering the gluten free pizza....She specifically asked if any of the pizzas could be made gluten free and was told yes. So, she ordered. What came out was a regular looking pizza and as soon as she took a bite, she said, "This is too good to be gluten free." Alas, it was. We waved down another server and asked him to check the order. They reordered and another pizza was delivered. (We were not charged for the first pizza and we did receive a $4 discount.) On to the food. I used to love getting the ham and cheese sandwiches and dipping them in the Italian dressing. Either my perception has changed or the sandwiches (and the dressing) has changed. I don't know that I even knew this Hideaway Pizza location was there. I met up with a friend who was in town from New York City for Christmas because she loves their Margherita pizza. I've seen it on the menu but never ordered it because they have so many other specialty pizzas that I like. It was delicious! I will definitely order it again. My husband and I like coming here about once every 2 months. We get wings and share a pizza 1/2 what I like and 1/2 big country for him w/o pepperonis. Food is always fresh and hot. Always great service and polite staff. We like to play the chive trivia there on our phones it is on the tv over the bar. We play against each other of course he wins most of the time. It's been a while since we've eaten here. We met some friends for pizza and drinks. We sure enjoyed the Happy Hour. Not many places give you half price in ALL drinks. They tend to just take a dollar or two off drinks or offer "signature" cocktails that are not made with premium liquor. We ordered Tanqueray and tonics. They were half price. The pizza was delicious, the atmosphere was fun, the drinks were delicious and cheap, the service was excellent, and the company with our good friends was off the charts. We had a magnificent time. Disappointed by the Small Details That Matter I recently picked up a to-go order from Hideaway Pizza consisting of a large pepperoni pizza, a small sausage pizza, fried mushrooms, and a side salad. The total came to $50, which I don't mind paying for quality food--however, I was pretty disappointed by the lack of attention to detail when it came to my order. At the time of placing my order, I specifically requested extra dressing for the salad and extra ranch for the fried mushrooms. It may seem like a small thing, but as they say, the devil is in the details. When you're spending $50 on pizza, you expect the place you're ordering from to accommodate simple requests without issue. Unfortunately, my order was missing the extra dressings I requested, and honestly, it's frustrating to feel like you're dealing with the "condiment police." If a restaurant is worried about losing money over a little extra dressing, it might be time to reevaluate their priorities. The food itself was good, but experiences like this leave a sour taste. A little generosity and attention to customer requests go a long way in creating loyal patrons. On a Saturday night we ordered a large Pepperonipalooza, 12 pieces Buffalo style wings, and small salad with a side of ranch. The order took approximately 20 minutes, Noah who took the order was friendly and helpful. Picking up the pizza was easy and expeditious. The pizza was full of pepperoni, flavorful, and the hand tossed crust was delicious! Buffalo wings had a great flavor (surprisingly the wings weren't 'crispy' per se but really tasty) and the salad perfect size. We really enjoyed the food!! We were seated very quickly, we had drink and appetizers ordered almost immediately after sitting down, and then our salads and pizza. Maggie did an excellent job providing service and follow up. I really hate to downrate a place that I like. The last half a year of ordering here the issue is that I always come in earlier than the 15 min or 20 min quote for my pick up to be ready and my order is always waiting for me behind the cashier. Good right ? Not really because the pizza is always undercooked and luke warm when I get it home just a couple blocks away. When you cook a pizza at high heat the toppings flavors will blend and it is a magically better tasting pizza. I know electric is an issue when it comes to oven because I come from a family that owned a pizza restaurant in Brooklyn, NY. But having to slide a slice into an oven when I get home does not cut it for a $35 order. I also ordered a 2 liter soda that was room temperature and not from a cooler. FOOD : I loved that you could customize your pizza in so many ways. They made it really easy to order exactly what you want the way you want it, which is always nice! I also liked how they offer a variety for different preferences or allergens, they had gluten free crusts and cauliflower crusts which was great! I personally got a small gluten free build your own pizza with a bunch of veggies and chicken on top and the garlic and olive oil "sauce." The pizza was to be expected, honestly. It wasn't a "luxury" pizza with super fresh ingredients, just kind of more on the average side. The cheese was probably the part that threw me the most.. it was pretty nast. tasted like gum.. bleh. The chicken was also kinda rubbery, which is a quick turnoff for me. Everyone else seemed to really like their pizzas but were also in the same mindset - that they didn't have high expectations so they weren't either let down or thoroughly impressed. I will say the crust was pretty good! SERVICE / ATMOSPHERE : Our waitress was awesome! She was super sweet, helpful, and kind. I loved how prompt she was and always ready to wait on the table. We mostly frequently go to the OKC locations... But work had me nearby and was in the area of the hotel. Hideaway did a great job for dinner.. Isabella was our server and did a Super job. Drinks were kept on full. Our order came out accurate/hot/fresh and tasty!!! My beer was ice cold. She checked on us as needed. Hideaways pizza is good but it's not great! They splatter all their expensive toppings in the middle because they are too lazy to spread them over all the pizza 90% of the time. Since they raised their prices, I lowered my standard and now I eat a lettuce wedge cause they can't get their pizzas right. I gave up because when all of the toppings are in the middle, you end up with a greasy middle. I have called after I order online EVERYTIME and they still don't do it. I even gave a 20% tip. But no more! No hideaways for me anymore because management needs to train employees in "EFFECTIVE LISTENING SKILLS" and customer service skills. read more

Hideaway near 61st and Yale is our go to favorite pizza restaurant. The best time for us is Monday - Friday, late afternoon, during happy hour. The pizza is always top notch. The restaurant can get noisy at times with happy kids. The prices are high but it's worth it. I like to tease their young door greeters with the question "What year did Hideaway begin?" When they don't know I like to point to the prominent sign on the door right next to where they are standing. read more

I've been a loyal customer for a number of years. I've always enjoyed all the items on their menu. The problem isn't with the food, it is with the service. They used to have some intelligent young women who took the to go orders. THEY WERE GREAT - WHAT HAPPENED?? BRING THEM BACK! For some reason they now have a young male who seems incapable of entering any order into their systems correctly. He has absolutely no people skills whatsoever, zero, zilch, nada. After he screws up the order, he then runs to the store manager and complains about the customer. I have a high tolerance level for incompetency and rudeness and most of the time I chalk it up to the staff having a bad day. They have a delicious Ceasar with the right amount of dressing. Of course their pizzas are fantastic. My go-to is The Hurricane with the Veggie Combo a close second. They make their own marinara (red sauce). It is delicious as an app dip as well as a pizza base. The service is spot-on. They are prompt with the food and drink refills. It came with side choices of chips, coleslaw, or salad; I chose the coleslaw. It also came with a pickle spear. The coleslaw was creamy, with a pretty decent flavor. It wasn't the best coleslaw I've ever had, but it was pretty good. The pickle was a pickle. I like pickles. The bad news is the sandwich, even with the ranch and added hot sauce I had in my refrigerator, was very bland. Ever since I moved to Tulsa Oklahoma, from California, I haven't wanted any other kind of pizza, but Hideaways. The choices and variety of toppings are awesome! They're always so nice to me and my family whenever we come in for dining or takeout. They deserve more pay for what they do, but I found out that servers only make $2.13/ hourly, which they never see a paycheck, so TIPS are what they work for. A 20% tip is not enough these days, but it's the new bare minimum. Never forget to tip your servers and bartenders. read more

I took some time to think about how I was gonna write this review and I've come to the conclusion that I'm just gonna make this short and sweet. I got the pleasure of hanging out with Michelle and her husband Travis tonight and they had already made plans earlier to order pizza from Hideaway for dinner. A quick call to the restaurant, 20-25 minutes later and a quick drive to the restaurant for pick up led us to an awesome dinner consisting of fried mushrooms, (ranch and marinara dipping sauces) a Cobb salad with grilled chicken, a medium sooner schooner pizza and an oreo brownie. It's been a while since I've had anything from Hideaway and let me say.....they still deliver the goods!!! Everything was amazing!!! With all the pizza places out here in Tulsa Hideaway STILL has and will always have my vote. read more
