Smoked brisket, turkey, sausage and barbacoa
    Gabby A.

My family and I were visiting San Antonio and stumbled upon this new spot! We were a little hesitant due to the lack of reviews here on Yelp, but decided to give it a try and boy, were we glad that we did! This establishment deserves way more higher ratings! The entire feel of this place was very inviting and trendy. The bar service was exceptional, and the kind guy working the food truck patiently took our big parties order and was helpful in making recommendations. The food was simply delicious. The smoked brisket was definitely the star of the show and surprisingly enough, the turkey was a close runner up. I will have to say that the coleslaw could use a little work, but I definitely don't want that to overthrow just how good the rest of the meal was. my party and I ordered beers to pair with our food and the pricing was fair in my opinion. This is such a cool spot to hang out with a group or even a smaller party. There are plenty of big tv screens and picnic tables in the dining area outside, all equipped with heaters and fans. This is the perfect spot for any sports enthusiasts or good ol barbecue lover! Would highly recommend giving it a try!

Not the spot for BBQ. very limited indoor seating, and way too hot to enjoy anything outside.

Beer, wine and pizza...what's not to love about The Growler Exchange?…read more For those of you who have never been to this amazing business before, The Growler Exchange is a tap room and restaurant which carries a huge variety of unique beers, as well as some of the most delicious pizza you've ever had in your life. I've been a regular at this restaurant for 5 years and I can tell you that quality has stayed the same throughout the years. I also appreciate that they now have a bigger variety of wines and you can also buy beer and wine to-go. If you are looking to try their amazing pizza, their most popular pie (and my husband's favorite) is their Mike's Special which is a red sauce pizza with mozzarella, pepperoni, bacon and topped with honey drizzle. However, if you prefer something spicy (like I do), I highly recommend their Spicy Meat Sweats which is also a red sauce pizza with mozzarella, garlic sausage, pepperoni, salami, bacon and topped with some very spicy chili oil. Hope everyone gets to try this amazing local business, and don't forget to bring your growler with you! PSA for the parents: They do welcome kids, and they even have a changing station in the women's bathroom.

The ranch doesn't really taste like ranch I didn't like it at all The southern fried wings looked large to me... I thought they do not serve those anymore, they were definitely refried I didn't even finish them. I kind of enjoyed the green gawd ones. Still overwhelming flavor. You can also order food from Make Ready food hall and eat there which is pretty amazing. They have some snacks you can order as well and once I went when they had a taco vendor as a pop up. So cute! Family friendly and they have a large outdoor space where kids can run around. They do have a cut off time when they become 21 and up. Parking is either on the street or a surface lot close by.

The mural at the front and the menu branding is really cute! There's lots of TVs and comfortable seating throughout. I could see this being a great meeting spot for a small group to host a private party. There's even a few modern slot machines near the front. We came on a Monday afternoon, so we didn't try any drinks. The wings and food is apparently supplied by Gold Feather, (a chicken chain with a location by North Star). Unfortunately, the food was the worst part. The side of fries is super small for $5. We got a chicken tender basket with the jalapeño ranch rub and it was sooooo salty! It had a nice kick to it, but was unbearable to eat in the salt. We also ordered fried pickles, which had such a light batter it was falling off the pickle. It seemed like it was fried after the chicken so it was also pretty salty. The servers seemed really nice here, but someone didn't prep the food quite right. The chicken was also pretty dry. I feel bad the food wasn't good cause otherwise it's be a really fun spot! I think we'd still come back to watch a game, shoot some pool and have a drink or two.

Food was all good and a reasonable value for the venue. I'd get the burger and nachos again.
