    Wings and Mac
    Jeremy L.

I came in to check out the newly revamped menu and was initially seated toward the back of the restaurant. The area was pretty dark and mostly empty, so since I was dining alone, I moved to the bar instead. The waitress suggested starting with an appetizer, and I went with the Pesto Burrata ($13). After that, my eyes immediately landed on the wings and the mac & cheese, so I ordered the Game Day Combo -- 1 lb of wings with the original mac & cheese, plus fries, veggie sticks, and ranch. I asked the chef which sauce he recommended, and he suggested the honey sriracha. At $26, I was expecting excellence. Overall, the portions felt excessive. I'd much rather see smaller portions at a lower price -- less food with a stronger focus on quality and value. That said, the burrata dish was on point: quality ingredients, simply executed. There was a bit too much flatbread, but otherwise the portion was spot-on. As for the wings, everything tasted good, but the plate felt overloaded. When you already have a large serving of mac & cheese with wings, the fries feel unnecessary. The dish would have been stronger with no fries, less mac & cheese, and a lower price point -- something closer to $18. At $26, it just feels a bit high for what it is. I may come back to try other menu items and I have to say overall the quality and service were exceptional.

4.5 stars Came here during their closing weekend, as I had always wanted to try this place for the "best mac n'cheese" in town. The location is in an interesting spot and parking was a little tight. I liked the ambiance of the place and open kitchen concept. Staff was helpful and I had placed an order to go that night (which took a little while). I got the regular mac n'cheese ($8.95 and figuring I could save a little bit and add extra toppings of my own later). I also got the pumpkin cobble cake ($14.95), which wasn't quite like I had seen with last year's (with the biscochito crust and the red chile whipped cream). Everything came out hot and delicious. The cake came with a side of ice cream with granola on top. The mac n'cheese while creamy and gooey (and enough for about 3 lunches), I would say it was good, but probably not my #1 choice in town. I'm glad that they are able to reopen under different terms soon.

The green chile Mac and cheese here is really good. I placed an order finally after hearing all the hype. I'd love to come back and try some other Items soon!

When I say WOW, I mean WOOOOOWWW! I went with high expectations and I was absolutely not disappointed! We got there and parking is a bit cramped due to the location, but we were still able to find an open spot. Going inside it is much larger than it looks from the outside. We were sat quickly. And our waitress came over to check on us and take our orders right away. She was very friendly and quick to come when she saw we were ready, but not overly attentive to make us feel rushed. We ordered wings to share, which were the best wings I've had! They were crisp, but not greasy. They were not overly seasoned but a good balance. They were a great size. And man they were delicious! Had also heard amazing things about their burgers. We also ordered a sunrise burger to share and it also was delicious. The meat was fresh and quality tasting. The patty was thick and well seasoned. The bun was toasted perfectly. Best burger! Craving another as I type this! Can't wait to return to try a different flavor of wings as well!

Stopped in for lunch after a little walk. We were seated quickly and got waited pretty fast. My wife had the regular burger with garlic fries and I had the burger that comes with jalapeños. They were both delicious and the fries were very tasty. This will definitely be my go to spot for burgers.

Fantastic grilled burgers, great staff, very helpful and kind, this is a great spot for family and friends to hang out and enjoy each other's company. Small menus done right! This place has what everyone wants, drinks, pizza, tacos and burgers, along with some other great options! We were impressed with the quality of the food, I would personally consider the burgers gourmet, grilled perfection!

    High Point Mac & Cheese

High point is so bomb it's incredible. I've gone too many times to count and it has never faltered. The Mac is top tier, but I gotta say they have the best Philly cheese ever. If you are a simpleton who enjoys cheese whiz, this isn't for you. This is elevated- garlicky and toasted. The other standout is the garlic fries, top notch fr. The staff is excellent, and another perk is their water/ soda cups are huge so you don't have to keep asking for refills. Mr. White you are a visionary.

    Carne asada tacos with chips

In Albuquerque and I was encouaged by friends to try High Point Grill for lunch. The reviews stated it was good Italian, Cajun / Creole and sandwiches. We ordered the shrimp po-boy sandwich and carne asada tacos with chips and salsa. The restaurant was fairly busy for the lunch crowd. The shrimp po-boys was packed with little room for all the ingredients and five jumbo shrimp. I would have to say it resembled more of a de- constructed sandwich than a traditional sandwich that was "dressed". It definitely could of used more sauce as it was very dry. The carne asada tacos were good but the stale chips were disappointing. The wait staff was missing in action after the meals were delivered and took 20 minutes to get us the check after she was given the credit card. I will not be returning as I found no effort to make the meal memorable. The food was adequate andservice was poor. High Point needs to focus on their food, service and taking care of the patrons that frequent their establishment.

The food was delicious with great flavor and shareable portions. The staff was friendly, though service could be a bit quicker. The family-friendly ambience was nice, but the space felt a little dark. A helpful tip: ask for condiments with your meal, otherwise you may be waiting a while

Our reservations needed at this place say like on a Thursday night or is it just wide-open? Also is…

Reservations aren't needed, but making them doesn't hurt, especially around holidays. The place isn't usually noisy or rowdy, and I think it would be a nice place for date.

He walked away as I approached the counter. I was confused as I wasn't aware I had to order on the tablet on the counter. When I began using the tablet I was in search of the new mushroom burger they sent me an email yesterday about. Of course you know it's what I wanted to try. Sadly it wasn't on the menu on the tablet. When I called the employee for help I basically got the vibe he didn't want to be there and he was hesitant to approach. When he did come to the counter I asked about the burger even showed him the email to get told it's not out yet and it was coming soon. I found myself wondering why I even got the email if this was true. Needless to say the food came out really fast. I thought well that's good at least. The presentation was better than the experience. The cheese on the queso fries was pretty skimpy. There were way more fries than cheese which was disappointing. The burger I wasn't a fan of either. It needed more cheese and the stackers sauce tasted strange like it a chipotle sauce it wasn't the same as I recalled. I'm sad to say this is the second location I've had a bad experience with. It's really disappointing because I really loved this place. I guess I'll have to stick to the central food hall because so far that's the only location that hasn't disappointed me like this yet.

I peruse the menu, another customer drops their shake. Gonna be longer. That's fine, go help them. "No, I can take your order REALLY FAST." Well, I was looking at the menu, but cool to be rushed. I remember when the young lady that used to work there was at the counter. 6-8 people in line, greeted with a smile and Hi! Welcome in! There was a longer wait, but it was ok, because the service was good, and so was the food. Today? I'll never return. I spent over $15.00 including a credit card surcharge (a business owner that wants to take credit cards but can't be bothered to be a business owner and pay their bills.) I left a $5 cash tip - I figured I'd the business owner can't pay the 3% on a bad merchant account, they most likely aren't paying the staff livable wages... I sat down and put my gear down, and waited... for about 15 minutes, before this garbage salad that was falsely advertised as having toppings and 3 sliced chick'n strips. The entire salad didn't fill the bowl.? On the bottom were less than a teaspoon of diced tomatoes. In the entire salad there was ONE "fried onion." The lettuce was chopped like slop, there was barely enough chick'n to call it 1.5 slices. Absolute trash. For 15$ I ate my salad, listening as Morticia Addams' understudy pleasantly said good bye, have a nice day, et cetera to the customers who were leaving. I got up, threw my trash, walked out. Silence: The whole time I was in there, a cheap speaker was streaming some crappy 90s "radio friendly hip hop." When my salad was brought to me, even after explaining it's very hard to eat, or carry , a salad on a motorcycle, it arrived in a to-go/carry out, lid is RIGHT THERE,.Morticia helpfully pointed it out, a subtle hint that I wasn't a welcome guest. As I was gearing up to get on my motorcycle out comes our antagonist. Not to be polite or anything. To smoke or vape. I didn't stick around to smell which one she was doing in the doorway. I get it, lucky goose doesn't want my money. They've made it abundantly clear. That's fine. I'll go to Steelbender, where they have vegan options, and like that customers come on to give them money. I accidentally posted this review to the uptown location. I've never been, and will never be, to that location. This review was the knob hill location.

She also seemed very distracted and did not have good recall when we were putting in our orders. She came back several times to ask what our drink orders were before finally bringing over the tablet to enter in the information right in front of us. Secondly, our food took forever to come. This also happened the first time we came to eat at social house a year ago, but it felt more pronounced this time. And the restaurant was not full. Probably a third full of patrons? We were seated at 6:45 and our food did not arrive until 830. Quite the wait if you ask me. Finally, the kitchen was having some sort of smoke issue. If you've never been in an establishment where the grease smell and smoke is visibly accumulating in the air, you know it's quite distracting from a dining experience. It was so smoky inside. I actually caught myself blinking my eyes to see if it was just my vision being blurry or if it was the room. Our food was fine, the pork belly was a standout. Otherwise, I'm not sure I need to come here again. I wish that they would get a better handle on service timing, because that seems to be an ongoing issue.

I'll ask for that next time! It was the bomb. Hummus duo was good the watermelon radish was beautiful on the plate but gave both hummus a bitter flavor. Shrimp and grits. We live in Alabama currently and this was our least favorite dish of the day. Shrimp were cooked well and so were the grits but there was just something else it needed. Parmesan cheese and some onions maybe. Greek salad delicious. The flash fried chick peas made it. We needed more dressing and the wait staff was prompt and sweet about it. Spicy Lime Ceasar was ok till he requested more dressing then it was amazing. I was afraid of ordering it but the dressing wasn't too spicy .
