It was fun seeing these excited tourists having a great time enjoying the Coronado sights and foods. The menu had different kinds of pizza and my friend and I got a few slices: couple of veggie, mushroom sausage and all cheese. You order pay, take a number and sit anywhere, the nice and friendly staff will bring your food out to you. These thin pizza slices were not the best but good and my friend like the mushroom sausage and cheese. Really hard to beat the deal here for HH and also lots of great people watching! I was in Coronado for the SD Writers Festival and was hungry after the event and pizza was calling my name. I fired up the good ol' trusted Yelp app and this place popped up and they have a nice HH deal even on the weekend. I stopped in around 5:20pm and had a slice of sausage and mushroom and an Orange Wit beer. Both items came to $9, which is a sweet deal here in SD. You take a number and wait for your food. I snagged a table right outside on the sidewalk and had a prime people watching spot, sweet! A young woman brought me my slice and then noticed I also didnt have my beer and fetched it for me. As our family took our trek towards our bus we had about 1 hour and 30 mins to spare to get our food and head over to the shuttle back to the hotel. We figured that this was enough time to get 7 slices of pizza and eat before catching the shuttle. A total of 35 mins passed and still no food including appetizers. Though we were refunded for the entire meal the kids were left hungry as we had to leave for our shuttle. We were given options to have our mozzarella sticks boxed and pizzas warmed up and put in boxes. Reason for this error was an internet issue. I felt leaving with a sour taste. We ordered the Brussels sprout pizza as well (which is partially our fault). We thought it would be mostly cheese with some glazed Brussels and bacon. Instead, the pizza seemed to lack any sauce or shredded mozzarella at all. Very dry with pizza with slightly raw Brussels, few dollops of ricotta on top and some bacon (which was very tasty). Very interesting just would've done it differently myself. Was more of a salad than a pizza. Now when they say slice, they really mean two slices, as they were so big! Also tried their Parmesan wings and hot wings. The wings were giant and flavored perfectly with crispy skin. The service was great, the food delicious, and the patio seating made for such a perfect and relaxing evening. After a great day at the beach at Hotel del Coronado today, we were hungry and saw Village Pizzeria in the area. As we walked up to the counter, there was a young blonde woman with long braided hair and glasses. We asked her what pizza she would recommend since it was our first time there. She said, "The Red, White, and Blue." When we asked what the ingredients were, she pointed to the photos in the window and said, "Just read it." What a rude response. My kids were hungry, so we still ordered and even left a tip since we were dining in. My cousin was with me and felt compelled to speak with the team lead about that employee's attitude. The pizza was great, but the customer service experience was terrible. We are all human and deserve professionalism, and the way that cashier/waitress treated us was concerning. Went here a few weeks ago and ordered a pizza and salad. After 1 hour, the food never came. I checked in at the counter and EVERY SINGLE employee was behind the counter chatting. I asked about our food and was told the kitchen "maybe missed the order". We had to leave to get back to the ferry, so the girl at the counter told me she would refund us. I waited for a minute and she said she refunded us, but didn't provide us with the receipt. I asked for proof of the refund, but she said she couldn't provide it as it had "already cleared the system". Guess what? The refund did not happen and we were charged for a meal we never got. I honestly think they gave our meal to the wrong table or to a pick up order because we WERE charged and everyone around us--including folks who ordered after us--got served pretty quickly. I have been trying to get in touch with a manager, but they're never available and I never hear back despite leaving my contact info. I even called their Bayside location to see if they could help and the folks there hear me out and just say "Wow, that totally sucks, but yeah, keep trying." Is a charge back really the only way to solve this and how can such a busy place not have a way to give you a receipt for a refund? What?! Yeah, it does suck to pay for food you didn't get, it does suck to not be able to resolve this in weeks, and it does suck to NOT be given a receipt AND never get a call back from management. read more

Quaint pizza joint in the heart of Coronado. It's just walking distance to the famous Hotel Del and has a lot of great business nearby to visit and explore. I love that you can order pizzas by the slice or order them the way they usually are served. We preferred doing it this way because it can get quite busy so I recommend snatching up a table first before placing an order. They have another bigger location at Ferry Landing on the north end of Coronado (with a beautiful view of the SD skyline). You can never go wrong with either! It had enough pepperoni on it to allow us to open our own pizzeria and not run out all night. The garlic knots were burnt and they weren't able to refund us and make new ones because they were out.
