    Greek Salad and Chicken Tenders
    Bekah C.

Village Pizzeria is a new must-stop when you're in Coronado, especially if you're visiting with a big group. We enjoyed the El Diablo Knots, the Greek Salad, chicken tenders, and the Giant 28-Inch Pizza. Everything hit the mark. Everything tasted amazing. Even the Giant pizza was full of flavor and high quality ingredients. The thing that made our first visit most memorable was the staff. They were so friendly and helpful to our large group of 14 people. We really appreciated their service.

HH special - slice and beer - $9!

Really hard to beat the deal here for HH and also lots of great people watching! I was in Coronado for the SD Writers Festival and was hungry after the event and pizza was calling my name. I fired up the good ol' trusted Yelp app and this place popped up and they have a nice HH deal even on the weekend. I stopped in around 5:20pm and had a slice of sausage and mushroom and an Orange Wit beer. Both items came to $9, which is a sweet deal here in SD. You take a number and wait for your food. I snagged a table right outside on the sidewalk and had a prime people watching spot, sweet! A young woman brought me my slice and then noticed I also didnt have my beer and fetched it for me. She was sweet (and a beach cutie), thank you! The pizza slice was solid and beer was great! Im definitely coming back here when Im here in Coronado! I loved this casual spot to grab a slice and beer. Afterwards, head over to the beach to enjoy the sunset. Everybody in Coronado loves this place too, it was busy and packed with all the beach goers!

This is a fast casual pizzeria at the heart of Coronado. We placed our order at the counter and our pizza was ready in 15 mins. The pizza was thin crusted yet has the integrity to hold all the toppings. I would say, this is one of the best pizzas I've had in California.

Pizza by the slice Stopped in for lunch on a beautiful sunny day with a coworker who had been here before, and we sat outside--prime location to enjoy the weather, especially while visiting from the East Coast during wintertime. I'd visit again for a quick lunch! Priced fair and decent pizza for SoCal - and that's coming from a NY native. Pizza 3.6/5 Location 5/5 Service 5/5

We waited for happy hour to only find out it's the same price as the regular deal lol. Anywho pizza was good! 10/10 delicious The sliders were not worth it, the bread was soggy and you only get half a meatball per sandwich: Staff was friendly and nice. We have been here a couple times in the past and always have a good experience.

    Brussel sprout pizza

Stopped in here on a whim while walking down the strip. Service was friendly and fast. Casual Indoor and outdoor seating. Pepperoni pizza was very average. We ordered the Brussels sprout pizza as well (which is partially our fault). We thought it would be mostly cheese with some glazed Brussels and bacon. Instead, the pizza seemed to lack any sauce or shredded mozzarella at all. Very dry with pizza with slightly raw Brussels, few dollops of ricotta on top and some bacon (which was very tasty). Very interesting just would've done it differently myself. Was more of a salad than a pizza. Besides the slight disappointment of our order there was a large menu with plenty of options and I'm sure there are better choices.

Was lucky enough to attend a dress rehearsal showing of Arms and the Man at The Lambs Players theater, so we decided to try out Village Pizzeria for some pre-show dinner. It was a Tuesday night and I was pleasantly surprised to know they had happy hour pricing on their slices, drinks, and some apps. Tried the Sicilian pizza and Napoli. Now when they say slice, they really mean two slices, as they were so big! Also tried their Parmesan wings and hot wings. The wings were giant and flavored perfectly with crispy skin. The service was great, the food delicious, and the patio seating made for such a perfect and relaxing evening. I don't come to Coronado often, but will definitely come back just for the pizza and patio seating.

This spot is in a great location, just a short walk from the Coronado Hotel and beach. They've got really good happy hour prices, which makes it a nice option for families. The indoor seating has that classic old brick pizza house feel, and the outdoor area on the side offers some shade which was nice. The cashier and waitress were both really nice and attentive, which we appreciated. We ordered the meatball sliders, garlic Parmesan wings, a slice of pepperoni, and a slice of Hawaiian. Everything was fine, nothing bad but nothing that really stood out either. It's not the kind of food I'd find myself craving later, but for the price, location, and overall vibe, it was worth the stop.

I really wanted to love Village Pizzeria but it was only okay. The service was excellent and the restaurant itself is in a great location. However, it is pretty expensive and you could get better pizza for cheaper. The sicilian pizza had good flavor but the crust was very dense and doughy.

Honestly wish I had better things to say about this. The bacon alla vodka pizza and lil vodka roni fries sounded promising but I feel like the sauce wasn't really there. My family did enjoy the pizza crust though, and there is a good amount of outdoor seating.

We had Whitestone Meathead Works Mac and cheese Salad Party of six sharing three large pizzas and we still had plenty of leftovers. What a great find. Great location with a wonderful view and delicious pizzas. They really cook the crust so they're not soggy. We came during the week in the evening and that might make a difference in terms of the huge crowds as it is a popular tourist spot.

One of our favorites! Pizza remind us of NYC pies. Calzones are stuffed. Food is served hot! Staff are friendly. Family atmosphere with seating outside. Parking can be difficult.

Ask the Community - Village Pizzeria

    Is it dog friendly?

On the patio, dogs are frequent guest.

Is this pizza place owned by the same people who operate Village Pizzeria Bayside?

Yes, the owner is Blue Bridge Hospitality, and also owns several other Coronado restaurants.

Do they sell pizza by the slice?

Yes they do, but I only had them during their happy hour from 3-6pm and 9-close. You would have to call to see if they do before or after, but I don't see what not.

I waited about 13 min yesterday in line. (This is week days) When you wait in line, you will see all these menu for lunch and deserts and coffee menu. Unfortunately you can't see any pastries on the display because the fridge is broken or something. After I paid and went to the other side of counter, you see all these beautiful bread and muffins so on. It's shame. So I had to wait in line again on my first day here. No2, this cashier lady here almost every day. She took my order and wrote down in piece of paper and put it on the counter in front of pastries. And other employee past by and my order paper flew away into trash can it was beneath of the counter. I witnessed it all. It's not efficient, imo. Tell you why, when I came in yesterday, almost same /similar thing happened. I ordered croissants and this same older lady took my order and put the order paper to the same counter but I saw the paper stayed there. lol. I was making my coffee, but I waited 7 min and no sight of my bread. I saw a man's order came before me so I asked a lady in charge of waning up. And she said I don't see your order! Because the cashier lady left my order paper the other side of counter, which is closer to the cashier. So warm up lady didn't see the paper. I don't know how that work, warm up lady have to come and check the counter every once in a while or what?! I think Ms Aida is not 100% capable of this fast pace morning coffee shop position And also a barista, he seemed he didn't like what he was doing. ( just his attitude what I was observing while I was waiting for my order). -A lady was in charge of warming bread was very nice. Attentive and helpful . I gave 2 stars because foods are very delicious but every time I come for coffee in the morning, I get pissy with the cashier lady, I'm sorry

The service was excellent so that's all I'm going off of. The menu did look pretty fire though, so I'd be willing to give it another shot cause for all intents and purposes, the other people in the restaurant seemed to be really enjoying the food! But anyways... I'm a skillet cookie connoisseur. Any place that has a skillet cookie, I'm going there SOLEY to order it. If I ever get married, instead of having cake, my guests will be having skillet cookies for dessert instead. Some might say I love skillet cookies even more than Scottie Scheffler. My love for skillet cookies runs deeper than the Mariana trench and I've been to more than (at least) 11 restaurants to exclusively try them out. With that out of the way... I'm horrified to report this is the worst skillet cookie I've ever had in my entire life. It somehow felt overcooked, yet undercooked at the same time. It was also like they cooked it at an angle. Because it awkwardly occupied 3/4ths of the skillet. It had the consistency of a cake but the taste of a cookie? It was like they couldn't decide whether or not they wanted to make a cake or a cookie. So instead, they decided to half bake something that was in between. I couldn't believe it. It was also completely lacking in the chocolate chip department. All in all, this skillet cookie had a worse performance than Michael Jordan during his high school varsity tryouts. I'll admit it too... I completely lied to the waitress when she came over and asked me how the cookie was. Instead of telling her the truth, I gave her two thumbs up and said, " it's good!"....
