I find it hard to believe that I have not reviewed Highland Park Wine. I've been coming here since they opened and would frequent their weekly Wednesday wine tastings. It was $15 for three tastings plus charcuterie and focaccia from Triple Beam Pizza. I'd always purchase a bottle or two of whatever was my favorite that evening. (On my last visit I was told the tastings will be returning soon.) Inside the shop you'll find a large variety of organic, natural, and biodynamic wines, in addition to a limited selection of small batch spirits, craft beer, cider, & sake. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to assist. What's great is you can grab a slice of pizza from Triple Beam, purchase a bottle of vino, and sit out on their dog friendly patio and enjoy. (They even have a water bowl for your pup.) If you are a fan of Everson Royce Wine or Silver Lake Wine you'll love Highland Park Wine too. *Free delivery in 90042 area.

My friend and I came here on Wednesday night for their wine Wednesday happy hour deal! They have a select 3 wines (red, white, rose) and it's $20 for a tasting flight of the 3 or $10 for a glass of one. While you can't choose any wines besides those, it's a good deal and we enjoyed all the wines we tried! The staff was super friendly and gave us the background for each wine we tried. It's standing room only with a few tables throughout the wine shop so it can get a bit crowded and might not be the best for large groups. They have Triple Beam Pizza and a few other restaurants nearby so you can easily grab dinner too.

The ambiance is friendly with the staff attentive. It's a great place to unwind, better if you have a friend. Please go with a full stomach and a glass of water

K they deliver and it's just so dangerously convenient. Amazing wine at my fingertips. I also love going in and browsing the shelves. Can't wait to come on a Wednesday and do a tasting!!! My fave is trying the staff's recommendations. I've discovered new faves because of them! love you guys for that! more recommendations on my blog www.losangelysse.com

But seriously, how many times can I review Highland Park Wine? I know it seems like I'm obsessed with this place, and it's because I am. I thought it was important to update my wine loving friends on Yelp that they recently launched an online shop! You can still call if you want to (and the staff there has only given me lovely recs), but if you're wanting to peruse what's available a bit more, the online shop is great. I ordered two bottles over the weekend and they gave me a free Eric Junker "lavate las manos" poster (perfect for these COVID times) with my order. I'd been eyeing that exact poster for a while now and am over the moon about it! I was also able to send my partner to go pick up the order for me (I called and let them know ahead of time, but they didn't mind at all). I love you, Highland Park Wine!

Finally it is here. When it was announced a couple/few years ago, it didn't seem like it could happen. Silverlake Wines/Everson Royce in Highland Park. And now, here it is, at last. You can tell them what profiles you're looking for, and a bottle is immediately presented to you, and it'll be just perfect. Many affordable bottles, too.

Wed night wine tastings in the back. $15 for three pours accompanied with some great cheese, bread and olives.

Attended their Wed night wine tasting tonight 11/23/19 and really enjoyed it. You get three generous wine pours with some delicious focaccia from Triple Beam/Hippo with some cheese and olives. We really enjoyed our time there. Afterwards, I purchased a bottle of one of their tasting wines and a four pack of Hoxie Wine and set the wine down in front of Triple Beam Pizza for a minute and the bag ended up disappearing. Otto from the wine shop was incredibly kind and demonstrated tremendous customer service by replacing both wines. He didn't have to but he did and I am so so grateful. Additionally, Aden the security guard was so very kind and helped me. Thank you to both! Big fan!

He was highly professional, apologized for the unacceptable service, assured me he had spoken to the staff so it wouldn't happen again, and went out of his way to completely cover the cost of my order. It takes a lot for a business to own their mistakes and make it right, and I really appreciate that ownership actually cares about their customers. ORIGINAL EXPERIENCE: Do not order delivery directly from their website. I originally placed an order online for a couple beers and two bottles of liquor, and despite living only 2.8 miles away, I was called by an employee named Angelo who told me it would take 4 hours to deliver. When I expressed frustration, he offered zero compensation or alternative solutions. He claimed there was "no manager" to speak to, and told me to just go use DoorDash or Grubhub instead because nobody wanted to drive a moped less than 3 miles. It is incredibly frustrating when a business takes your money for an advertised service, refuses to fulfill it, and then tells you to go pay extra fees on a third-party app. Overall, I'm giving 3 stars because Amar's excellent response and accountability balanced out Angelo's initial terrible service.

All about the Boomtown Brewery!…read more This Arts District favorite is a beat away from Union Station where I typically make my way over from to enjoy all the good good that Boom has to offer. Located on Jackson Street between N Vignes Street and Center Street (but actually on the corner on Vignes) you can find local street parking throughout the area, but nothing beats a train ride or a ride share to enjoy responsibly. Always have a great time here on the inside or their long patio with flat screens outdoors (as well as in) to catch the latest events. DJs always spinning the best beats. The brewery where the make the magic is pretty spacious yet intimate. Was able to go on a tour here and learn more about the ins and outs. The taproom is stellar for group hangs and socials. Pool tables, photo booth, arcade style games, loungey area, communal seating, and local food vendors who come out and serve up great eats. Not as many vegan friendly spot, though the few that are on select days and times are pretty solid. If you're an IPA enthusiasts they have at least 6 on the rotation including the Nose Job (7% abv) and a personal fav. Their Hydration Break WC IPA, is a little more of India Pale Ale punch (7.4%), but you can't go wrong with any. Flights are still a recommend if you want to feel out the variety. For Hard Seltzer lovers, you've got the Frosty Fresco or Al Fresco. Fruit Snacks Lager is surprisingly epic as is the Brett Michael's Blonde Sour. I do miss some of their more seasonals such as the red lager aka Part-Time Lover but do enjoy all that's on the rotation. You can pop in for events like Friday Karaoke, Tuesday Taproom Trivia or Open Mic Mondays. Book a private event for all style of events. Family and pet friendly until 7pm. Beer and wine packages available with up to 300 person capacity. No matter the day... Still come for the beer, stay for the cheer. Take in the rustic decor, artsy vibes outdoors. Planty vines and nothing but things that make you thrive. Boomtown Brewery always gets me feeling the good vibes.
