You order both food and drinks at the counter and you get a number so you can find your own table. A lot of people found a table first then jumped in line to order. The servers were very unhelpful helping guide customers to available table, we made two trips trying to move with our hands full of food. Customers came off as rude. One lady threw down a magazine and walked away while her husband waited in line and came in to claim the magazine to rescue his table. Another customer had loudly complained he forgot to order his side of sausages when he received his food and huffed that the ordering line was long. The bar seating is very uncomfortable as there's nowhere to put your legs. The food itself was fine. The kale salad tasted good and they had a good selection of breakfast pastries. Service was okay, but the cashier didn't greet us or anything (but I've learned to expect that at these "trendy" type of places lol). Matcha in LA is a hit or miss, but I'd never order it from here again - it tastes like straight syrup and milk, and as you can see in the photo the green color is barely there. Bored of our usual brunch rotation in Culver City, we decided to check this out. I was expecting a hipster spot with annoyed-looking servers and this is exactly what it is. Food was good - chicken strips were elevated with yummy hot honey and aioli sauces, plus they come with a generous portion of fries. Tuna salad and burger were solid, as was the obligatory avocado toast (extra small egg $3). A few things bugged me - a hair on the plate, croissant that we asked them to warm up was dropped at the table in a paper bag instead of plated, and no refill on the $5 coffee/iced teas (and yes I realize that's not typical for a coffee shop but this is more of a restaurant where refills are usually complimentary for basic drinks). Line was long on MLK Day but a buddy told us it's usually quieter in the mornings. Luckily we were able to find a table but some people were crouched uncomfortably on benches trying to eat their $20 breakfast burritos. Love that they use Bub's bread. Not many breakfast/brunch options in this neighborhood, so I'd come back if I was already in the area but I prefer Lodge Bread or Playa Provisions. read more

A great place to be productive! I've visited twice now, got a matcha latte the first time and a black tea with honey the second. Both drinks were 5-7 dollars. Lots of tables but can get full quickly. They have food but I have yet to try any - it always smells good though. Parking is always available on the street. read more

The uber driver asked me? "Are you sure this is the place?" Luckily, I checked google maps before going here because I would have asked the same thing. When they say its a hidden gem, it's actually hidden gem of a wine and cafe. It's also wonderful solace during a record breaking heatwave. They sell lots wine, food, mouth watering pastries, and lattes and teas. The people serving the drinks were all lovely and the drinks are top notch. There was an AC too which helped so much. I tried the iced Madagascar vanilla latte, which was incredible i enjoyed this one. I regret not getting the Prana Chai latte which was surprisingly not as spicy as i thought it would be. Have always loved the ambiance of this place. I miss the white + green cuteness of its previous countenance! Spritely vibe, now gone a bit classier. Generally, I have thought of this spot as a Go To for any West Adams resident, with folks working on laptops and having lunch or coffee meetings morning to evening. I could usually count on them playing some good jams. Since the Highland Park location branched out, not sure if their brand is pivoting. I often order the open face Tuna Melt. My partner recently tried the Kale Chicken Salad and said it was the best he has ever had, so I will note that here due to the enthusiastic response. The only thing for which I would dock 1-star: the sheer busy-ness of the place. I feel like if I wanted to keep it less busy, I would elect not to write a review! I stumbled upon Highly Likely online while mapping out local dispensaries close to my Airbnb while visiting the West Adams area of Los Angeles. Struck gold because this 5 star cafe was only 1 mile from our house; we loved it so much, we walked there 3 separate times in the 4 days we were in LA! Our first meal took place immediately after landing at LAX; we could not check in to our house because it was too early so we decided to grab a bite to eat. We were so hungry and exhausted from traveling but the staff was so incredibly nice and welcomed us with friendly hellos and smiles that it immediately upped our moods. They have a very diverse menu and offer a bit of everything like avocado toast, breakfast burrito, sandwiches, salads, fish n chips, tacos, fresh baked cookies and a huge line of specialty coffees, teas, lattes and even wine. I ordered the "BTLA" sandwich which consisted of the best homemade focaccia bread, local fresh bacon, avocado, gem lettuce, roasted tomatoes and the yummiest kewpee mayo. I absolutely loved it and ate the entire sandwich. Loved dipping it in their hot sauce. Really enjoyed the side of pickled veggies as well. And before I forget, their hot sauce is absolutely amazing! If you are a hot sauce lover, just ask them for some and trust me, you will thank me. Second time dining in was the very next afternoon before heading to an event. I ordered the "Vegan (Or Not) Ceasar" salad which consisted of arugula, gem lettuce, toasted sesame croutons, Parmesan cheese and vegan ceasar dressing. I also added chicken to my salad for some extra protein. Great hearty salad, I really enjoyed it. Super fresh high quality ingredients can make a simple salad outstanding! We ordered a side of fries and asked for an extra cup of their hot sauce for dipping and yesssss it's so good! Third time dining in was for brunch the next morning and we enjoyed some matcha honey lavender lattes, apple French toast and avocado toast. The French toast was fantastic; the apples on top were sweet, but not too sweet and the texture of the bread reminded me of a perfect bread pudding. The avocado toast was the most beautiful and tasty avocado toast I have ever experienced with tons of fresh herbs and adding an over easy egg on top really completed the dish. That morning we also purchased a bottle of their hot sauce and a couple of homemade cookies to munch on as well. Loved the molasses cookie with the coconut on top; omg that was absolutely scrumptious. Since we dined here quite a few times over a long weekend, the staff began to recognize us and would greet us with big smiles and thanked us for coming back to dine with them. We were truly treated like family and I can't say enough good things about their staff; helpful, polite, down to earth, honest people. Thank you so much for your fresh, delicious food and big thanks for your hospitality. How much are you willing to pay for breakfast? Well, it isn't cheap but Highly Likely made it worthwhile. Sunday morning was my first visit to Highly Likely. The food and drinks were well worth the price paid. Service was extremely fast & efficient, and the food was much better than expected with the drinks--Prana Chai Latte and Vanilla Latte exceeding expectations--hot, tasty without being overly sweet; the decaf Americano was comparable to others--hot and watery with a little bit of flavor. Will someone please start brewing decaf coffee for the true decaf coffee drinkers out there?! As for the ambiance, my wife and I took a corner booth that gave us a great view of the crew at work and the steady flow of satisfied customers coming and going. Highly Likely doesn't lack for space with ample seating inside and out. The downside, traffic buzzing along on Jefferson is a bit noisy and the lack of customer access to wi-fi makes it less appealing as a place to work. What a neighborhood gem this restaurant is! Came here for lunch when I was nowhere in the area because this spot has been on my radar. Arrived at 12:30 and, even though it was a rainy cold Saturday, the place was pretty busy with a line already formed. Some tables are communal and it's first come first serve as far as finding a seat. My husband and I ordered drip coffee, a honey lavender oatmilk latte along with a breakfast sando and breakfast burrito as our entrees. I opted for my burrito to have avocado instead of meat. Employees are young, hip and friendly and the interior is pretty modern with some tables outside too. My latte was delicious! There's just something about enjoying a hot drink while the weather outside is grey and dismal. Food was excellent. The hot sauce they serve (I think it may be made Inhouse but I'm not 100% sure) is bright and has a bit of a Smokey flavor but not overpowering at all. The heat sneaks up on you! Burrito was very flavorful and I enjoyed it very much; also a good size so you could even share with someone if you aren't super hungry. The breakfast sandwich was tasty and lots of pesto flavor, It's highly likely that I will be returning to this establishment; there's another location in Highland Park I want to check out next! read more

I like to go to this spot because it's close to my house. The updated menu is better than the one prior. I usually get the veggie burger or the crispy hippie wrap with a side of fries. Both are really good if you're looking for a vegetarian option. In my opinion, the fries are a bit pricey given how small the portion is. If I'm paying $5.25 for an order of fries I definitely would like a bigger portion. I was expecting at least double the portion I was given to be honest. My group visited here after a workout nearby and got a table just before a huge lunch rush, on a Saturday! You stand in line to order, they have a QR for you to review the menu while waiting, then you receive a number and everything is brought to your table. We sat outdoors, so we had to contend with flies, however it was a nice experience. The area is pretty sketch and the restaurant sticks out like a store thumb on the sidewalk, with a few of the cars parked on the street. Street parking was ample, and free! The sweet potato tacos were delicious, especially with the red sauce which was a mild hot sauce of some sort. I enjoyed it with an iced matcha with almond milk, pretty tasty as well. I ordered for delivery so I can't speak to the ambience which from reviews seems to be great. I got the breakfast sando with a gluten free bun and my partner got the pibil bowl. Both were very mediocre. The pibil bowl was pretty small to be $17. It doesn't come with rice but does come with just one "crispy tostada" that was the size of a large tortilla chip. Given that it's the only grain, could have added a second one. I didn't even take the gf bun into consideration on the sando because quite honestly 90% of gf bread is garbage. This one was not the worst I've ever had but didn't contribute much to the sandwich. I appreciate the option nonetheless. The thing that struck me and takes this down to 3 stars for me is that NOTHING had flavor. After my first bite, my reaction was that everything definitely SHOULD taste really good together based on the ingredients but it just didn't. It took me a minute to figure out what was missing and it was definitely seasoning. I don't like overseasoned food in general but this was straight up unseasoned as far I could tell. I added avocado and bacon. Even the bacon I added was oddly muted. The schug, which is typically a very herby and even spicy sauce, tasted like nothing. The roasted tomatoes were bad enough that I picked them all out. I struggled to find the little bit of cheese and the avocado was like a spread that was pretty minimal for $3 (!!) add on. And the "herbs, herbs, herbs" was just a couple sprigs of parsley and I guess the schug sauce. The soft scrambled eggs were nicely cooked just not salted which would have been fine if anything else was. I have a pretty low threshold for salt so if I'm saying there wasn't any salt there really wasn't. What carried the sandwich was the obviously high quality ingredients but unfortunately due to serious underseasoning I didn't feel like the flavors came together. Definitely not worth $24.50 (!!!) with add ons, and without add ons I don't think I would have even given it 3 stars. This is a bummer because highly likely is near my house and has lots of gf options but while I might give it one more try to make sure it wasn't just an off day, I doubt I'll be back. read more

I've lost count of how many times I've been here but this is one of my favorite spots to work out of! They've got WiFi and plug outlets but heads up that they turn the WiFi off on the weekends. I've tried most of their breakfast items, my favorite is the chilaquiles. You order at the register and they'll bring your order out to you. The outdoor seating is nice too if you're meeting up with someone. Agree with another review that the music inside is pretty loud so not really an environment if you need to take calls. I've never stayed late enough to check out happy hour/drink wine but that seems fun too! read more
