Nice restaurant offering a variety of dishes from pasta, steak, fish and homemade desserts. I ordered the Branzino, broccolini, and arugula salad. The salad was delicious as was the fish and arugula salad. Everything was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. However, I did find the Branzino a bit too salty but the portion was larger than expected, which was appreciated. Others in my party enjoyed the skirt steak and pasta, and found them both to be very flavorful. My server was great. She was friendly and had a wonderful disposition. The restaurant is a quaint yet classy space, which is beautifully decorated. Paintings and other decorative objects co are affixed to the walls, which only heighten the dining room's overall ambience. Reservations aren't a requirement but are highly recommended. So I was invited to this restaurant by a friend. He said it was a new spot that just opened up and they have a full bar as well. I'm always up for trying new places. When we pulled up, it seemed like it was a very small place but when we walked in, it was quite grand! Decorated very classic, with an Italian old school vibe. Very nice sized bar. Lit for a nice romantic dinner. Saw some distinguished gentlemen there! Food and drinks were delicious! I ordered pasta rigatoni and desert. Both were exquisite! Beautiful lounge that just opened today (1/17/26)!! Interior is beautiful, classy, dark ambiance with red leather seats 20's vibe. You could've filmed an episode of mad men here. The cocktail prices are $13-16 which is good ! We tried the Pandemonium and Desert Sun. Pandemonium was a little too sweet for me but I really enjoyed my tequila cocktail Desert Sun. They also have a large selection of non alcoholic cocktails/beer, I believe some may have CBD in it. Fun! For the opening night the place was packed and lively. Service was friendly. We're told they should have food service starting in February. I'm so glad there's a new addition to the West Adams neighborhood. Such a clever place, tucked away to look like it's very small when it's actually palatial inside. It was so unassuming and quiet that I wasn't sure I'd driven past the right place, even! Ambiance is absolutely top notch. Two sets of doors! The royal treatment. It feels like descending into a relic from the past: lots of dark wood, high ceilings, and low lights that make it feel almost too reverent to be a space for food and drink. That said... by the time a sizable crowd had showed up, the music was absolutely BLASTING overhead. The food was very nice. We had some Jidori chicken and some Al dente pasta, another of which had lovely, sumptuous mushrooms in one fashion or another. The portions are plenty large, besides. The cocktails were good. They have a specific menu for their standards, which makes me think they're more the recommended fare than something off-menu. The whiskey sour I ordered was alright. Loved the double doors. Drinks: Delicious! Suggestions: It was opening day. When we arrived sound level was perfect. About an hour in they cranked up the music and we had to move tables because it was way too loud. Music playlist: Uneven. This needs to be curated - lounge-y earlier in the evening, dance-y & lively as you get to later evening and down to slower music as it gets later. This vintage establishment is recent but has now gotten very popular. Situated in a 1930s corner building the style is cool and appeals to the more aesthetic tastes rather than loud over the top venues. My few times here was very pleasant, especially with our server Shavonne. Besides being very attractive she was very attentive and despite her many duties was always paying attention to our table. Handsome well appointed classic bar. Freddy was our bartender. He was a local who gave us a real positive run down on the local happenings. Our drinks were great and so was our meatball appetizer. For dinner, we chose the mac and cheese, flat iron steak au poivre w/frites, and asparagus. Hot take: the mac and cheese was one of the best I've had. The steak had all the right flavors, but it sat to rest too long before it was brought to the table, and was not as warm as it should've been. Not a dealbreaker. The fries were especially good. The drinks were strong and tasty. Honestly, I was very pleasantly surprised. I just figured this would be just another dive bar (which my area is notorious for). But instead, this self-named "little room" has delivered a Big and desperately needed dose of class and style to the neighborhood. The Little Room has the vibe of a club or a lodge you might find in the 1940s: booths clad in red faux leather, wait staff in ties, dark enough to signal if it's time to buy your first pair of readers. When we entered it was a early on a Friday night. The music was jazz--at first, but it soon slipped into a medley of different genres that made it seem the restaurant was willing to divest from its original premise of genteel sophistication to ride the trend of the typical sounds of LA night life. (I think this is a mistake before 7pm.) In this way, it reminded me of seven grand in downtown LA. But nicer, a bit more personal. The portraits lining the panel clad walls suggest a purveyor of goods who longs for the romantic days of yore. When cocktail programs and menus were streamlined and simple to understand. Simplicity missing in today's world of endless complicated sophistication and pretense. (I'm pretty sure there was a portrait of Josephine Baker over the host booth.) There is security in these environments that allow patrons to travel back in time, but they can also lie on the border of stodgy or predictable. Except for the presence of Shavonne, With her cherry red hair, her professionalism, bright personality and charm, she effortlessly guided us through the menu. She seems to genuinely enjoy people--and this makes for a great host and server. She also has a fun personality; the type where you could drink all night, get a little naughty, but she'd never tell your secrets. Part of the fun of those yesteryear restaurants was that the wait staff were allowed to be themselves but maintain professionalism and discretion. You could get to know your bartender and the staff would know your name and your favorite booth. They were great at convincing every patron they were special and that there went just a customer, but part of the "family". Shavonne definitely has that quality for the 21st century. Now for the food. (This is where the criticism comes in.) The food concept I like. It's great not being overwhelmed by 10 different entrees. But if the menu is going to be streamlined, every dish has to be exceptional. It has the be the best representation of that dish either by traditional 20th century restaurant standards (think Musso and Frank) or an exciting riff for the 21st century. This food was neither. I'd like to see the recipes reworked at a higher level. Reminiscent of the 20th century but elevated for the 21st. This is a great neighborhood bar if you live nearby. I saw people socializing and having fun. Just chatting a and meeting random people like the olden times. Ditch the dating and friend apps and start hanging out at bars! Great concept. The wedge and arugula salads were a good size for sharing and the steaks and burgers were okay. The pork loin was bland and the portion of mac and cheese was very small for the price. The service really brought the rating down. Our server was inattentive, other employees had to check on us. We waited 10 minutes to put in a dessert order, but he never returned. I've been a proud West Adams resident for nine years, and it's been a pleasure watching the neighborhood's restaurant and bar scene steadily evolve. What it has consistently lacked, however, is true nightlife. That may finally be changing. Upon entering the conspicuously dark red façade of The Little Room, we're greeted by a warm, welcoming doorman before stepping into a space that is anything but "little." Inside, a tasteful selection of '70s jazz breaks flows from the turntables, spun on vinyl by DJ Jihaari. The sound is full and enveloping without overpowering--perfectly calibrated for conversation and movement alike. Almost immediately, it's clear this place has the bones of a fantastic nightclub, equally inviting to dancers and serious music heads. The décor channels the golden age of jazz clubs and cigar rooms, with dark wood paneling, black-and-white photography, ornate iron chandeliers, and one of the most beautiful bars I've encountered anywhere in Los Angeles. Every detail feels intentional and transportive. We slide into the only remaining booth (the room is packed for a Sunday night) and are greeted by a sharp, well-dressed server with menus in hand. The cocktail program strikes a rare balance between classic and inventive, offering something for everyone--including an impressively robust page of nonalcoholic options. I ordered the Smoke of the Water, and without exaggeration, it's the best mezcal-based cocktail I've ever had. An absolute standout and a must-order. All told, our first visit couldn't have gone better. The Little Room feels like the missing piece West Adams has been waiting for--equal parts elegance, energy, and soul. read more

An off menu drink was I believe called the milk punch. It was not a dairy drink, but it was very good. Don't know what's in it but excellent. If I had to guess, gin or vodka. We also had a traditional daiquiris as they used to make in Cuba. Lime rum with juice refreshing. As of all the places on Adam's parking can be limited so drive a small car or take Uber.
