This review is for a recent Sunday breakfast--my first visit there. What a mixed bag! Nice vibe, nice decor, relaxed clientele. I would love to have this business in my neighborhood. Also the coffee drinks we had were well done with nicely pulled shots. So as a coffee place and wine bar? 5 stars. As a place to eat? Much less convincing. The kitchen seems off. My simple toast + eggs plate came with broken yolks. And my other half's chicken and waffles came drenched in chili sauce, which wasn't bad but ruined the dish for her. Drowning waffles in hot sauce without explicitly saying so on the menu is a cheeky choice to make on a customer's behalf. I ordered pickup and I suspect that I waited longer than I should have to head over, the 30 minute wait wasn't warranted and the sandwich got a little cold as a result. That I can take responsibility for. The place was full since it's a Friday, but it didn't matter to me much since I was only picking up the food. It was the fish sandwich, the fish was a little dry and the coleslaw moved unpredictably, but I could've predicted that. The cafe is inhabited by a dark entity. It is not an ancient being, but one that has just arrived, and is still learning what it is, like a baby rattlesnake that knows not the strength of its venom. It's a local cafe in Los Angeles, and it's a fashionable space that suddenly appears on the national highway. I think it was mostly used by locals and we were the only tourists. Lovely neighborhood cafe/wine bar/eatery. Parking has generally been easy when I'm been. Breakfast items I've had have been tasty although their coffee is a bit weak for me. The wine and beer selection has actually become stellar (as opposed to very limited at the beginning). The vibe is awesome, and admittedly the average age of the typical customer is likely much younger than I am; however, it's a place to just hang out for quite a while! I would seriously work here on a regular basis if not for the loud music, making it tough for me to make calls (which my job sometimes requires). Oh and last but not least, if you come at peak times, get ready for another challenge: finding street parking that isn't 10 blocks away! Came here on a Saturday afternoon for brunch/lunch. It was packed! I tried their tumeriffic, which was great but had a lot of sediment that hadn't been mixed through at the end. Came here to study with friends for finals a couple months back. The vibe is great for catching up with friends and had pretty reliable wifi if you're going there to work. Service was nice, but food/drinks were definitely on the pricier/lackluster side. I got their breakfast sando which was not only pricey for what I got (small portioned sandwich with just eggs, tomatoes, and herbs) but it was also under seasoned and the bread was burnt. It does get crowded. Sometimes you'll have to wait for a table opens up. When I was there, there were always a lot of people working at the cafe. The staff was very friendly to people working there. Amenities: (3/5) This is referring to the outlets and wifi. Wifi is only available on M-F, no wifi on the weekend. There are only 3 outlets along the walls, You may have to wait till a table nearby opens up. Price (4/5) It's definitely not cheap, a latte is around $5 - $6 and tea is $5. I guess it's not different than other cafes in LA Parking (5/5) Street parking was very easy and it's free. I firstly love the interior design of this place. I've worked on laptop here with ease; the only thing that's a little odd is how the outlets are under the seat and you basically have to crawl under a table to plug it in. The open-air design of the place works great for the weather in this area. In terms of the coffee, I've had delicious beverages every time. The one time I didn't like my order, the barista happily exchanged it for another beverage and I really appreciate that! The only downside in terms of service is that the line can get a bit long and service can be slow on busy days. Understandable though. I have yet to try the food but my beverages are delicious. The reason I haven't tried the food is because it's a little out of my budget but it's not overpriced by the looks of their ingredients and preparation. Love love love this place! Quality ingredients, friendly staff, great atmosphere, easy parking! This has quickly become one of my favorite spots in the area. Everything has so much flavor and the food tastes fresh and looks gorgeous. If you love salads, I recommend all of them but the kale salad is fantastic! We also loved the black rice bowl, so much flavor! I'm also a huge fan of the lavender honey matcha latte, I crave this thing. Highly Likely is in my neighborhood. Overall, I really like Highly Likely. The food and vibe is amazing. BUT - and it's a big but - they only have one barista and it's impossible to pop in and get a coffee to go in a reasonable amount of time. They have one line, one cashier, and usually one barista. If this is a neighborhood coffee shop as well as a restaurant, they have to make it more user-friendly for customers. I'd love to come by on weekends and grab a coffee, but after waiting in lines for as long as 20 minutes to order, then 15-ish minutes to wait for the coffee, I have had to find other options.
