Planned a last minute catch up brunch and the ambiance of this place was so cutee. I see why ppl come here to study. I also found it cute that they play movies on a projector! As much as I loved the ambiance, the food was unfortunately a little bland for me and I wasn't the biggest fan of the matcha. I think maybe a pump of vanilla or lavender would've been perfect for me but I will def come back for the waffle bc that was amazing and I'm grateful my friend made me try it. Highly Likely is an all-day coffee shop/wine bar/cafe on Jefferson in West Adams. It has a few locations now, but this one is the original, a neighborhood concept that did well enough to try out elsewhere. I went for a birthday party, which took over the entire space for four hours on a Saturday evening. It was a fun venue that accommodated a large crowd, both inside and on a pleasant front patio. The space was attractive in a 2010s Arts Districty way, with lots of plants and lights and an unfinished ceiling. The acoustics weren't ideal--it definitely got loud in there. There was a bartender on duty pouring a selection of four wines throughout the party. He was speedy and nice, and the wines were great. I tried the Felix "GV," the Wavy Wines LS Gris, and the Domaine Majas--a Grüner Veltliner, a skin contact blend, and a red blend. All tasty and easy to drink. We had dinner plans, but I couldn't resist some of the food going around. It looked delicious and the staff kept it coming. The harissa meatballs were tender and flavorful, made with pork and beef, served with harissa tomato sauce and feta. The falafel bites were lovely, crispy nuggets with whipped miso tahini, s'chug, and pickled red onion. I also enjoyed the maitake crostini, with maitake mushroom, miso tahini, pomegranate molasses, herbs, and Korean chili flakes on sliced baguette. I don't know what Highly Likely is like during normal business hours, but it was a good place for a big party. I'd be happy to go back to eat more food and drink more wine. read more

A super hip and cute spot! It wasn't too hard to find street parking. The restaurant is spacious with various sizes of tables. You wait in line to order at the cashier before sitting down with a number. The menu is huge and I love the selections of food and drinks. They also have baked goods that you can pick at the counter. Their matcha latte was good and I tried my friends vanilla oat latte that was good too! I got the breakfast burrito which was tomatoy and delicious, wish they gave more salsa. I was curious to try highly likely based on seeing Kat compete on Top Chef. In the neighborhood, we stopped by. Plenty of free street parking which is a rarity was a plus. There is indoor and outdoor seating. We scanned the menu at the bar and ordered. I had the pibil and hubs had a burger. Both were delicious. My bowl was loaded with meat, just the right amount of heat, a perfectly fried egg with a runny yolk and a super crispy tortilla. The burger was cooked to the temperature requested, the fries were good and homemade pickles were a nice touch although a little more vinegar than I prefer. They operate on an order-first model, so I ordered and paid first, then sat down. The ambiance is cute and minimal, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Food wise, the chicken tenders are amazing & the yuzu aioli is 10/10. Fattoushy salad is a little bit dill heavy and could definitely be better in terms of ingredients ratio.
