This place is soooooo cute!!! I love that this side of Jefferson is getting cafes and other stores. We deserve nice things over here too! Parking is scarce of course so just park in the neighborhood and walk. The space is big! Plenty of seating inside and outside. You can work on your laptop but they have hours where you can be outside with your laptop so keep an eye out for that. Food amazing! No complaints! Portion and flavor 10/10 Ambiance is so chi!!! The decor with the live plants inside? Love. MY "ehhh" is the service the sense of urgency was nowhere to be found and that's what we came around late brunch time and there was still a line!

Less than a mile away from our place so very convenient to reach. We arrived around 30mins before noon when the line was still decent but just minutes after suddenly growing much longer out the door. The system was order first then find seats, which seemed like making the turnaround time indeed faster. Really loved the well-lit space with chill vibes, both the indoor dining area and the outdoor patio. For those coming in bigger group, there were some communal long table inside. We got their Fish Fingers sandwich, then added halloumi and scrambled egg on the side. The portion was definitely filling with gigantic bread-crumbed snapper fillets stuffed between fluffy milk bread. The halloumi might be kinda salty on its own, but paired to the scrambled eggs certainly a good call.

Arrived around 2:45 or so and grabbed menus and a table. After deciding on what we wanted and then finally getting to the register to place our order after waiting in line, we were told that they just switched to their Happy Hour menu. The cashier did try to see if the kitchen would be willing to make the items we initially wanted but they had switched over to the happy hour menu which has less food items than the other menu. We ended up ordering artichoke fritto, fries, and the chicken sandwich. The artichoke and fries arrived lukewarm - ok. Kiddo said the chicken sandwich was good but messy. We enjoyed our drinks - ok, great (coke with espresso and cardamom bitters) and the raspberry matcha.

This place was bookmark for me for a while. I wanted to check it out for brunch. The food was good, the place was pretty full on a Tues. Street parking. The wait wasn't long either & staff was nice. We got a Turkey sandwich & spicy tuna sandwich. I personally didn't like the pickled purple veggies but the sandwiches were good! I'd like to come back and try out their cafe & to study there next time.

Came here on a Thursday afternoon to get some work done. I feel like this place is more of a restaurant than a cafe for serious work though. But the aesthetics of the space are nice, and there is outdoor seating. I wasn't seated next to any outlets, so I had to leave once my laptop died. They have waitstaff, but I don't think they take orders. I sat down first and noticed no servers came over to me, so I ordered at the counter. As for lunch, I got the pibil bowl, and it was pretty good. The tostada was the right amount of crispy. I wish I got the egg cooked over hard or even scrambled, so that's something I have to remember to request next time. Chai latte was delicious but had a bit more chai than I normally like. Free street parking is available.

Wanted to try this place cause a friend who is also gluten-free recommended it. I am also vegan so it's always exciting to find new places that cater to those limitations. I'll start by saying that parking is kind of a nightmare. I came around 2pm on a Wednesday and took 20 minutes just to find a spot. The setting is cute. A little crammed in the actual seating areas and a lot of open space that just isn't used it seems. The staff wasn't the most helpful when asking about gf/vegan options and it seems that the only way they make something gf is by removing something instead of replacing. For example, I got the crispy hippie wrap and to make it gf they removed the wrap and made it a bowl which kind of sucked cause a wrap would have been nice and a lot of other places in LA would offer a gf wrap option etc... I also got fries which were just ok for $6, as well as a raspberry matcha which I split with my boyfriend and that was honestly really good. The bowl was pretty good too but there aren't any protein options if you're vegan, like at all which is a big reason for my rating. Another reason is the time it took. We got the drink maybe 5-7 minutes after ordering (all take-out) and then sat there at least 30-40 minutes (the place wasn't that busy) just waiting for fries and a bowl to-go. They apologized for the wait time but this was pretty off-putting. I'd come back, maybe to try something else just not sure what I'd get, so maybe just a drink since that was pretty good. I think this place has tons more potential just wish they'd offer more options for those with limitations.

Updating! Updating for the vibe, my nicely portioned and delicious scrambled eggs and bacon and consistently beautiful lattes and that addictive homemade hot sauce. I'm still afraid to order an entree. I don't want to disturb this groove.

So there are lots of issues with this joint parking sucks. They are very slow to produce food. We spent about three minutes, waiting for a salad and a sandwich. The place is set right on a very noisy street as a result, it's very noisy. My partner in crime really enjoyed the kale salad. The chicken sandwich I would call mediocre instead of one single piece of chicken. They've used two smaller ones doesn't work very well. It could use a better sauce. personally, I don't think I'll be back too highly likely it's too difficult to park. They took way too long to produce whatever it is they're producing and other places is just too noisy but oh, and by the way, every other person is sitting at a table with their computer out it's quite funny great local joint not for me.

    Mike's Madagascar Vanilla Latte
    Catrina R.

Came here for a work breakfast. Very vibey - in the morning it's breakfast but it becomes a wine spot later on in the day. There's a disco ball in the ceiling. For drinks we had the ginger chai and added a shot. I had the Madagascar vanilla latte. Both of the drinks were lovely and very tasty! To add the shot it was 2.50 - kinda expensive so just be aware. For the food we had the bodega sandwich and the chilaquiles. The chilaquiles were the better of the two. The chips were crispy and tasty. Highly recommend. The bodega sandwich was also a good choice but not too filling. Please be aware this place is kinda on the expensive side. The bodega sandwich for instance was 9 dollars and was rather small. Service was fast and friendly. Lots of seating inside and out. Parking was easy at 8:15am. Plenty of street parking.

It was my first time at this place and i absolutely loved it, very cozy vibes and delicious plates to share. Our server was extremely nice and the service was fast. They had the most yummy bolognese i ever had, Their steak was very flavorful. The only thing on our table that i didn't like was the extremely crispy schnitzel, it was too oily and crispy that we couldn't even the taste the chicken. Beside that i highly recommended

I was driving home and bumped into this place. I've been wanting to try and didnt know about the LA location. Once inside, the place is full and many people were on their laptops. I found a spot at the counter and ordered some items from happy hour.. I got the Brussel sprouts, friend artichoke and a glass of rose. The Brussels sprouts were burnt to me, although the menu lends to it being charred I believe but the taste was too burnt. Luckily, the gentleman refunded it for me because I could not eat it. The friend artichoke were crispy and delicious! I would have ordered two of those plates. The rose was OK, not too sweet, had a flat finish with the sip.

Its funny to see the area I've known for so long become very gentrified but there's not that can be done to stop it lol. But I found this place to be decent but the service wasn't very helpful as there was a lot of confusion on the lines and being serviced. The food was alright, the burger was quite small and I'm glad I added bacon because it helped a tad bit. I think having to add fries since it didn't come with the burger was quite annoying and added an extra cost that could've been included in the burger price. It was a cute place but definitely not worth the money or time spent.

Love love LOVEEEEE this coffee shop! Perfectly located in West Adams, super clean, and staff are always friendly! There's ample seating inside and lots of street parking available! I've never had a problem with the area. It's safe, and you can't miss the big green building looking in from the street! I haven't tried any of the food bites, but I've gotten both hot and cold lattes that were perfect each time! I have come here to catch up with a friend both times, and the social ambiance makes it the perfect place for any meetup. The great coffee is really the icing on the cake. There's seating both outside and inside, and a huge wine selection on the wall and a cold beverage selection if coffee isn't your thing! The place is also super artsy and good for photo ops!

It remains a unique addition to the neighborhood, as well as a good place to grab some interesting dishes. Since the opening of this particular business, the Zinc chain has opened in a few other locations. Those locations are much newer in not only their establishment but their design. This is not to say that this is still not an interesting, well-designed business, but, with time, it has become a little bit rundown. I hate to say it, but that is the truth. This location could really use an update and perhaps a deep cleaning. I was, in fact, kind of surprised at the condition of this business, for example, on the way towards their restrooms. From my opinion, it needs an clean up and an update. Also, the litter that surrounded some of the outdoor tables where I was sitting at my most recent visit was very surprising. This is just something to keep in mind if you're coming here for your first visit. In terms of what they offer for food, though it has evolved a bit over the years, they still have a great, heath-based menu, with some very interesting choices. For all of you vegetarians and vegans out there, you will, for sure, be able to find some tasty food to eat. Once upon a time, this restaurant was impacted with tons and tons of people. It was constantly full with people either going to the bakery and/or sitting down for table service. Shortly past their opening each day, there would be a line of people waiting for service. This seems to have changed, however. Meaning, if you're looking for an interesting place to eat, with some good dishes, at the far Southeast side of DTLA, near the lofts district, and you want a place without a long wait to get a table and/or your food, this may still be your place to go.

Not itching to return but if I did, I'd order an açaí bowl or a pastry as those seem pretty good.

I had many questions, and both he and his team addressed every single one with patience, care, and attention to detail. It's clear that Dave was born to host events! That level of guidance makes all the difference when you're nervours... that patience and guidance it's exactly what you want in a venue partner. Prank was an excellent choice for our event. The location is fantastic, the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the drinks and food were outstanding. Thank you so much. We will absolutely recommend Prank and keep it on our radar for future events in LA.

The open patio, the bar area and how it wraps around the corner where there is a smaller intimate section. The music was awesome, the bartender has a great pour and the people seemed to be really having a great time. As I look around I see there is an open upstairs area that looks down onto the first level. So cool right? I had a conversation with two regulars and they swear by the menu. Plans are made to come back and I must try the food when I do. Cheers!!

Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, with authentic flavors and quality ingredients that stood out from the first bite to the last. The ambiance was welcoming and the art was tasteful. What truly elevated the experience was the service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making us feel genuinely welcomed throughout the meal. They were quick to offer recommendations and ensured everything was perfect without being intrusive. We ordered the tostaditas de atún agua chile negro, beet salad, carne asada taco and Al pastor taco and watched the World Cup game. Distrito Catorce combines exceptional food, a great atmosphere, and top-notch service. It's the kind of place that leaves you planning your next visit before you've even finished your meal. Definitely plan on coming back to watch more World Cup games.

To be honest, I was already biased because his Smorgasburg pop-ups were consistently good. But Distrito Catorce is different , it's like art. My favorite dish was the tacos de papa with salsa macha. The crunch of the potato taco riding into the salsa macha and crema felt like home, but with some extra pop. His salsa game is on point. The scallion salsa on the ribeye taco was also gas. Lastly, I really dug the tostadita de atún. It hit perfectly on these hot summer days. Low-key, I still want to try the El Rey de Noche. Tacos de beef trompo are starting to hit LA, and dude was ahead of the curve making picanha-brisket tacos de trompo. Service is smooth too. The servers are helpful, and solid at the bar. Overall, it's a cool spot with a menu that feels unique to LA.

My friend just flew in for a day because his relative had forgot her passport and needed to travel to Korea, so we stopped here. He missed a few meetings, a vet appointment and other things, but also saved the day, otherwise his relative wouldn't have been able to make it to Korea. While here, they ordered a salad with cherries and pecans that was pretty amazing. I think that may have been one of the better salads I've eaten. In addition to that, a cucumber burrata salad was ordered, and that was made well too. When my venison burger arrived, I took a few bites and it had the exact flavor I was hoping for and I thought the burger was done extremely well. My friend also ordered a pork chop, and it was an amazing cut, cooked perfectly, tender, juicy and everything you could ever want in a bone in pork chop. They also cut the entire piece for you and scraped every last bit off of the bone too. The service is really attentive. They come by your table a lot to ensure you have everything you need. The ambiance is a bit dim in lighting which sets a nice mood. And the place just happens to be dog friendly too. Sorry for the lack of photos, but I didn't wanna intrude on everyone else's meals. However, if you come here, definitely try the salad with cherries and the venison burger or the pork chop!
