It was my first time visiting and it was incredible. The service was top-notch and the food was amazing. I recommend making a reservation as it can get pretty busy though they do have a bar if you're feeling lucky. The NY strip and the mashed potatoes were so delicious, and the jalapeño queso doesn't come melted but still delicious and full of flavor! The fries were a bit too overcooked for us so we didn't finish them. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating without feeling crowded. They had valet parking at the time we arrived but you can still opt to self-park. They also have a deck where you can enjoy the view!

What a night. Hillstone is absolutely top notch for its service and aesthetic. The pineapple steak was unbelievable. Perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I don't have a single criticism of the experience. Get here.

A staple. Food is always consistent and delish. Our bartender Courtney was friendly without being intrusive. It's quiet in the actual restaurant and a little more lively at the bar. Good people watching

Offering delicious American cuisine this restaurant is a much try. We tried ample items on the menu and they all were delicious. The ribs were fall off the bone. The burger was tender and juicy and the apps were great as well. Above the food though, the service is top notch. My martini has been sitting for a while so our waitress bought over a chilled glass to replace my warm one. Couldn't recommend more.

I was recently taken to Hillstone for administrative professional's day. Growing up in the area, I've always known Hillstone to be always top notch. I will advise to make a reservation as it gets super busy during lunchtime. This restaurant seems to be quite a hit for business meetings/corporate celebrations. We learned our lesson the previous visit. There is a small area for parking but nine times out of ten I am valeting as it fills up fast. We were seated promptly, and the staff was very attentive. My manager and I started off with the grilled artichokes. These are seasonal so, catch them while you can! Super flavorful and perfect light starter. I decided to go with Ding's Crispy Chicken Sandwich. Wow did this sandwich blow me away. Everything just came together so nicely. This sandwich features a buttermilk-fried chicken breast, Swiss cheese, mayo, tomato, and a kale slaw. On the menu, it had mentioned spicy, but to my surprise, it was just more of a light kick a bit of sweet and savory mix. Actually might have been the "cherry on top" for me to complete this sandwich. I chose to get fries as my side they are shoestring, not my favorite but you can also pick a couple other sides as well. Might give those a try next time. Overall, wonderful experience as always. Definitely a favorite go to when my manager is in town.

I stopped in after the Winter Park Arts Festival, happened to snag a seat at the bar, highly recommend a reservation if you're planning on dinning here, it's always busy. I ordered a traditional salad with chicken and an apple Cobbler. Their salads are really good with the honey mustard or buttermilk dressing, the chicken though wasn't that good, no flavor. The cobbler is delicious, they don't always have it available on the menu so grab it when they do! Service was great and met a nice couple at the bar.

Just here to say, Hillstone continues to impress. Really fantastic food, beautiful restaurant, and the best service in Central Florida outside of fine dining. Highly recommend a reservation, and come early to enjoy a cocktail in the backyard... the views across the lake can't be beat. This is a great spot for a special celebration, or just a romantic meal with your loved ones. Not a great place for a large group, best for parties of 2 to 4, and for some reason they don't offer an espresso martini... Doesn't keep them from earning five stars in my book. Love this place!

I have passed by this restaurant a couple of times and decided to stop by one evening. Even with a reservation there was a little wait but all good. I started with the brussel sprouts which had flavor each bite and order the chicken for my entree intend to always get salmon so decided something different. The smoked chicken was very tender and juicy. I ordered the math potatoes because they were different with cabbage and chives very creamy and unexpectedly delicious. The service was good the waitress was very attentive and service was fast once seated. I will be returning

First time trying Hillstone and the atmosphere alone is worth the visit. The restaurant sits right on the lake in Winter Park and the view really sets the tone for the whole experience. It has that perfect mix of upscale but still relaxed, making it a great spot for a date night or dinner with friends. The food was solid and well prepared. Everything tasted fresh and you can tell they focus on quality ingredients and consistency, which I can definitely appreciate. Service was okay not bad. Our server handled everything we needed, but the experience felt a little more transactional than warm or engaging. Overall, the beautiful setting and reliable food make Hillstone a place I'd come back to, especially for the lake views.

This is not the review I wanted to be writing for one of my favorite restaurants in Orlando, but this visit did not stand up to our many positive past experiences and I sincerely hope it was a one off. My husband and I were dining on Monday the day after valentines, so they were slammed and understandably the service was much slower than usual. We ordered spinach artichoke dip and rosemary focaccia to start, both of which were superb as always. For dinner my husband ordered the burger and fries and I ordered the filet medium. By the time they came we had been there nearly and hour and a quarter, despite not having drinks and ordering starters as soon as we sat. The waiter dropped them off and then went to take orders at a large and needy table behind us. As I am nursing I cut through my filet to check the temp and was shocked to find it decidedly rare, not medium. I sat waiting for our waiter to come back but he was occupied taking orders and did not glance our way. After about 10 minutes, as I was famished, we waved over another waitress passing by and she agreed to take the steak back. She took my plate and said they would bring me an all new one. We also asked if my husband's fries could be replaced as they arrived completely cold and dry. It was quite awhile before my filet returned, and I was brought back the same meat on a new plate. That is fine but I was a bit surprise as the way she worded it when she took it made it sound like she'd be bringing a fresh one. Due to being recooked it was a bit burnt on the exterior and dry on the interior but I was happy to have it back and began to eat it. A couple bites in I noticed a short hair on my fork. This is embarrassing to admit but I was hungry so I removed it and kept eating. The next bite also had a hair, so I cut again and sure enough the third bite had another one! My hair is extremely long and my husbands is extremely short, the hairs were definitely not our own. At that point it didn't feel sanitary to eat and we asked to speak to a manager. He offered to bring us a new filet, an extra starter of focaccia in lieu of replacement sides, and to not charge us for the filet. I appreciated the effort but to my shock the filet again came out quite rare. He watched me cut it and at my hesitation asked if I would prefer it medium well instead of medium. Honestly that might be what bothered me most about the night - him implying that it WAS medium when it was definitely rare. I said it was okay as at that point we had been there for two hours and we needed to get home to our babysitter, so I decided to just reheat it at home. Overall, while we appreciate that they were extremely busy, it was not the level of cleanliness, service, or taste that we have come to expect from hillstone. We probably won't return for a while and when we do we hope things will have settled back to prior stellar experiences.

I LOVE Hillstone! This is a great date night spot (recommended to make reservations for right before sundown so that you can see the sunset). There is a beautiful, small pier that you can walk outside onto. There's seating there as well for lounging. There's also seating by the walkway to the pier, and if I'm not mistaken, I think I've seen a firepit before, I'm not sure. But all in all, it is a beautiful restaurant. The servers are personable and are good at their jobs. The food?! The food is DELICIOUS. This time, I had more than my usual (knife and fork barbeque ribs that quite literally fall off the bone). My mom and I shared the Jalepeño Queso with tortillas and the Southern Style Brussel Sprouts with lemon aioli and reggiano. The queso isn't my thing but it was yummy, and the brussel sprouts? I dislike brussel sprouts but I loved these. That lemon aioli was chefs kiss! My mom ordered the crab cakes and she let me try them. I might be getting those the next time! The drinks are good too. I usually get margaritas, but this time I had the Jackrabbit, which tasted very similar to a paloma but served up. I recommend Hillstone over and over and over again!

Delicious! Well prepared and well served food. Had a delicious meal and the service was excellent. I had the filet, which was done perfectly and he had the French dip which he thoroughly enjoyed! And the deserts were delicious! Relaxing atmosphere, we relaxed and truly enjoyed ourselves.

We haven't been to Hillstone Restaurant for quite some time because they never change their menu. So today we thought we would give them another try. Their lunch menu has a lot to be desired! Again, the same ole, same ole. Geeezzzz We love the ambiance, service is impeccable, but we are done with this restaurant. We had our martini, and now we're headed to Fleming's Steakhouse. Should have gone there to begin with. Live and learn.

The steak frites are just as magnificent as my boyfriend and I remembered. Have you ever had a food memory? Years ago, my dad made the best steak I've ever had. He passed away when I was a kid, and two summers ago, when I took my first bite of the steak here, my mouth watered... but so did my eyes. It was one of the strangest, most beautiful experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. For a moment, it felt like Dad was sitting at the table with us. To taste something so familiar, something I hadn't experienced in over twenty years, was surreal. That's not a compliment I hand out lightly. So we each had that For this visit, we started with the rock shrimp tacos, and they absolutely did not disappoint. They packed a nice little kick without overwhelming the dish, and we practically inhaled them. Of course, we had to finish the meal the same way we did last time: with churros. Somehow they were even better than we remembered. Crispy, warm, perfectly sweet, exactly the kind of dessert that makes you argue over who gets the last bite. My boyfriend ordered two Old Fashioneds, and I had two Cosmos. Both were delicious and definitely generous on the pour. I was a little concerned when we arrived for our 8:00 p.m. reservation because the place was PACKED for a Thursday night. We ended up waiting a bit past our reservation time. The hostess suggested we grab a drink at the bar, but that area was just as crowded, so we hung out in the lobby instead. The wait ended up being completely worth it because we were seated at the exact table I was secretly hoping for: the most perfect little corner window booth, straight out of a movie scene. It was the ideal setting for our last night of vacation. And then there was our server, Anton. Anton could teach a master class on waiting tables. He was efficient, funny, attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without being pretentious, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what he was doing. In a world where great service sometimes feels like a lost art, Anton was an absolute delight. The Ravenous Pig delivered once again: phenomenal food, excellent cocktails, memorable service, and one of those meals you'll still be talking about long after you've gone home. We can't wait for our next trip to Orlando and our next visit back.

The snapper collar tacos were the star of the show. Easily enough to share between two people, with fresh fish and really good homemade corn tortillas. The fish of the day was also excellent and the fresh ciabatta with garlic butter was hard to stop eating. The cauliflower appetizer missed the mark a bit for me, the pieces were a little too big and came out slightly undercooked. The chicken salad was just alright, nothing bad but nothing memorable either. Parking can be a little tough in the area, but the complimentary valet makes it much easier. I love that they have a quicker option out back with the beer garden, you can't go wrong!

However, I was surprised that the bar bites and appetizers were still fairly expensive, so the food specials didn't feel like much of a bargain. We started with the coconut shrimp, the short rib tacos, and the bread service, and all three were fantastic. The coconut shrimp was crispy and flavorful, the short rib tacos were packed with flavor, and the bread service was the perfect way to start the meal. Everything was off to such a great start that we had high expectations for our entrée. Unfortunately, the chicken-fried steak (which is actually made with beef despite the confusing name) was a huge disappointment. The meat was incredibly tough, to the point that it was difficult to chew, while the breading ended up being the most flavorful part of the dish. The broccoli tasted like plain steamed broccoli without any seasoning, and the mashed potatoes were just average and didn't add much to the plate. The entrée was disappointing enough that we asked for it to be taken back and chose not to have it remade. What made the experience more frustrating was how it was handled. Neither the owner nor a manager came by to ask what went wrong or gather any feedback. We were also offered dessert in a way that made it sound complimentary, but it ended up being added to our bill, which was confusing. One other thing that stood out was seeing the owner speak rather sharply to an employee over a white towel hanging from his pocket. It may have been a minor issue, but it could have been addressed more privately. On the other hand, every other staff member we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and happy to answer questions or offer recommendations. The restaurant itself has a beautiful atmosphere and is definitely a nice spot for a date night. I can absolutely recommend stopping by for drinks and appetizers, especially during happy hour. Unfortunately, the entrée and the way the situation was handled kept the experience from living up to the expectations set by such a strong start. While I'm glad we gave it a try, I don't see myself returning.
