Bon is located in the same plaza as H-Mart and so they have a shared parking lot or you could walk over from Redmond Town Center which is just a block away. The inside is surprisingly large with at least twenty tables, which is bigger than most Korean restaurants that I've seen on the Eastside. At 11:45am on a Saturday, my group of three had no problem getting a table. Their menu is extensive and has all the Korean food classics including seafood pancake, soondubu (stone pot tofu soup), galbi jjim (beef stew), Toppokki, bibimbap, and cold noodles (spicy and non-spicy versions). Their entrees are around $20 each, but some larger hot pot dishes (meant for 2-3 people) can be up to $70. I ordered the BULGOGI BIBIMBAP (~$24). Unfortunately they don't serve stone pot Bibimbap here, but the portions are large and beautifully presented. My dish came with plenty of fresh vegetables- pickled carrots and cucumbers, sesame bean sprouts, daikon kimchi, lettuce, and marinated black mushrooms (which I've never had in Bibimbap before but was soooo good) on top a bed of fluffy white rice! The egg was cooked perfectly over easy and the meat was marinated well too- I do wish the dish came with more meat though. They give you your typical sweet and spicy gochujang red sauce on the side as well as white vinegar and mustard sauce for added flavor. Service was fantastic and you get complimentary hot tea and ban chan (which are refillable). The ban chan included cucumber kimchi, daikon kimchi, sesame bean sprouts, kimchi, fish cake, and sesame choy. All employees were very friendly and made you feel at home. The inside is clean, but the only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is that they have an Okay health rating and not a Good or Excellent health rating. I didn't look up the exact violations, but it would be great to see an improvement in score. Overall: 4/5 for food, 5/5 for service, 3/5 for atmosphere

If you've been to their first Seattle location in Cap Hill, this location resembles that one in many ways, though this one in Redmond is noticeably much bigger and has more seating that isn't squished together. They serve katsu here with many types of meat cuts, all of which are listed on their menu with descriptions. Service overall was fast and efficient even when tables around us started filling up with hungry patrons. For our food: - The K&O karaage was all right at best. Meat inside is very tender and juicy but the aromatic toasted powder has so much salty flavor - and outer coating was also so dry - that my friend and I needed to drink water constantly while eating it. We could have skipped getting this. - We each got their jidori chicken oroshi katsu. This comes with their jidori chicken, essentially high-quality free-range chicken breast cutlet... and it was very juicy, with the Panko coating being the right kind of crunchy in all areas. We weren't fans of the grated radish sitting on top of all that katsu though, and most of the dish was their shredded cabbage as usual. The cabbage goes really well with their peanut sauce provided at our table. We both left feeling really full and overstuffed in a good way, though I would pass on getting the karaage if you're already getting one of their katsu dishes. Distance- and seating- wise, I'd come back here for their katsu whenever I don't feel like dealing with the parking situation that is Cap Hill.

Broth is warm, aromatic and comforting with the right amount of everything, and the meats inside gave it more depth. The noodles kept together easily in my bowl and did not break apart easily when picking them up with my chopsticks. I also asked for extra beef, which is $4 more; this was put inside my pho instead of being served raw on a separate plate like i've seen in other Vietnamese restaurants. My friend got their Yummy Noodles house special bun with chicken, and he loved it a lot! It was served in the same bowl size as the large pho I got, hence he couldn't finish what was in front of him entirely. The chicken was ordered beforehand, and because it is prepared fresh when ordered, it took a bit of time for the order to be complete. There is a limited amount of sauce choices, so we chose Honey Garlic ($23.99) and the classic Yangnyum ($23.99), both marked as Whole Chicken size. Also a side order of french fries ($7.99) completed the order. The fries were good: nice and hot, heavily battered potatoes, providing a nice amount of carbs to go with the fried chicken. The chicken came with pickled radish (chicken-mu) which for me is a must, and it was good. In terms of the chicken, they were all wings, which isn't what I expected: getting the breast and thigh pieces chopped into bite-size pieces, battered and sauced, is what makes it KFC, vs all wings which is more like a Buffalo wing restaurant. So we still got the expected 14 pieces, but they were all wings (flats and drums). I thought the sauces were fine (intentionally ordered mild), and the chicken did maintain a crunch (though not as shattering as the best we've had).

This is my favorite place to get Korean Fried Chicken, specifically the Honey Garlic Chicken. The chicken is always fried to perfection and maintains its crispness even while it's covered with sauce and surviving the drive home (takeout). Honey Garlic is my favorite flavor, but Yangnum is good as well. The Creamy Rice Cake is not your typical spicy, red Teokkbokki (although they do also have that). It's like they put rice cake in alfredo sauce with slices of fish cake and onions. The texture of the rice cake is superb! So tender and chewy. I order takeout via their website and food has always been ready by the specified time. There are street parking and lots available, but at times can be a pain to find an available spot.

I am not sure where the great reviews are coming from. Perhaps, like with nearby Duvall restaurants, there is not a whole lot of choices in Redmond Ridge and people just accept what they have available. However, this place is extremely overrated. The service is absolutely horrible and you will be waiting 20-30 minutes for your meal (if you dine in) even on a week night. I ordered chicken breast teriyaki and to my dismay the people behind me who ordered go their meal before me, since they ordered a larger meal. They were almost done with their meal before mine came out. Also, I asked for broccoli mixed into the teriyaki dish and agreed to pay more for it. However, the woman's English may be limited or she just doesn't care, being so overworked, and she ends up giving me broccoli on a plate. I am like, UMM?? No, I am at a teriyaki restaurant, obviously I said I want the broccoli in or with the teriyaki dish. So, iI sit there waiting for my dish, thinking it would come out, but after waiting another 15 mintues my broccoli is cold and I give it back. Then , she says she will cook up more broccoli. So, my dish comes and the broccoli they give me is raw and hardly cooked. For the $2 extra I had to pay for it, I felt ripped off. The only reason I am not giving the place 1 star is because the chicken was OK tasting. Nothing amazing ,but not horrible. I have had better rice. Nothing special about the rice and it was a bit soggy. Overall, a pretty pathetic teriyaki experience and think almost any teriyaki joint in Bellevue or Redmond would be better than this place. Between bad customer service , undercooked veggies and mediocre tasting teriyaki dish. My food was also pretty cold. I stopped through here on the way to a business meeting. I ordered the spicy chicken at 5 stars. The chicken had good flavor and good spice. I don't think that it was the best I've ever had but it was very tasty. Location is tucked into a strip mall on a busy street so I'm sure that they have a strong lunch rush. The employees were friendly and there was plenty of seating. Also, they were running a special that you get a free drink with a purchase of a meal which I thought was a good deal. I gave the Kung Pao Chicken a shot, and to be honest, it was quite disappointing. This dish hardly resembled traditional Kung Pao Chicken, and the overwhelming saltiness was rather off-putting. I told him I didn't order one and he said that it comes complementary with every meal? WHAT?!?! No one does this!
