    Fish & Chicken Combo

One of the best quick eatery spots I've been too. The food was amazing and the service was quick. Great atmosphere and great people. Food is made to order and fresh. Reasonable prices, probably one of the best priced spots in Bmore.

Pretty good. I'm from Chicago, so I did put Harold's mild sauce on my fries and chicken.

Being a Breast Man I'm very disappointed today. The service is still good but today I ordered a Chicken Breast for lunch, who doesn't like breasts for lunch. I was very disappointed. The chicken breast didnt really look like a breast, it had decent flavor but it lacked crunch and meat, there was more uneatable chicken and bone that white meat. But the Cole slaw was good.

This is a relatively small Hip-Hop Fish & Chicken location. I was immediately greeted once, I entered this location of Hip-Hop chicken. I am a big fan of Hip-Hop Chicken. I am looking forward to visiting this location again in the near future.

This Hip Hop Fish & Chicken is a corner/carry-out store, located on Eutaw. Parking is a bit of a pain, but there are some 3-minute 'loading' areas where you can park to get your order. I highly suggest in calling ahead so that your order will be ready for you, as lines tend to get long! The hubs and I stopped by here after attending an event in the area; I got my original Half and Half, in which you are given the cup of the size that you ordered - there is actually a Half and Half dispenser by the soda machine. I loved that the dispenser keeps the drink super cold, so those who are not fans of adding much ice to their drink, the drink will still be cold and refreshing! I've always been a fan of their Half and Half, as it has that nice HHF&C tang! You can refill as much as you want and go on your merry way. There aren't any seatings inside, as it's only a carry-out joint. Staff are on the quieter side, but nice and efficient. :D +Half and Half :D +carry-out only +very limited street parking (some 3-minute loading areas available)

Come after lunch rush this location stays packed but for good reasons. Need a snack, need comfort food, got the munchies? This is the place to be, where can you get 2 yes 2 chicken breast, fries, and cole slaw for 5.49? Its something about that lemon pepper seasoning they use that will have you out in your PJ's looking like a fiend. Also try the fish and corn fritters.

I was in the mood for fattening food after ending a 3-week cleanse and I'm so glad I picked this place. Nothing fancy, just got 3 wings and french fries. Very cheap with a nice portion size. Wished I asked for extra seasoning on the chicken but I was cooked well and very flavorful. My favorite part had to be the fries though. Golden, crispy exteriors with creamy potato-y interior. Smh, I might have to swing by and get some today cuz now I'm reminiscing. They take cards as payment and the wait wasn't that long. Parking sucks so thats why I couldn't give it 5 stars.Try it out!

Loved the atmosphere. Expect to put down at least $30 which was worth it. Fried Chesapeake Oysters with the dent corn hominy was excellent. I wish I did not have to share this appetizer. The Block Island Scallops over the Narragansett succotash was perfect. The scallops nicely seared, and the succotash was excellent and did well with the scallops. The Eastern Shore Crab Cake was large and perfect. Nicely prepared. The zucchini that came with it was also done well and not overly seasoned. The potato salad was a surprise. Not expecting much, it was one of my favorites, and I wish I could have a plate full of it to chow down. Make it a day and visit this establishment and enjoy the day. When I am Baltimore again, I'll consider stopping by for a nice meal.

I've been giving out a lot of 5 stars recently, but this is a place that really deserves it. It's a must visit. It'd been many moons since I had escargot, so I got it. Despite one cooked snail being basically impossible to scrape out and my fine motor dexterity isn't great, it was delightful. My wife loved her seafood stew. Our shared side of the grilled Zucchini (definitely enough to share) was also a highlight. We've been raving about our fried clam sandwich and lobster roll since. Both were amazing; my wife said it was the best lobster roll she's had (we've never been to maine or anywhere known for lobster). The dessert passion fruit pie was a great way to end, also shared, but the crust was a little too thick and the dollop on top did kind of over power the curd. The birthday sprinkles (it wasnt either of our birthdays) were cute. We will be back. Especially to try the raw bar (We're pregnant and didnt want to risk it).

The crab cake absolutely lived up to its reputation--packed with large, sweet pieces of crab meat and very little filler. It was fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly light. I finally understood why Maryland is so proud of its crab cakes. The Maryland Crab Soup was hearty and comforting, with plenty of vegetables and crab flavor. The Seafood Combo was generous and perfect for sharing after a long day of exploring the city. The restaurant was busy but well organized, and the staff were friendly and efficient. The atmosphere felt lively without being overwhelming. After lunch, we took a short walk to Fells Point and spent the afternoon exploring the neighborhood, which made it a perfect Baltimore experience. If you're visiting Baltimore for the first time and want to try an authentic Maryland crab cake, this is definitely a place worth visiting.

This was my second time at the restaurant; the first experience was fantastic with top-notch service. I later discovered that our previous server was the owner's son, which explains why the service was top-tier. This time, we were greeted warmly by the host, which was a nice touch. However, after being seated, I waited 15-20 minutes while tables that arrived after us were served. When I finally got the attention of our server, Pedro, he took our order promptly, and I enjoyed my meal, especially the cream of crab soup, even if it was a bit on the warm side. My only issue was feeling rushed, as it seemed like Pedro focused more on his other tables. I had really bragged about this place to my partner, so I was hoping for a similar experience to my first visit.

Worth the hype. On my last visit last month, I went and got a Catfish Filet and Medium Tea. The Catfish is what took this review from a 5 Star to 4. I was very unsatisfied and disappointed in the Catfish. The breading was icky. Too much, not tasty, and funny looking. The tea was ok. I will skip that as well on my next visit. I will try the Shrimp Platter upon my next visit. I would like to end this review on a better note. Customer Service was very pleasant and the atmosphere, seats, and the tabletops were clean. I absolutely loved it, from the prompt service to the ambience to the local, delicious food, we had such a lovely dinner. I came for oysters and I got them. First we had a dozen raw oysters from the True Chesapeake farm, which were so fresh and flavorful. My favorite hands down was the Chunky Dunker oyster, gigantic and meaty. Then we had broiled oysters, you know, for some variety! They were fantastic. Dinner was fabulous, I had the scallops and my husband had the fish. We ate every single bite, and all but licked the plates clean. To finish, we had dessert cocktails - the Grasshopper tastes like an Andes mint - and we happily headed home with full bellies. I can't wait to come back and try more of the local seafood on offer!

Great meal at great restaurant and I look forward to coming back soon to try some other food here…read more A couple reasons for this not being a five-star review, first of all somewhere along the way our server left and another server took her place and we're not sure why but once the other server took over which luckily was right before dessert things slowed down to a snail's pace. It took forever for us to get our desserts and then the same to get our check. Not really sure why our server disappeared halfway through the meal, but she did. Secondly, I ordered a catfish sandwich which was delicious but I ordered it with no tartar sauce and our server said that that's the way she put it down but the kitchen didn't prepare it that way they prepared it with tartar sauce slathered all over the sandwich which I promptly sent back. Not being a big oyster fan, I did get a couple of raw oysters and actually really enjoyed them and will be back to have more in the future. My mom had the snakehead which was very delicious but also a very small portion for the amount that we paid. The website indicated that for those who are gluten-free, like my mom, the menu had stars on them but the menu that we had did not nor was there a menu with stars indicating what is or could be made gluten free. The ambiance of the restaurant was really nice. We chose to eat outside because it wasn't too hot and we could sit under cover and enjoy the beautiful June weather. It was nice inside but it didn't look to be a very large area inside and could have been very noisy with the high ceilings. Not sure willl try in the future and report at that time. There are many things on the menu that I want to try so I will definitely be back. If you love oysters come here and they won't disappoint. I definitely recommend giving this place a try. Aside from the two issues that I experienced, they were minor in the scheme of things and I will definitely be back.

I also ordered the happy hour tacos (oyster and catfish). They were okay, nothing to run home about. Since the restaurant clearly has some elevated sauces, I would love to see those same sauces incorporated into the tacos to make them stand out more. Otherwise, they feel pretty standard.
