Stumbled upon this food truck on East 11th Street when we were nearby for another event. The area is quite spacious with a couple of food trucks and stage for live music bands. It's a very Austin vibe, true to its core. We got the loaded fries with plant based fried chicken, not the healthiest food but it was yummy! There was a jazz band playing on stage making it a very pleasant evening. There's a few tables and chairs available for seating and parking can be found on the nearby streets.

Gyros were the delicious. Meat was marinated just right. Great venue. Comedy show, jazz n blues. This food truck was surrounded by a stage. Service was superb. Highly recommend.

We happened upon this food truck today when trying to go to another one that was closed and we are sure happy that we did! This food truck is positioned in the back of a courtyard with other food trucks, and stage for music where they have reggae first and third Wednesday of the month. We ordered the Texan loaded bratwurst and the Americano loaded fries. Loaded is an understatement! There are so many wonderful flavors all mixed together. It's amazing! The service was so good and nice atmosphere to take it all in. I definitely will be coming back to try other items on the menu and they have a sister frozen ice stand where you get a discount.

Stopped by here on a whim when the other place we were trying to go had a long line and it was a pleasant welcoming surprise!!! As one of many food trucks in the area, I'm sure the competition is tough and they seem relatively new but think people need to give this place a shot. My man Malcom was the best. He was clear in explaining the menu, breaking down what each item would be and the best sellers along with matching something to my hunger level. I got the Hipster jalapeno-cheese bratwurst combo with fries and man the food looked beautiful for one, which isn't common from food trucks and the fries were well seasoned and fried perfectly. I would recommend this place for sure and it has great vegan/vegetarian alternatives so friendly for all! And if the service weren't already amazing, Malcom brought out the food to me and along with a rice crispy treat. What a guy! Keep up the good work dude!

I was in the neighborhood and decided to give this a try - I'm so glad I did! I ordered a beef Crunchwrap meal and it is the best. I personally love bbq sauce with fries so I was amazed when I received that without asking, typically it's ketchup. I have not had a Crunchwrap from Tacobell but I know rather have this crunch! Definitely will stop by again and try other items :)

Got the Italian ice. Perfect level of sweet (rare for Austin mango-flavored stuff), and the service was top notch.

I had the best bratwurst I've had in a long time. It was cooked perfectly, and the bread it was served on was a 10/10. It was a soft bun, but almost more like a slice of bread -- different, but absolutely fantastic. Add the sauerkraut and mustard, and the flavors came together perfectly. I paired it with a non-alcoholic beer, which was also great. The location couldn't be better if you're headed to a University of Texas at Austin football game or an event at the Moody Center. It's right across from both, making it a perfect pre-game or pre-concert spot. Outdoor patio was great to sit and relax as well. Definitely coming back -- the food alone is worth it!

It's really cool at those times, although the amount of people during game day can be overwhelming. I've been a number of times over the years. The food has always been okay, not great. This last time, I ordered the pastrami sandwich, no aioli. The sandwich came dry. Thankfully I had asked for some mustard for my waffle fries. It was supposed to be on a brioche bun, or maybe I mistook the two pieces of white bread I got as something less than they were. It's supposed to have brie on it, and maybe the heat evaporated it all into the pastrami? The house made pastrami itself was very good. My daughter had the green chile and cheddar sausage and commented that the bun was pretty much a piece of Texas toast. We did have an excellent pretzel and the green goddess salad was capable of being split among three of us. These things make me think I just picked the wrong thing. For all the times I've been to Scholz's, I haven't picked the right thing that makes me excited to go back to eat.

I tried the Duck Bacon Fig Sausage and when I first saw it on the menu I thought that the combination was crazy.. so rightfully so I ordered it. One bite in and it did not disappoint! The combination of the smokey bacon, with the sweetness of the fig, and the savory toughness of the duck all complimented each other so well! I'm usually one to have a sweet treat after having a savory entree, but this sausage was so in between the two that it satisfied my palate. I went on a Saturday afternoon thing 2:30 and the vibe was chill people talking and eating. The live band hadn't started but they were setting up as we were leaving!

We ordered half of traditional langos and other half for avocado. so it was half and half! Additionally, we ordered potato's and it was total around $25. Quite the pricey but the volume was a lot. They served us within 5-10 mins. Frankly speaking, it was too greasy and too salty for us to eat them. We had no clue how on earth they keep 5 stars with that amount of salt and greasiness We really love the lady in the food truck as she was so friendly and sweet but the foods were not something we could recommend to others to eat at all. Flavors were good but just too much salt and oil plus garlic on avocado langos was extra strong! We love to give 5 stars like other people but we'd like them to re-evaluate the amount of salt and grease again before they serve. Hope to see improvement if we happen to get it again. 1/5 greasiness 1/5 saltiness 1/5 price for value 2/5 garlic amount 5/5 friendliness Cheers
