I have been to Hissho Sushi numerous times but this is the first time I have checked in and given them a review. When in the Nashville airport, Hissho is my go to place for a snack or meal: sushi boxes, make your own poke and rice bowls. Prepared fresh with fresh ingredients, the staff is quick. I really enjoy taking a poke bowl to go as an inflight lunch.

Delish, got a pre made chef special roll it was like $15 so not too bad for airport prices

A disappointing airport meal. I wanted sushi but when I asked for sushi they said they were out of sushi rice. So I ordered a noodle bowl. I had to wait a little for my food to be made. Some of the noodles were hard and not very good. But the salmon was good with the taste. I ordered some spring rolls as well and they were not cooked enough. They were soggy and not crispy. In total my food was ~$20. It was filling but not great. Overall I would not come back here.

Delicious! I met the Chef, Michael, and he was so helpful in navigating my allergy with what he had available. A creative chef is the best! Poke bowl made with fresh and tasty ingredients.

The location offers poke bowls, sushi rolls, gyoza(veggie or meat) they offer vegetarian food. It's quick and easy and efficient. The sushi was super fresh!

This is a great little sushi bar inside terminal C in the Nashville airport. I stopped in to get a quick bite before heading out on a four hour flight to California the other day. The service was great, and the rolls that I had were pretty tasty and fresh too. I really enjoyed myself, even though I was thinking about even better sushi and sashimi I'd be having In California later that night. All in all, if you have a few minutes to spare and like sushi or are just wanting a cool place to hang out and grab a drink while you're waiting for your plane. Go check this place out. I really think you'll like it!

Airport sushi, for me is a complete gamble - perhaps a half step above gas station or a Walgreens corner sushi. Great potential to be a hot mess and you're never sure what you'll get ... and crossing your fingers if you'll be neck deep in your porcelain throne later that day. This particular corner impressed me extensively enough with the quality and service I wanted to write you, hopefully a future patron, a little blurb to encourage you to consider your dinner there (@ BNA). For me, Nashville Airport is MUCH smaller than expected. This equals limited food choices. I TRY to dump my hard earned pennies into something I have not heard of - I wasn't in the mood for the infamous 'hot (fried) chicken' - cue random sushi joint. Prices didn't break my bank, but were definitely inflated airport prices. However, it was fresh and my waitress (I think the ONLY waitstaff) Aliea was friendly and helpful. She assisted me getting near a outlet to plug in my devices, gave food suggestions and delivered the tab quickly - all without even a slightest of eye-roll at me. Take a look at the menu pictures and actual pix of what I got. Everything is served in plastic plates -- fingers crossed they recycle!

    That's gross....if I hadn't looked in the sushi roll....

Clearly this is a hair but the lady that sold this at tht airport tried to tell me it was garlic hairs. Who puts garlic in sushi? Very dismissive of helping me get a refund or a new order. Never again. GROSS 9-18-2020 Terminal D CLT airport

Not bad for airport sushi. The service was not very fast because the button to request service on the table was broken, so be on the lookout for that, especially if you're running late! Both the Grand Finale roll and Rising Sun roll were 3/5. Both rolls tasted kind of similar, surprisingly, so ordering either one is fine. Also, 1.5 rolls was enough to make me feel full.

Airport Sushi so don't get too excited! Thankfully this place seemed fresh enough and clean to make a stop. Prices aren't horrible, but yet what can you expect from an airport. Overall, the avocado roll plus a side cup of the spicy Chipotle sauce was a great value appetizer to check out. Service was fairly good for all seats being taken up and only 1 server. Bonus points for one of the sushi Chefs listening to my ask for another side of Spicy Mayo and him bypassing the server to get it done asap and hand it to me! TL:DR: fast casual sushi in an airport. Decent quality and prices. Your best bet if you want sushi in the land of hot chicken at the airport.

I really enjoyed the sushi here, but service was slow. I sat at the counter for about 10 minutes with no one greeting me or anything. I decided to move to a table, and I still had to flag someone down. Once I got a waiter, all was good, but the place was not that busy and they had wait staff trying to service customers on either side of the sushi bar. For an airport stop, the food was good. I would eat here again, just not if I was in a hurry.

Is this the best sushi in the world? No. Is it good sushi and good quality for what you can expect in an airport where they have limited delivery hours, issues with knives and an "I need it now" mentality for the customers? Then yes. Eat in or take it to go, they will make it to order and they also have a dozen or so different varieties already packaged to go, complete with ginger and soy. Just remember to grab your chop sticks. I got a salmon packet which was quite good, considering. It tasted fresh, the rice was good quality and it had all I needed to enjoy it on the plane.

We started off with a round of champagne and a bottle of red wine for dinner. We tried a variety of dishes since we were told that the set up is family style: Hamachi Crudo: 10/10 one of the best I've ever had! Super fresh and the sauce paired well with it. Bluefin Tune Crudo: 8/10 It was really fresh and well prepared, but I've had better elsewhere. I typically prefer bluefin tuna sashimi or nigiri anyway. Tuna Crispy Rice: 9/10 This was such a fun and delicious way to eat spicy tuna! All of the seasonings made it packed full of flavor. Tomahawk Ribeye 9/10: This was insanely tender, and well seasoned. Tip: ask for lemon wedges to sprinkle some lemon juice on it--thank me later. Broccolini 8/10: well prepared, and I loved the lemongrass garlic chili that topped it East Side Shrimp 7/10: These were well cooked and well seasoned. Loved the salad placed underneath it. Wagyu Tartare 8/10: It was well prepared and loved that it's paired with nori and rice. Wished it had a bit more punch to it in terms of seasoning. Crab Fried Rice 8/10: this was delicious but still say it's a solid 8. Beautifully prepared! Korean Hot Wings 2.5/10: I could tell that it was well cooked, but it was insanely salty; it was practically inedible. Hurricane Fries 9/10: These were so delicious! You are immediately hit with the smell of truffle, which made my mouth water. Packed with flavor! Brussels 7/10: These were well roasted, but the sauce was a tad too sweet for my liking. I highly recommend trying this place out!

By the bar we got to see some of the dishes being made. Great date night spot. Limited parking. This is a tapas spot and our serve did a good job recommending how many dishes to get. The only reason Noko is not getting 5 stars is because the server said that they would time out the dishes for us, so it was best to place our entire order all at once. However, we got 3 dishes and then it took about 30 minutes for other two to come out. Maybe we were eating too fast but felt like we were waiting a while for our food. The food itself was absolutely delicious. There was nothing we ordered that I did not like. Some favorites include the burnt ends lettuce wraps and Korean chicken wings. The Sando, shrimp and tuna crispy rice was also spectacular. The tuna was so flavorful and refreshing on the tuna crispy rice. The sauce of the east side shrimp really makes the dish. I'm not a huge shrimp person but this was really good. This is a must go to spot in Nashville and would definitely want to come back.

Our waiter was very helpful and attentive during the entire dining experience. The food was very good from the appetizers to the sushi rolls. Fish was very fresh and the wines were good. The only shock was the tax rate which couldn't be explained by the waiter other than to say that's how they maintain the roads. On a bill of exactly $100, our taxes added $14.09 to the total. It's definitely not the restaurants' fault, but TN or Nashville specifically needs to address the 14.1% taxes on a restaurant bill. It's egregious, but again I can't fault the restaurant hence the 5 star review.

I opted for the Shibuyu Nights, which had a slight coffee note on top of the whisky and bourbon. At the prescribed time, you are led into the omekase and the experience begins. Cue fanfare music now.
