Best massage spot I have found within 30 minutes of downtown LA, and I tried a LOT. I've probably had over 40+ massages here now, that alone should tell you something. Every therapist is a master of their art and knows how to detect and unravel even the most difficult of knots, and they are so well staffed that you can almost always depend on getting an appointment even last minute (I rarely book more than a couple hours in advance, if that). Their rooms are comfortable, with heated tables and soothing music. The hot stone massage is particularly excellent and always sends me to another universe. Highly recommend, you won't regret it! The *only* point of improvement I would say is the head rests - the way they force your head to be lifted off the table is super uncomfortable, especially during upper back work - I would love to see tables with the typical U-shaped head rests extending from the end of the table. read more

Came in on a Saturday morning for a couples massage. I called in during the week and made an appointment, great communication with Amy. There is plenty of free parking along the street easy to spot ,the spa is located right on the corner. We came in during the covid pandemic so as soon as we walked we got hand sanitizer and then brought right back into the room. We wore our masks the entire time and so do the staff. Honestly is was not a problem breathing or relaxing. The room was clean, the linens smelled great, soothing ambience with relaxing music. Our massage tables were right next to each and we each got our own masseur. I got a deep tissue massage and my fiancé got a Swedish massage. We came in for foot massages on Sunday night and we were blown away! They have private rooms set up with beautiful music playing and sounds of water flowing l. Super relaxing and really elevated the experience for us! Wendy and David did our massages and we were equally impressed with the massage! I have received many massages and Wendy was the best! As someone who has suffered from a shoulder I injury I'm always hesitant to allow someone to massage me there but Wendy was gentle and made sure to check in with me about the level of pressure she was applying. I had the best massage ever courtesy of Julia! I walk 9+ miles a day and do weightlifting, so I experience a lot of tightness in the muscles throughout my body. Got a European Facial with a 30 min masaage. They both were good. I wished the lady had used slower strokes while doing the massage and facial. It would have been more relaxing. She was kind of rough. The spa is clean, but the downstairs room needs to be cleaned better. It had a moldy smell to it when I walked in. Also, it would be better if the staff didn't warm their food in the microwave while the downstairs room is being used. I could smell the food. It was not pleasant to smell that while I was getting a facial. When I went to pay, the woman who collected my money had a mouthful of food when she told me how much I had to pay. It was kind of gross. I still think it was a good service and I would return. If the staff improve on these little things, it will be even better. read more

We LOVE HM Warm Spa. We've been coming here since (at least) 2014/2015. We always do the Couples 1-Hour massage, and it's glorious. The massage therapists are very good. They listen to the pressure that you want, and they have good, even pressure. They know when and where to push a little harder, too. The facilities are so wonderful. You're welcomed by beautiful Green Street, and the spa has a gorgeous archway. The rooms have heated tables, showers, and nice comfy towels/blankets. Amy, the receptionist, has worked here as long as we've been coming. She's so nice and always makes sure we're connected with great massage therapists and comfy rooms. She's so wonderful! Today we had Linda and Mandy as our therapists, and we both agreed that they were great at listening to what we wanted (less pressure/focus on shoulders/hot stones/etc). My partner and I called to get a couples massage. They asked what time we wanted to schedule. They immediately scheduled us for that time and got us in the door and in the room immediately upon arrival. The service was very quick. Payment can be made by Zelle or through cash. Reminders and instructions were provided via text. My only criticisms are that the room was a little chilly and I would have preferred to have either a warming pad on the massage table or a warmer temperature in the room or heavier blanket or sheet. The couples room we had was a bit on the small side and they kept having to move the tables themselves as they did the massage. So that was a bit disruptive. read more

Really enjoyed the full body massage! I asked for medium pressure and it was good (really worked my muscles). Would recommend! Please keep in mind that it is a full body massage and they do massage the buttocks area (side) and they do lower your underwear a bit (not all the way down) to get your lower back. My husband and I came in for a date night/couple's massage tonight, as it was way overdue. I came in with major upper shoulder and neck pain. So much so, I couldn't even turn my face to the left or right due to the pain and muscle tension...Well, here I am -- post massage by Jeny and let me tell you, I feel like a new woman. Quality for both combos and couple massages. We've been here twice. I wish it's longer but the worker's efforts in hitting the knots were on point. With option if you want soft, medium or hard pressure. We've been to couple of places that's cheaper, but sometimes cheaper doesn't mean better. It's good to have service where people knows what their doing. Also the ambiance is very relaxing. The only thing u will hear is a waterfall background and soft tune music playing. Other places are too loud to a point where workers make full blown conversations. Aimee was pleasant receptionist and attentive with text updates regarding your appointment. It's clean, comfortable, and hot stones are included in the 60 minute massage for only $65! I have lots of lower back achiness and they are always able to take care of the knots. I found the "extreme value massage" to be rather misleading (It costs $25), and that led me to be thinking that this was a full body massage because it mentioned that it is including neck, shoulder, back, etc. by showing you a picture of a foot! Let me be clear: this is a "foot massage" (I can totally get a foot massage else where for $20! How "extreme value" could this be)! I personally did not have a pleasant experience here. There are 4 stations for foot massage close to the entrance by the reception area. The receptionist separated my friend and I, which was ok as we were not planning to talk anyways. As i was getting a massage, people were walking around and talking loudly at the reception area, so I was not able to really relax. The water that I soaked my feet in was cold, and the lady massaged me was like literally "touching" me instead of massaging me. She did not check-in with me about the pressure, and I am not sure if she did this because she thought that I was asleep. I specially requested for her because I saw other Yelpers recommended her. Feeling disappointed. On the other hand, the lady who massaged my friend was sick as she seemed to have a runny nose. My friend got sick (cold) on the next day. I do not feel comfortable coming back again, especially during COVID. *P.S. My back was still hurting, and leg muscles were still tense after the massage. Surprised my boyfriend with a couples massage for Valentines Day. HM Spa was very accommodating seeing as I do not live in California. They made it very easy to book over the phone and got everything set up so that it was a seamless transition once we got there. We were assisted right away and escorted to our room. I really enjoyed that the place was quiet and there wasn't a lot of talking during the massage. The pressure they used for the massage was just right throughout your body... my only suggestion, they put some kind of oil or lotion on your face during the massage without telling you beforehand. I didn't want to mess up the relaxation I had during the massage so I just let them, but after I did break out all over my face due to a skin sensitivity. My only suggestion.. maybe asking beforehand if the face is an okay area to put oils on seeing as there are people with face sensitivities, or leaving it out all together. Besides that 5/5 stars .. you do need to bring cash to tip but can pay for service with card. read more

I wanted to pamper myself today so I called to make an appointment. No one answered but u received a call back instantly from who I am assuming is the owner. Her name is Amy. She accommodated my time and after the call sent me a text message with more information. It was my first time going to this place so all the information was super helpful and appreciated. Once I got there I was shocked. I've lived in Pasadena off and on since I was a kid and have never seen this place. It is so clean, massive, has a nice vibe and tranquility to it, and everyone was very nice. I had Yo Yo as my masseuse. She was amazing. Always checking to make sure the pressure was good. When I was cold she put on a heater. the pressure was perfect. Super attentive. Super patient. Really took her time. I work out everyday so my muscles get super tight and tense. I left feeling like I a new person! I went in for a 60 minutes and ended up staying for 90 because I was enjoying myself so much. I didn't want it to end! This will definitely be my new go-to place and Yo Yo will be my go to person! The only thing that did bother me was that towards the end I could see the owner or manager (Amy) peaking through the door and stayed there for a while. My time wasn't complete (I had about 5 minutes left tops) and that felt weird since Yo Yo was still finishing up with me.l (massing my feet) I understand if there's a customer waiting but I'm also a paying customer so it just felt rushed at the end. Other than that it was great. Note: bring cash. They do not accept card. Everything much be in cash. I felt super bad because I pulled cash out for a 60 minute massage which is 65 and intended on giving the 100 I pulled out to pay for massage and a great tip. But I ended up upgrading to the 90 minute massage during the massage which is 95 so the tip was only 5. But next time I'll be prepared because I definitely want the 90 minute massage. They do have an atm there but I don't typically trust in visit ATMs. Thanks so much for a great experience. I will be making this a monthly trip! Used to love going to this place and took a few friends but the last time I was there wasn't great. My aunt treated me to a bday massage and the massage was great but the noise level is ridiculous. During my massage it sounded like someone was tap dancing above us. I could hear every conversation from the receptionist/owner as people came in to buy gift certificates and massages. She was very nice and I know I because I could hear during my massage. As I walked out I was about to ask how much and the loud owner/receptionist shushed me and asked me to keep it down because there were massages in session! I couldn't believe her lol. I've been to HM Warm Spa a handful of times now and I love it!! My friend introduced me to the place right after covid started slowing down and we've been going ever since. You walk into the lobby with peaceful music playing in the background, get greeted by the wonderful front desk lady, and then quickly taken to your room to get your massage. I get the 60 min full body deep tissue massage and its worth every penny. They also have a hot stone massage that which is literally incredible. I don't have any specific or favorite masseuse because everyone I've had has been profession and an expert at the craft. They're almost always available for an appointment and are very accommodating.
