Not your super traditional Hawaiian poke but definitely combines familiar flavors but also includes some Asian fusion. The bowls are massive. The wife and I split one and is plenty of food for two. We picked a poke bowl with two flavors and choose a "loaded option". The "loaded options" are preset toppings at a fixed price. We choose the tropical style, which includes: seaweed salad, cucumbers, surimi crab (imitation), wonton chips, avocado, masago, furikake, spicy mayo, and eel sauce. The two poke flavors we choose was the spicy salmon (spicy mayo) and furikake bomb ahi (think sesame oil ish based). Overall great food. Staff is friendly and helpful. It comes out fast. Interior is very modest and is a pick up and quick eat spot. Exactly what you come here for. They also have other things on the menu like musubis, sashimi's, fried dishes, to try. If we're ever back in the area we'll make sure to stop by.

The staff was very friendly, the coffee was great, and the croissant was delicious. The atmosphere is also really nice. Since it's located on a university campus, there are a lot of busy students around, but it doesn't take away from the experience at all, you can still relax and enjoy your coffee and food. Chicken Cutlet with meat sauce over rice: if we are getting at least two items, this is for sure one of them. Excellent flavor on the peppery batter on the juicy chicken and the meat sauce and pickled veggies are an excellent combination. 3. Zha Jiang Mien: First time trying it. Two of us liked it. May get, again, next time. We usually prefer the blacker Korean style sauce, but this was pretty good, too. 4. Beef roll: think thinly sliced beef with fresh veggies rolled up in an onion pancake. Now, the one thing that they don't do like the old truck used to do is load up with sauce. The old truck used to drown your bowl in sauce whereas now they're a little more conservative, but I imagine you could ask for more if you wanted more. The bowl itself tasted good. It's not going to be the best Halal food that you'll get in Davis or anywhere else in the world, but it tasted nostalgic, and I really enjoyed the whole thing. My husband who is currently on campus more than I am noted that the storefront gives you more food than the food truck at the silo. He also said that the food tasted better here.
