Hoagies has a variety of options and they are all pretty solid choices. I went on a busy Saturday afternoon and with that being said we still got our order in a timely manner. The environment is nice with options to seat inside or out. The only thing is that there is only one door in and out so after placing your order you have to squeeze past people who are still waiting in line. I was really pleasantly surprised, I randomly came across this place on Yelp and decided to give it a shot, I was craving breakfast burritos but this seemed close enough so I decided to try it and I'm so glad I did. I got the Pismo wrap and it was freaking delicious! came with a side of fries and the wrap itself was pretty big as well! the tri tip was cooked perfectly and paired with the bbq sauce very well. I really enjoyed it! I just wish the fries were a bit... bigger if that makes sense? The little "hole in the wall" persona doesn't do it justice...this place has high quality everything! The staff are super friendly and attentive. The inside & outside are wonderfully clean. Absolutely a must must go!!! My Fiance had told me about hoagies breakfast burritos, so I was already excited to go. We are from out of town, so this was a highly talked about place and I was blown away! We got the steak breakfast burrito with tater tots and it was unreal. Loaded with steak, loaded with eggs, loaded with everything! They also gave us plenty of salsa. We loved it so much, I have to admit we came back the same day for dinner. This time, my Fiance got the pismo, which was incredible just as we had heard. I got the shrimp tacos, which were so good and flavorful. They also had so many shrimps in each taco, so they do their portions right! We also split the chili, which had steak in it as well. Safe to say, we love this place. The place is small, the restroom is very clean, and you can get sit outside. The wait time isn't so bad from when you place your order to when you get your food. The reason I came to this location is because it is said my city will be opening a Hoogies, and I wanted to try the real thing before they make a copy. The fries I must say are perfectly seasoned, and as I've said before, I love a well seasoned order of french fries. The meat isn't anything special. It is a little tough, but the pastrami is the worst. It was tough and burnt. The Stanley looked nothing like the photo on Yelp, and it was full of mustard. The Pastrami, too, was also packed with mustard flavor even though I asked for EASY MUSTARD. The Surf N Turf was a good even though it had underwhelming meat. STAY AWAY FROM THE CLAM CHOWDER!!! I'm so sorry to have to do this, but it's HORRIBLE!!! Idk what they were thinking when they decided to let that batch hit the floor. It was so watered down, and it didn't combine itself together. The clam in the chowder was tough. The flavor itself was just awful. I got up, and I went inside and asked for a full refund on the chowders. I was kinda shocked when the waitress rolled her eyes and handed me my receipt with the refund, I mean, it's not like she cooked it, so her attitude was uncalled for. Please tell me why they serve Fish N chips WITHOUT TARTER SAUCE, but they give you cocktail sauce. Just so you know, they charge for the Bqq Sauce, and for the ranch and the cocktail sauce sucks. Yooooo!!!!! This place is amazing!! Popular so there is a line, but they are pretty quick and worth the wait. Wow, look no further, the flavors are there!! I had the Stanley and the tri tip and pastrami in my sandwich were so juicy and tender, not chewy or tough at all. Sandwich was packed with flavor! Absolutely delicious!! Great local spot for breakfast and lunch. There is usually a line out the door but don't let that discourage you, it's only because there isn't much room to line up inside! My husband got a breakfast sandwich and I had the Cali burrito. The highlight on both was the bacon, and when we left we found out why, because they were smoking it outside. My only gripe was that my burrito had very little avocado and the stuff inside wasn't distributed well, so I had to keep undoing it and rewrapping it. The salsa was really great though! Hoagies is located next to Esteem Surf Co. We stop by here to eat every time we visit Pismo. Hoagies has a beach/surfer vibe on the outside and inside. The restaurant itself is not very large, but they have a decent amount of outdoor seating. The staff does not come out and take your order, so you will need to walk inside to place an order. Hoagies is known for their Pismo wrap and I have to agree with that statement. The first time I visited, I tried their southwest chicken wrap. Wow, it looks and tastes great. Everything combined with their sauce gives great flavor with every bite. I also tried the dirty buffalo, which is their buffalo chicken. Man, I think this is the new favorite, but it's always hard to decide between the two. I would also recommend the Pismo wrap if you're not into chicken. Make sure to get BBQ sauce in it, because it can be a little dry without it. The wrap is a large portion and served with a moderate portion of curly fries. I can't speak for the other items on their menu as their wraps are a staple food that I order every time. If you find yourself in Pismo, be sure to stop by Hoagies. read more

The place was hopping but this is opening week so that was to be expected. I'm glad to see so many people showing support for this new business. They were adequately staffed for an opening weekend and we were able to quickly sit at the bar and order. The gentleman who served us was friendly and noticed when our drinks were empty but was pretty busy most of the time so if you're hoping to have a bartender who listens to your woes give it a few months. They have about 16 beers on tap (which they do sell by the pitcher) as well as various bottled beers. They offer a small selection of wine too. It looks like they have a beer and wine license but they attempt various cocktails with the Han brand of vodka, rum, and tequila. The menu offers a varied selection of sandwiches and wraps, as well as the typical burger. They do carry fish and chips and a nice clam chowder( according to the friends we met at the bar). I thoroughly enjoyed my burger although it's nothing I would write home about. My husband said his fish tacos were pretty good. He is down playing it now as I ask him but as he devoured the first taco he said they were "fu**ing delicious". He was quite hungry before we arrived. I had the ace cider and he enjoyed a pizza port. Over all the ambiance was hip and fresh. It's a typical tap room with a welcoming atmosphere. Families were enjoying the patio and music. It's pretty pricy for what they offer, but I guess you pay a boardwalk premium. Lines are long, seating inside is cramped. I loved my order as did a few of us, others were disappointed.
