Ordered the Perch Reuben sandwich. Absolutely delicious. Key lime pie for dessert was great. Highly recommend!

Great service all around. Super friendly and food came out quickly. A little pricey, but the portions are generous. It's not often I get a 1/2 sandwich & soup and bring home leftovers. The stew was amazing. The Cuban panini was tasty, too, but not very much meat. Mushroom burger was awesome. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Kind of dark, but cozy, inside with fun and unique decorations.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Been coming in for years and will continue to do so!

Our first time trying this spot and their fried perch was the first time I've ever had perch. Was wonderful and crisp. I got it with their recommended fries and coleslaw as a side and it was a solid meal. Their traditional wings were delicious! Although it was sauced it was crispy when we got it! The blue cheese dipping sauce was a delightful pairing. The service was quick and the servers and hostesses were very nice! The ambiance of the restaurant was very nice as well. We went on a Sunday around noon and we were served pretty quick with little to no wait.

I've heard of Hobo's Tavern but don't make it to Muskegon that often. My boyfriend and I met some friends at the Winter Sports Complex last winter and then stopped at Hobo's for dinner after skating. Hobo's is right near the sports complex and on the drive out back to GR, which made it very convenient. The dining area is really large and was distanced for COVID dining. Our server was great - super friendly, and quick with refills. My boyfriend and I got the pretzel dippers and perch dinner to share. The pretzels were amazing! They were hot, fresh, and soft. The cheese for dipping was a little separated but tasted cheesy and delicious. I'm always wary of ordering soft pretzels as they can be too dry or stale, so I was very happy with these. I was really hungry so they were a nice treat while we waited for our meal. The perch was decent but I wasn't a big fan of the breading, just a personal preference. The crinkle fries and coleslaw were standard fare, nothing too exciting. The parking lot is big and it wasn't too busy when we visited. I would stop by again for those pretzels alone!

Awesome food. Great gluten free options you can't find in most restaurants. I had the hobo stew and it was a must try. Thick and hearty.

Love the free chips and salsa while you wait for your food. Only downside is you only get two topping for free on the tacos and sour cream is extra.

This is a perfectly nice Mexican restaurant. Chips and salsa come with the meal, and both are good. The menu is relatively small compared to some other Mexican restaurants who put every possible combination that the ingredients in the kitchen might could make. There are still plenty of items on the menu. I had the chimichanga meal, and it was delicious. The rice and refried beans are so good. Now, I have never ordered a taco salad at a restaurant because that's what my Aunt Karen (a lovely woman, not at all a "Karen") made for every family potluck when I was a kid in the 80s, and although it was fine it reminds me of the jello salad that shared the same table, and I'm not paying good money to have Gen-X childhood flashbacks. So maybe the salad is wet. Chopped up veg often is. The chimichanga and rice and beans with a margarita though? Delicious. 5 stars.

They have a wide variety of beers and and when we spoke with the server, he told us the philosophy of Pigeon Hill is to brew quality beers with consistent quality. We paid 90 something dollars for a veggie platter, to have wilted tomatoes, dry carrots and no broccoli. We paid 15 dollars a pizza to have the pizza just to be cold and small. If i recall it was only a 12 inch personal pizza for 15 bucks.. And the chicken in the pot was soggy because they steamed it for an hour before we where able to access it. We noticed a safety hazard and made sure management noted it for when we leave and not shortly after that they jacked up the music very very loud intending to kick us out. Overall we where really disappointed and would not recommend this place for a get together.

Grossly unprofessional service. If you are not a regular do not come here. I work late shifts and…read moreI'm in my 30s so I normally show up late night at bars to play pool. I'm typically known to help the staff with the belligerently drunk and clean up as I normally come sober and not to party but just to play pool. I'm originally from Muskegon but I only come here seasonally in the winter for the past few years. The first night I came to this bar trying to play pool there were some 20-year-olds belligerently drunk. It was getting close to closing time and an effort to expedite the game apparently I offended one of those 20-year-olds. And apparently one of those 20-year-olds runs the place because as I proceeded to get a second drink I was told that I was cut off for upsetting the customers. As I tried explaining the situation and how grossly and appropriate this was I was not heard. In fact the bartender was actually quite rude and clearly did not care what I had to say because she did not know me so I must be a significant. It's clear that they do not want new business. The only thing that keeps this bar alive is that they are only late night bar. Pool is $2 a game which is pretty steep. The place looks like it hasn't been updated since the '80s or '90s. The music also has not been updated. If you are into being treated like garbage by garbage then this is a place for you I guess
