    Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich

First visit here and really enjoyed our lunch! Our server (Jose) was as friendly and very helpful. He explained the the portions of the fried mushrooms was huge and that a half was more than enough for the 2 of us. He was right! Huge portion and tasty! Not frozen. Chicken was hot and crisp, very nice. The sides were tried weren't great, which was the only thing lacking. Everyone working there seemed friendly and the greeter was talking to each customer like they were regulars. Decorated with a lot of chicken stuff, and lots of seating and tables for big groups! Would be a fun place for a group to go have dinner and watch a game!

Service was good, food just OK. The 2 pieces of cod were oddly shaped, and quite thick. Onion rings were not homemade, as you can see. The mashed potatoes were luke warm, and weren't homemade(think powdered flakes).

Hodak's has always been a comfort food staple for my family for years! We always come here to celebrate my grandmas birthday since it's her fav and we all love it. We were a party of 12 this past weekend and our server treated us with so much care and love. She was the sweetest person ever, I wish I got her name! Hodaks is my favorite fried chicken here in STL, it's crunchy, golden, crispy and juicy inside! Also, the prices are super affordable and the servings are huge! Highly recommend pairing your chicken with sticky sauce you won't regret it! All of the workers are so nice, it felt so family friendly, it's not loud in there at all and the service was pretty fast too.

We went there for dinner and Hodacks did not disappoint. My son and I had the 1/2 chicken dinner with fries and the green beans. The chicken was tender and crispy. The fries were perfect and the green beans with onion were delicious. My wife had the chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. She said the potatoes with the brown gravy was very good. Our waitress Heather was on the ball I had a schafly pale ale and my wife had a hot chocolate with a shot of vanilla vodka. Both were excellent. The restaurant is decorated in a chicken theme. Try to count how many chickens you can count . All was a great night out .

Hodacks restaurant is known for its fried chicken in St. Louis, Mo. Well in my opinion it was okayyyy! The chicken itself was good (could've used a little more seasoning) but the breading definitely needed seasoning. The place was crowded, but we were seated right away and was able to talk without shouting. Our server Tim was great. #Hodaks #StLouis

Honestly would skip this place if suggested again. Hodak's is known for their fried chicken so my father in law couldn't pass it up on his visit. We had never been and next time will take him elsewhere for his fried chicken fix. 6pm on a rainy Saturday meant easy seating and quick service. The food is what left something to be desired. Potatoes from powder, canned vegetables, mushy fries, canned baked beans, and fake cheese on our Mac all disappointed. The Southwest wrap my mother in law had and my burger were the only highlights.

I've been going to Hodaks for years and I've never been disappointed. They have always had the same friendly staff and it really makes it feel like home. My go to is always the chicken wings and I've tried other things but those hold my heart lol. That Cole slaw might be one of the best I've ever had in my life. They have plenty of seating options and it's always decorated for whatever holiday or season is in. A real STL gem

Chicken, Chicken and more Chicken, this is a STL institution at Hodak's! Perfect casual place for pre-game meal or snack nearby downtown arenas and stadiums. Oh yeah, don't miss their "fried" eats including signature Fried Chicken, Wings, Mushrooms, T-Ravs, Potato Skins and more. Super friendly and efficient service, your beer or beverage won't run empty. Overall 3.5+ rated for me; service was great, food solid, a happenin' local spot where regulars enjoy the ambience and keep coming back! Expect to pay $10-20pp depending your food and drink orders. Today we sampled their Fried Chicken Wings, Sticky Wings, Potato Skins and Fried Mushrooms. Portion size plentiful for sharing. The fried breaded Wings were large and good tasting; altho i've had other wings I prefer more, they've been serving these a long time and I wasn't used to dipping my own hot sauce (usually tossed in), but i liked 'em. The Sticky Wings were Sweet and Tangy (similar to Teriyaki type flavor), but made a nice variety to sample. The "shrooms" platter was simple and plentiful, and xtra tasty dipped in Ranch! Skins were also good, typical style with some cheese, bacon and sour cream. Next time I'd like to try their Chicken sandwich or a dinner meal. Don't miss a St. Louis tradition if searching for a local Chicken eatery and bar! Cheers, ENJOY!

We ordered a ridiculous amount of food because…read morethere were so many things on the menu we wanted to try, and somehow, nearly everything we ordered was a hit. We started with Stella on tap, which just felt appropriate while visiting St. Louis, especially after touring the nearby Anheuser-Busch brewery. It was easily one of the freshest Stellas we've ever had. For food, we tried the lobster mac and cheese, lobster bisque with pieces of lobster, a pound of steamed crab legs, fried green tomatoes, and the warm lobster roll. The lobster roll was phenomenal. We shared it, but I honestly could have eaten the entire sandwich myself. The real standout, though, was just how perfectly the seafood was cooked. Both the lobster and crab were juicy, sweet, and tender with just the right amount of chew. Nothing was rubbery or overcooked, but it wasn't soft or mushy either. I genuinely don't think they could have cooked the seafood any better. The fried green tomatoes were also cooked perfectly and something I was excited to try since you don't see them on every menu. Unfortunately, they were a little too spicy for my personal taste, so we didn't finish them, but that's definitely more about my spice tolerance than the quality of the dish. The atmosphere was another plus. It's a really cute setup with great ambiance, and our server was wonderful. We also walked right in without a reservation and had no wait at all, which has honestly been one of our favorite things about eating our way through St. Louis. Coming from California, we're used to having to plan ahead for popular restaurants, sometimes weeks in advance. Here, we've been able to discover some fantastic places without having to plan our entire trip around restaurant reservations. I will say, this was probably the most expensive meal of our trip. The one pound of steamed crab legs was $65 market price, and the lobster roll was $37 market price, so Peacemaker definitely isn't the cheapest place we've eaten. That said, considering the quality of the seafood and how much we enjoyed everything, it was absolutely worth the splurge. From the crab legs to the lobster roll to the bisque and mac and cheese, everything we tried was delicious. Combine that with the atmosphere, great service, and being able to walk right in, and this was easily one of our favorite meals in St. Louis. I'm actually hoping I can convince some of my coworkers from my training class to go back with me before I leave Missouri. I think that probably says everything you need to know about how much I enjoyed it.

It is in no way a traditional cheesecake. I've added a photo of it, but it was after I had already cut it up. It comes out looking like a piece of pie. I looked at the menu and went to my fave - Shrimp Voodoo Tacos. They were so good! It came with a "side" of Jambalaya. The side was a full dinner portion! In fact, I was so full, I brought the whole serving home and my husband had it for dinner and it filled him up. He got the Fried Oysters. It's a great place for people watching. We came right on time and were sat immediately. The inside was lively and buzzing. Right after we were sat, our server came to introduce himself and take our drink order. To start, we each go a Caesar salad, we split an order of calamari, and I got the flower power to drink. I was warned before hand that the drink I chose would be an "experience" but that I should enjoy it. An experience would be an understatement. The salad was good and I loved the croutons, although they were a bit tough. The calamari was quite tasty and seasoned well. As for my drink, let's just say I was NOT prepared. The drink itself wasn't the problem but more so the buzz flower that accompanied it. You're supposed to eat the flower first and then drink. It comes with a glass of prosecco as a palate cleanser but I don't feel as though it did much. I'd say that flower kicked in within 15 minutes and ultimately, that's when things took a turn. At first it felt like pop rocks in my mouth and then I started to feel awful. While the chaos was going on, I managed to eat my blackened salmon, which was delicious. The slaw was so-so and I could have done without the beans and rice. All in all, we had a lovely visit aside from the drink. We had an upcoming night out, and wanted to get drinks. We figured we would finally take the plunge and just do both our meals and drinks at Frazer's. I love the neighborhood Frazer's is in. I like the general vibe of the restaurant. In the past we have had good experiences with the drinks. For us on this night the food experience fell very flat. It started with the cheese/tomato soup that I got with my burger. It was flavorless and tasted like water lightly infused with some tomato and cheese flavor. My medium burger was well done. Maybe even a step past well done, and was not edible. My wife's meal was good, but forgettable. The drinks were still good, but the poor food quality was a huge let down. The last part that dampened the mood was where we sat. They have a modest outdoor patio and then seating on the sidewalk along the front. We had put in a reservation for outdoor seating. As we walked up there was one table on the very far side of the sidewalk seating almost into a parking lot. I turned to my wife and said "I hope that isn't us." It was. It was just an awkward spot. It also mean that our server didn't check in with us that much. So overall, great spot for drinks. Really outstanding drinks.
