Not all diners are created equally. Some have given up and serve food that's just not tasty. Hogan's is the exception. The food you get here is fresh and well prepared. I typically stick to the breakfast items. The omelettes are amazing btw. Some items are a bit pricey for diner food, just a FYI. The staff is great and the owner is friendly. My family has been coming here for years. Be it a table for 6 or 12, the wait is never too long, if at all. I feel terrible, I should know the owner/manager's name by now, but I have yet to ask! Nonetheless, he knows us all by face. We're always warmly greeted and service is always spot on (despite how loud and inappropriate our family conversation might be). There are a variety menu items & specials and the food is always consistent. My mother, the corned beef hash connoisseur, swears their hash is the best she's ever tasted (she gets it "very, very crispy"). Never a complaint. All of us always leave spirits high and bellies full. We'll keep coming back for a long, long time. read more

Came here for a change in our breakfast routine and as it was good for a change it definitely didn't convert me from my American Diner 2 minutes away from here. Just lke the 3 stars shows everything was just A-OK. Not bad.. not great... a decent breafast. It was packed but we didn't have to wait or a table.... for how packed it was I didn't see the appeal. It was full of old foggies.. perhaps its like the place they've been going to for years and years and they don't like change so they keep going. Maybe I'll be back someday read more

Nestled comfortably among the Dunkin Donuts, CVS and the Captain Video in this unassuming strip mall is an equally unassuming diner that turns out to be quite spacious and comfortable within. We just stopped in for coffee and general warmth after tromping through the snow for two hours, and ordered simple fare of toast and the chicken orzo soup of the day. The soup came with plenty of crackers and the service friendly and prompt. I don't think we really put Hogan's to the full diner stress test that day, but for the choice, roominess and overall feel of the place I feel comfortable recommending other weary travelers to stop by here if the opportunity arises. read more

When you are slightly hungover from a wedding, there is nothing like greasy diner hashbrowns and coffee to perk you right back up. We came to Hogan's two mornings in a row this weekend (I can feel you all judging me...) and this place definitely delivered some much needed perking. Coffee: delicious. Hashbrowns: actually not too greasy. Omelette: big as your face. The breakfast specials come with coffee, juice, toast, hashbrowns, and the largest omelette I have ever seen for about $9. Ate here after a soccer match - arrived at 12:30 on a Saturday and it was jammin'! Menu is huge with lots of daily specials. Portions are super generous, food is tasty and most menu items include soup and dessert. Good value, great service and delicious diner fare - will return when we're nearby! read more

I recently went to Hogan's Diner with some friends. I'm a pretty picky eater but that wasn't a problem at Hogan's because my meal was prepared exactly how I asked for it to be. The waiters were very hospitable and Nick Hogan, the owner is a very friendly guy. I haven't gone to many restaurants where I actually saw the owner walking around asking people how they feel about their meals and how their days were going. My friends ordered fancier dishes than I did which included the avocado salad which looked amazing and the french toast. Neither of them finished their dishes because the portions are so large. I left content and I will not hesitate to go back to order something more creative from their menu. read more

We were in town for a wedding and didn't feel like paying through the nose for hotel food, so we found Hogan's Diner. It's in a nondescript shopping center, but the inside is pleasant and inviting, casual and diner-like. Both mornings (we went twice that weekend, we liked it so much) I ordered an omelette. Coffee was good, comes with your meal (along with a juice) when you order from the breakfast specials. Juice was okay; I liked that it came with the special, but I probably wouldn't order it normally. The omelettes are huge and delicious. read more

I came here with my 15 month old, my friend and her 2 year old for lunch yesterday and was so impressed with the food, portion sizes and how we were treated. The service was excellent! It's not easy dining with little ones so the waiter Luis' attention and patience as well as everyone helping to clear the table and making sure we were comfortable was so helpful and appreciated. Had the fish taco. In many restaurants, this is support to be lite lunch. Not at Hogans. Here, the fish was deep fried and the sat on wet lettuces and hard tacos shells. Everything fell apart when you tried to eat them. My wife had the portobello mushrooms omelet - it was OK. The sweet potato fries and split pea soup were decent. read more

Been bringing the family here for years, a beautiful family owned diner located in a shopping center. Very clean with a huge variety on the menu. Have never had a bad meal from here. Hogan's Dinner is the go to place when you are hungry but not quite sure what you feel like eating. It is the go to place when you are with a group that cannot settle on a cuisine. It is the go to place for great food and friendly service. The menu is packed with all the expected diner fare but the magic happens when you flip through the pages of the daily specials. Selections run the gamut from breakfast, sandwiches & burgers, big salads to full meals with various proteins. Soup or salad, beverage and dessert comes with the specials! The coffee is always fresh. The service is always spot on. There is genuine attention paid when you want it -- the coffee is low or the glass of soda makes the gurgling sound when only ice remains. The servers work as a team to fulfill the patron's needs. As for specific recommendations... I'm still working my way through the menu and have yet to be disappointed. Scratch that -- my deep menu dive has only been rewarded. We have been spoiled by one particular server, Johnny, who has always been helpful and kind and made us feel welcome from day one. read more

Eggs Florentine: $10.95? Last time I'll splurge on that dish. Thawed frozen spinach with no seasoning whatsoever. Skimpy on the hollandaise sauce. Poached eggs were cooked well though.
