We loved the ability to just go from one area to another and the ability to go the cafeteria to eat and chit chat. The food was really good. We got assortment of items to share between the four of us and it was delicious. Though, the food price is a bit pricier than usual. I will definitely be coming back. Maybe I will try the scrub or massage there. Also tip--bring face masks so when you are hanging out in the common area, you can put face masks on.

They have raised their admission prices several times in the last 2 years. Upon arrival, I was contemplating on getting a massage or not and decided not to and instead just used my pre-purchased admission ticket. I would say the best thing here is their dining area. They have a good selection of Korean food and drinks including smoothies, juices, and even boba. I usually get their almond milk tea. My favorite food choices would be the tofu soup with seafood only (yes, you can ask for no beef) or the burnt bibimbap bowl with all the veggies and yes, you can also ask for a fully cooked egg instead of a Sunnyside up if you don't like runny eggs. My meal with a drink usually comes out to $26. The reason why I am lowering my rating is because their standing shower area stinks. For the last couple of times I've been here, that area smells either like mold or a sewer issue. Secondly, I witnessed one of their shower massage employees (they wear black tops and bottoms) use the restroom and left without washing her hands. Yes, she is a masseuse who doesn't wash her hands after using the toilet. I would never book any type of massage here based on that fact alone. One more thing, i also saw 2 women get into an argument. I was in a dry sauna room with 2 other females already there. One female came in and confronted someone else who was trying to relax for not picking up her towels in the other room. The lady who got confronted acted like she didn't speak English so the argument was brief. However, the lady who did the confronting called her a stupidass before walking away. LOL I'm laughing about it now but honestly it is suppose to be relaxing environment and chasing someone down over towels when you don't even work here is a bit much. Not very relaxing. I have 2 admission tickets left to use but after that I most likely won't be purchasing a packet again. This place doesn't have a luxury feel to it like it used to.

BEWARE! I experienced repeated dishonesty, unorganized and unqualified management and staff. I was subjected to a pattern of unsanitary and unsafe practices despite managements awareness including double dipping of dip powder which has been banned in 30 states for a reason (if you don't believe me research it for yourself.) I experienced many communication issues with many of the staff not speaking English well which compounded my grievances. I after the fact learned that Happy Nails Salon is camouflaged with the new Holly and Hudson name which is seemingly very misrepresentive if the truth. Check their other reviews under Happy Nails Irvine Spectrum on yelp: Hundreds of awful reviews. I wish I had before I gave them my time and business as I ended up with painful nails, infection, bad work which was done improperly and thinly to seemingly cut corners, save time, product and get them on to the next client causing me to be ripped off repeatedly and I regret giving them many chances to do what should have been done right the first time. Never again and I urge others to be careful and do your own due diligence and research into them. Management please do not attempt to reply to seem conscientious. I gave you multiple opportunities to address and correct your dishonest staff who subjected me to infection, bad work repeatedly, product pumping and a lot of wasted time, aggravation and money including wasted and very expensive uber rides after being bounced to another city and location to correct work that still was improper and unsafe their too. Management: If you truly want to remedy this, require your staff to follow proper health codes, require your staff to speak English and understand English fully, require your staff to be qualified and I mean really qualified not just who will work at the rate you're willing to pay them which comes at a cost to the customers, require honesty from your staff at all times and follow up on this. Be in integrity. The reason your ratings elsewhere under prior names are so low and in my experience, deserved, is because you have not done this and a new name and new tenant improvements will not correct this and front desk management in a last ditch effort to dodge accountability with blaming customers as they attempted to do to me is only further evidence of how mishandled the establishment is. I was bounced around between both this and Blu Nail Bar of Fashion Island/Newport Beach which is in an entire different city also owned by them as I was told a simple ombré pink and white dip aka french fade or baby boomer dip set is very hard and only 1 technician of all their stores could do it, which speaks volumes to the inadequacy of the staff and managements allowance of this caliber of work and this review goes for that facility as well. My sister and I had been regular clients at this salon for several years, primarily for manicures and pedicures. Unfortunately, due to repeated negative experiences, we have decided not to return. The receptionist at the front desk is consistently rude, unprofessional, and unwelcoming. Despite the salon's official closing time being 9 PM, she routinely refuses to accept any clients after 7 PM often with a dismissive attitude. On one occasion, I arrived at 6:30 PM for a pedicure, and she abruptly told me they were fully booked, insisting that "it'll be 7 soon and we don't accept anyone after that." Her tone and behavior made it clear she simply did not want to accommodate anyone. What's even more concerning is how she treats the other staff. I've personally witnessed her speaking to the employees who are doing their jobs professionally and respectfully in a harsh and demeaning manner, as if they're beneath her. This kind of toxic behavior creates an unhealthy work environment and reflects very poorly on the management of the salon. It's extremely disappointing to see one staff member's poor attitude tarnish the reputation of the entire salon. Her behavior is not only unprofessional, but actively drives loyal clients away. Went here the other day with my mom, aunt and sister. They all got pedicures while i got gel acrylics. My nails came out terrible. The undersides were dirty, there was nail polish on my fingers and my cuticles were bleeding. I was upset but my aunt was even more after the lady at the front asked her to pay extra for her foot massage. She tried charging her for polish which she did not get and when she tried to argue this, the receptionist told her that she needs medication and should be put in a mental hospital, proceeded to accuse her of being drunk or on drugs and then told us to leave. My aunt has a speech impediment and i tried explaining to the receptionist but she was obviously not willing to listen. Overall a terrible experience. Would not recommend going read more

She pressured me into the expensive packages, I said no, then she ignored me entire time. She turned around, talking in with another tech, annoying. My previous nail salon in Mission Viejo would block off unavailable times online, so I genuinely thought they had availability. When I arrived, they told me they could do the pedicure, but the manicure would depend on time. Which is fine, I understand and respect their availability. While they were setting up the pedicure station, they rushed me to pick a color, barely giving me more than 2 minutes before telling me to just sit down and saying I can pick later. For context, I only wanted a basic regular polish mani-pedi -- no gel, acrylics, extensions, or nail art. Just regular polish, shaping, and shaping. They handed me a gel sample book to choose from, I asked if these were the colors on the wall, and they confirmed it wasn't because they don't make sample books for regular polish. So the book was pointless... I normally do a shiny silver color on my toes, so I asked if they had something similar and was basically told "I don't know. Whatever we have is on the wall." I said I'd like to quickly look at the wall myself and if they didn't have something similar, I'd just go with white. As soon as I sat down for my pedicure, another technician came over to start my manicure, so naturally I assumed both services were being done (great!) She asked for my desired length and shape, and I requested oval. Less than 5 minutes into the manicure, I noticed my nails were being cut and shaped unevenly and nothing like what I asked for. When I politely pointed it out, she proceeded to say in Vietnamese to her coworker (I'm Vietnamese and understood everything) that I was being difficult and that she was going to help another client instead... About 10 minutes after she walked away, I was told they no longer had time to do my manicure anymore -- which left me disappointed considering they had already chopped off my nails and left them unfinished and half filed. I asked if they could at least file my nails evenly since they had already cut them, and while they agreed, my nails are better, but still uneven across the board. The most frustrating part was that while my hands were occupied, the pedicure technician just started painting my toes white without confirming the color with me or letting me go back to the wall to look. Ironically, when I went to pay, I found the exact silver color I had originally been looking for. Overall, I left feeling rushed, dismissed, and stressed out instead of relaxed. I don't normally leave reviews, but I wanted to share my honest experience.
