Read the yelp reviews so we thought we would give it a try my wife ordered the chop steak with mashed potatoes and a side salad she said the meat was good I ordered the fish and chips. They were supposed d to be beer batter but it had another seasoning in it that took away from the batter the fish was good but a little mushy the fries were horrible they were so skinny that even though they were good nice and golden brown there wasn't any potato inside in order to feel like you we were eating a fry you had to eat like 8-10 pieces at a time. The coleslaw was creamy and had a mustard flavor to it. I don't think we will return unless something drastic happens like we get free food there are way too many other places to try read more

Houston's was suggested to us by someone on the train at Dollywood. We were seated immediately upon arriving. The food was delicious and the only complaint I have is that I ate too much. My husband and I had steak and mine was perfect but his was a little tough. Our son ate the wings and enjoyed them. We were on vacation and had read that this restaurant was a good place to eat dinner. The restaurant had indoor and outdoor seating. We sat inside since it was hot on the patio. The restaurant was clean and atmosphere was decent. We ordered French onion soup for starters but the waitress told us that they didn't have any soup that day at all, for some reason. So we chose the side salad to go with our meals instead. The side salads were ok, small, but it was what we expected. We got the blackened salmon and the 12oz ribeye. Both were fine, but nothing to write home about. Very average! The sweet potato fries and the onion rings were the highlight for us.‍ We ordered dessert, banana pudding. The waitress came back and said they were out of that. So, we changed it to cheesecake. The waitress came back and said they were out of that as well. We decided dessert was not in the cards for us tonight! But, being out of three of the items we intended to eat did not set well with us! Great food, excellent service. Miranda was nice and attentive without being overbearing. The menu was pretty typical of similar type restaurants (steaks, chicken, pork). We didn't get an appetizer or dessert. I had the pork chop with broccoli and a side salad with blue cheese, all delicious. My husband said his steak was good but other reviews raved about the seasoning and says his didn't have any. Kids seemed happy with their meals, my daughter had nachos, which was a nice change from the typical kids menu corn dogs and chicken strips. We kept stealing her cheese, it was really good. Always try and hit this place up when I passing through but after my last experience there it will be the last. Ordered beef stroganoff only to find the meat spoiled could literally smell it without having to try it. Took one bite and had to spit it out had someone else at the table try it to make sure but the smell coming from the meat was so pungent they couldn't even come to tasting it. Waitress acted like no big deal took my plate away and asked if I wanted anything else. Wasn't until we asked for the check that that she said they where not going to charge me for that dish, no manager ever came by to apologize or anything which has me questioning the management. After we payed I made a quick trip to the bathroom and when I came back out my party had already left the table I went over to retrieve my sunglasses only to find them no there. I asked the waitress and the busboy if they had seen them and they said there where no personal items left at the table. I went outside to see if my group had picked them up for me when everyone said they hadn't I went back inside after talking to the waitress and manager and waiting around for five minutes they brought me my pair of Costa broken said they found them that way. Amazing, original dishes. The ribeye was cooked medium rare to perfection, with a great crust, and the chimichurri butter top was a great, new and different addition to my steak. The sweet potato waffle fries... oh man. So good! This place has by far the best service we've had at any restaurant, and we admittedly eat out a lot. Our server Alicia (hopefully I spelled her name correctly) absolutely spoiled us and our 10 month old, with a smile, for around two hours. I cannot say enough great things about her. My family and I were visiting Pigeon Forge for a cheerleading competition this past weekend. We called Holston's to see if they could accommodate our party of 8, not only did they seat our large party fairly quickly we were blessed with the best server. James was friendly, helpful, offered wonderful suggestions, was proficient and so upbeat! We all fell in love with James and would go back again and again for James if we were locals. The food was delicious, burgers cooked perfectly, sides were yummy and the cocktails were on point. To top off of our dining experience the manager came to our table to see how things were going which gave us a chance to tell her how great we all thought James was and how happy we were with our experience. We came to Holston's on St Patty's in the middle of March Madness, so I super excited, traveling with three kids, that they offered a chance to get on the wait list online. That part was great. We were quoted 30-45 minutes and waited a total of 35 minutes from the time I checked in online. My mistake was accepting a table in the bar. While it was busy, it wasn't packed full. There were supposedly two bartenders, Megan and ?, who were to be taking care of us. We only ever saw Megan, and that was sporadic at best. Our salads were delivered just moments before our entrees, and although we indicated we'd be ordering drinks after perusing the bar menu, that never happened. My advise, come in and definitely get the Hawaiian ribeye, but don't sit in the bar area. read more

It reminded me of a steak house that you would find in Chicago or any bigger city!! Our food was excellent!! For a starter, we had the the thick cut fried green tomatoes. We both dinner on country fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy. While he opted for onion rings I chose the spinach maria. Soooo goood!!! My only complaint would be the bread. We asked for bread while eating our appetizer and it arrived well after we had been served main course with no explanation. The bread was small squares and not very good. The finally was the Strawberry Shortcake. My husband was so excited to see this on the menu. It was the best cake I've ever had. I can still taste it today and it's 5 days later. I suggest ordering a few appetizers and making that your meal. The restaurant loses stars due to their lax safety precautions with Covid.
