I previously wrote a glowing review for Keyes, but I've since deleted it because thanks to these guys we've been dealing with a neverending nightmare that started from the moment we walked into their dealership in October 2017. That was almost 2 years ago folks, and we're still dealing with this crap. I should've known to RUN, not walk away from this place the second I stepped foot inside. I was told to meet someone there to look at a car, so we set up an appointment. We arrive and that person wasn't even scheduled to work that day. Fine, we were able to look at the car with someone else. But then they couldn't find the car... that's right. THEY COULD NOT FIND THE CAR. Finally, they find it, we take it for a test drive, and then we sit around for 3+ hours waiting to be seen to sign paperwork. Since we're stuck waiting so long they offer to give us a month of free insurance to make up for it. Sounds good, right? NO. One of my biggest regrets in life is accepting their crap insurance. Don't do it. I repeat, DO NOT EVER ACCEPT THEIR INSURANCE under any circumstances ever in the world! Even if they pay you to take it, or they offer to put all of your kids through college, don't do it. You will regret it. Anyways. I'll get to why that's a bad choice after I go through all of the other bad stuff. We are finally seen by someone and are ready to sign paperwork. But wait. The paperwork is for a used car? But the car we test drove was being advertised as new. We walk out, because we came in to buy a new car, not a used one. The next day they give us a call and make us a good deal for a new car for the trouble. We accept. We buy the car, they give us our free month of insurance, we think all is good. Unfortunately, my husband was involved in a car accident a couple weeks later while under the insurance they gave us. BUT. They gave us insurance for the wrong car. WTF guys. W. T. F. So that was an ordeal in and of itself, but finally it's straightened out (after several weeks of me contacting them every single day so they get their sh*t together). Fine, thanks for fixing your own screw up. Another BUT. They gave us the worst possible effing coverage they could come up with. We're talking $10,000 property damage PER ACCIDENT. Like, even if there's a 10 car pile up, ya get $10k of total coverage for everyone. For reference, the industry standard recommendation is 100/300. Meaning $100,000 per accident. That's $90,000 more than what they gave us. SO. Two years later we're still dealing with this because they stuck us with a back alley insurance company who never paid jack even though they were supposed to. There's lawsuits and a bunch of garbage involved that would never happen with a legitimate insurance company. And we're probably going to end up paying a lot of money we don't have out of pocket because they stuck us with a totally inadequate amount of coverage. I would've been better off either not buying a car at all or just having refused their free insurance, because it ended up being neither free nor easy. Steer clear guys. Steer waaaaaaaaay clear. And if you insist on buying from them, never, under any circumstances, take their insurance - free or not. read more

"You get what you pay for" if you want quality go with Honda... these cars look feel just like any Mercedes, BMW, or Lexus do.. the difference is the symbol on the front of the car!! Remember Mercedes,BMW,Lexus they are GREAT cars but why? "Because people have made them into the flashy luxury category".. if you want luxury and don't mind the symbol on the car you will not only save on INSURANCE, your payments and your GAS Honda SUPPORT!! So don't let the symbol fool you GUYS.. if the symbol is want then prepare to pull that cash out of your pocket.. Personally I like vacations and I like NICE things.. No local Honda dealerships had the car that I was looking to purchase. Most of them did no followup after my initial call. After I spoke with Farid Asadi at Keyes Van Nuys Honda he researched their inventory and their expected deliveries. He was able to tell me that it might be coming at the end of August. On a subsequent call he was able to tell me the exact date the car would be arriving. Unfortunately, the car had many accessories I did not want. Farid promised we would work something out. I was definitely skeptical. Farid let me know the moment it arrived. The next morning the car was prepped for me to see. Farid did, infact, keep his promise. I was not pressured to purchase the car with the accessories that I did not want. Farid also gave me great advice regarding some accessories I was considering. He was easy to talk to and very upbeat. He was great. Signing all the forms was time consuming, but Ross was methodical and made sure there were no mistakes. He certainly knows how to talk to people who are making a very large purchase. I dreaded buying a car so much that I put it off for over a year; I never had pleasant experiences at any car dealerships until coming here. I only made the 60 mile journey to the Valley due to a recommendation from a friend and boy, I'm glad I did. Had a wonderful experience and both Hagop and Dean made sure I left happy. Before taking us on a test drive, Hagop turned on the AC to ensure it was nice and cool since we hit a lovely heat wave this past weekend (over 100 degrees). His attention to detail and really explaining the components of the car before I left made my transition to a hybrid more comfortable. For instance, he explained where the buttons were located, the different light indicators when charging the vehicle, and the various internal features (e.g., how to sync my phone). In addition, he also followed-up within the next few days to see if I had any additional questions. All in all, it took about three hours which includes my frustration with my insurance company (another story and review). Overall great service and experience. read more

(I came in to look for the pre-owned Insight because the salesman who had made an appointment with me via email didn't even bother to come to work! AND the Insight wasn' even there. The second salesman, who was supposed to be in charge of the Internet Sales dept, was very unreliable and no good either.) My husband and I stopped by the dealership just one more time after the annoying event solely based on our love for the Honda brand. I'm glad we did because we met Eric. He was so pleasant, patient and had a great sense of humor! We ended up buying a BRAND NEW CIVIC (woohoo!), not the pre-owned vehicle, no thanks to the guys from the Internet Sales Dept. STAY AWAY! This place is the perfect example of a bait and switch SCAM DEALERSHIP. They will waste your time and lie to your face to sell a car. I called into this location on Thursday and Friday to confirm the kind of car I want and our exact budget. The lady I spoke to confirmed that she had asked her manager, William and we were close to making a deal. Our budget was $500 a month and he said to come in to close the deal. I explained I live in Los Angeles with 4 small children and do not want to spend my Sunday coming all the way to Van Nuys if we do not have a deal.
