I brought my 2025 Honda HR-V in for an oil change and CVT transmission fluid service. The service advisor told me the only available transmission service was a $275 flush service. When I asked whether there was a more affordable drain-and-fill option, I was told no and was also told the Las Vegas heat required this type of service. Because I felt uncomfortable with the explanation, I called another Honda dealership and was informed they offer a standard drain-and-fill CVT service for around $165. I then spoke with the service manager, who checked the system and confirmed this dealership also offers a drain-and-fill service for about $168. What frustrated me most was not just the price difference, but being told there was "only one option" when that was not true. To the manager's credit, he matched the lower pricing and even reduced the total a bit further to help resolve the situation, which I appreciated. This was especially concerning because I previously had an issue after an oil change at this dealership where the underbody splash shield came loose and fell while I was driving on the freeway. While I appreciate the manager's effort to make things right, these experiences significantly reduced my trust in the service department's transparency and workmanship. read more

I love my Honda. Although I bought it from another Honda dealership, I come to this location for oil changes because it is the closest. Unfortunately, the customer service in the service department has been very disappointing. Despite having an appointment, I waited in line for more than 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged me. After several employees walked by without speaking to me, I had to ask if I was in the correct lane. Even then, I was told the oil change would still take at least an hour to an hour and a half. I also noticed that several customers without appointments were helped before me, which made my appointment seem pointless. To make matters worse, I was informed that my oil change warranty had expired just three days earlier, so I had to pay $89. No one mentioned any specials or possible email offers, such as the $38.88 oil change promotion. I don't often leave negative reviews, but I felt it was important to share my experience. I visited this dealership after seeing a specific used vehicle listed on their website. The car was intended as a gift for my teenage daughter. I had already secured financing through my bank and spoke with a representative who advised that the vehicle was still being serviced and detailed. I was told I would receive a text once it was ready for purchase. I received that text today and arrived after work with all necessary paperwork, accompanied by my husband so one of us could drive the car home. Upon arrival, we were told the keys just needed to be retrieved so we could view the completed updates, including new tires, headlights, and a detailed interior. We were asked to wait in the lobby and grab a coffee. Shortly afterward, we were informed that another party was interested in the vehicle and that it would be handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Although confused, we agreed to wait. After approximately 30 minutes, no one followed up with us, provided an update, or even acknowledged that we were still waiting. The representatives we had been speaking with were nowhere to be found. Ultimately, my husband and I left feeling dismissed and that our time had not been respected. We had an appointment on June 19th for multiple recalls on my Prologue. I was met by Robert who informed me that the global updates were failing after 8 hours and that most were taking up to 3 days. When I inquired about a loaner, I was advised that none were available and that I would have to request one at the time I made the appointment. I wasn't going to leave the car with this information because I could not have a loaner at the end of the day when the first update fails. I was advised by Robert to call in and make an appointment - and to ask for loaner. I left and immediately called to schedule another appointment. My call was answered by Dave who was argumentative with the information I presented from Robert. This is our first EV, and first Honda - coming from Lexus and Genesis, this encounter was not great...but I'm used to being treated a certain way from the luxury brands. No big deal, I can get over Dave. Then I'm transferred to Robert, who says he is just learning that loaners are not being given for 8 hour software updates (even though you guys know it fails) and he will speak to the manager and get back to me. He did not. I left a message for him and then left a message with Anna. Still no call. Several days go by and I finally get a hold of Robert again - because I tracked him down. He let's me know that a loaner isn't possible. I expressed my concern with this policy. 1 - you guys know the updates are failing. 2 - A loaner can only be requested AFTER the update fails. But you have to request a loaner at the time of appointment - but one can't be requested for this service. Robert, seemly frustrated with my call out of an obviously ridiculous loop this puts your customers in, put me on hold - and then came back and said the manager said ok and I've added your paperwork to the "loaner pile" and I would be contacted when one came available. We're now coming up on 4 weeks since my original appointment. I emailed the service Manager Zachary and copied the GM Goardon almost a week ago and neither has responded. "Trust the best from Honda West" hard to take this tag line serious when the GM doesn't take service failures seriously. read more

I purchased my car from Honda West a little over a year ago. I brought my car in for a defect repair, and it was returned with a large dent on the drivers side that was not there before. I noticed it immediately after the car was brought home. The service department at Honda West has been one of the most frustrating experiences I've had. Communication has been a major issue from the start. I made repeated calls throughout this process, multiple times, and not a single one was returned, including calls to the manager. The only way I ever got a response was by physically going into the dealership, every time. This was the case for both the original defect issue and the new damage to my vehicle. I reported the dent right away and again received no response. I had to go in person just to speak with someone. I was told it would be investigated, and surprise, I never received any follow-up. I decided to try Honda West because it's closer to my house than Findlay Honda Henderson, where I usually take my car. I was estimated 2 hours wait and was told the next complimentary shuttle wasn't for 1 1/2 hours, so I chose to wait in the lobby. The lobby was very busy with people waiting for their cars to be serviced. The lobby felt crowded and old, even though the furniture looks newer. They have a coffee station which was broken when I first arrived. They fixed it at some point during the day but the "espresso" almost clear water. The bathrooms were dimly lit and not very clean. After 5 hours waiting, I was told my car needed almost $2,300 of repairs. I was shocked. I declined getting anything done. I took my car to Findlay Honda Henderson and ended up needing only a few repairs which totaled half of that quoted at Honda West. They also give their customers a complimentary Uber home. RIPOFF ALERT! MUST-READ! Just took my Pilot in for an oil change. It was quoted online at $84.95 when I booked the appointment. I pull in for my appointment, and the first thing the tech says is the price is $140, and that price quoted online is not through Honda West, but instead through a 3rd party booking system, and there is a disclaimer that the price quotes might not be the same at the dealership. Then they send me a recommendation based on their "free 47-point inspection" that I need over $3k of work done including a timing belt change, transmission fluid service, brake fluid service, coolant service, and battery replacement." Well, I had the guy go through my service history. My Pilot has 106k miles. I had the timing belt done at 57k miles bc a tensioner was leaking. Those belts don't need changing for 90-100k miles or every 7 to 10 years. He wants me to do a $2000 service early because this dealership recommends it be done every 60k miles. This should be getting done the first time right now, not a second time. He says well we change the serpentine belt, tensioner, and water pump too. I said the serpentine belt and tensioner got done with the timing belt back at 57k. He responds, true, but not the water pump, if that goes, then you'll be looking at labor. If you get it all done now, you won't have to come back twice and pay twice the labor. LMFAO. Water pumps get replaced when they start failing, you don't replace a timing belt, drive belt, etc. just so you can get ahead of a water pump issue. And a water pump is like 500-600, not $2k. Nah bro. Next. I had my brake fluid done 1.5 years ago. Honda's own recommendation is that it's done every 3 years. He's like, well it's 3 years or 30k miles. No, it's not. Brake fluid is never a mileage thing. It's a time thing. I'm not even to the halfway point of needing that. He tries to tell me it looks dirty. No it doesn't. They don't even check the fluid like that. Nah bro. Next. I had my coolant done 2 years ago at 68k miles by them. Honda doesn't recommend coolant replacement for 5 years or 60k miles, and tbh that Honda coolant is great and lasts forever. He says, well you're close. I said, no I'm 3 years or 22k miles from that. WTF LMFAO. Nah bro. Next. I had my transmission full service done at 80k miles 15 months ago. He says it should be done every 20k miles. No it shouldn't. That is straight up this dealership's way of inflating their profits. Honda's own recommendation is over 50k miles to 100k miles depending on make and model, nowhere near 20k miles. And the last tech there said early or often transmission fluid changes have a chance to actually cause issues in the transmission. Wow, just wow. And let's not even get started about the battery. It's not even close to needing to be changed boys. So I went in expecting $84.95, and they straight up changed the price to $140. Then they tried to bs me into getting $3k worth of work done based on bogus recommendations without any accounting of the work that I've had done there recently. This dealership sold me an extended warranty for a Honda certified used vehicle. that warranty is crap. I just found out that when you need a loaner car since it's no longer base warranty, you do not get priority on a loaner vehicle and also when a large repair needs an approval, one has to wait a couple days to have a third-party inspector, by the warranty company , come and approve or deny the repairs. of course , they never tell you this when they sell you this crap Honda certified extended warranty. read more

FORMER loyal customer & I must say I am disappointed in HONDA WEST for quoting me $900 to replace TWO spark plugs. When I asked why, an employee told me, "$600 is for labor". Guess what Honda West? I brought the car back on Monday, and they said they couldn't find anything wrong. By Tuesday, the lights came back on. I returned on Wednesday, and they finally gave me a diagnosis -- saying I needed a new brake master cylinder and a brake bleed for nearly $3,000. I got a second opinion, and thank goodness I did. The mechanic found that Honda West had unplugged or turned off my brake sensors. There was nothing wrong with the master cylinder. If I hadn't trusted my gut, I would've been scammed out of thousands. Be careful! I don't recommend this place at all. read more
