Bought a brand new 2021 odyssey. I had them installed a roof rack and in the process they cracked one of the roof rail and a few months later our lift gate motor stop working. This all happened last year just didn't have time to write a review. Took it in found out that there was a leak that damage the motor and the same time water was collecting where the third row folds in a cause damage to our third row and rusted the frame. They fix the lift gate and sealed the crack but for the seats they said shit out of luck. One of the reps told me that I should've pay more attention and should've found this problem sooner. Took it up with America Honda they told me I have to deal with the dealership. All of sudden is my fault for there screw up. Honda are reliable vehicles the workers there don't give a damn about you or your Ohana's safety. The pic doesn't do any justice. I called ahead and let the sales manager, Craig, know about my experiences at the other dealerships, and he said I should come in and talk with his team. We were returning customers, bought 2 cars here before. We were interested in a used Camry. Melissa emailed us and we made appointment to view the car tonight and meet up with Melissa. My wife and I rushed after work drove 40 min minutes.... NO CAR! Melissa didn't even have the common courtesy to tell us herself, some other salesman told us they shipped the car to town. This dealership encompasses every sleazy stereotype people have of car dealerships. Go watch Matilda (Danny Devito character) and you will get a good idea. My oil light came on in my car so I called to schedule a service (they're not open on Sunday's so when I called the phone kept ringing and saying out of service, so strange. So I called back on Monday and they answered quickly and we easily scheduled my service.) Staff was quick and friendly over the phone and very flexible even offering service the same day or next day. They noted it would be about 45 minutes to an hour for my oil change and tire rotation (with covid it's nice to get a time frame for how long it'll be so I could plan ahead, I decided to grab lunch across the street and scheduled my service midday). The day of came, I was just a few minutes early and they were chill and took my car in. I walked across the street to pick up lunch and they quickly called me to let me know my car was pau and ready for pickup (about 30 minutes and it was done!). I had barely finished picking up my lunch and drink and my car was already done. Yay! Came back, checked out with the friendly staff member who ran thru the check with me to let me know that my car was in great condition, the service came with a free car wash down the road, etc. I paid and that was it. My family has been coming to Honda Windward for years and always get our services done here. I'll definitely be back again for my next service. read more

I had a wonderful experience at Honda Windward yesterday. My sales person Blake S. Was great. He was so nice and pleasant. I didn't feel rushed and he listened to what I needed. He even helped me move all my things from my old car to the new one.Sales manager Craig H. was super nice as well. The financing person was great too. Overall I felt heard and seen and not pressured. I needed to finance and then didn't dismiss me. This is my second purchase at Honda Windward. Went to Honda Windward for my gf who was interested in buying a new car. We got linked up with salesmen Robert who was apparently their expert for the Costco automatic program. He was nice at first and showed us the cars, she test drove the Honda Accords both Gas and Hybrid styles. We asked plenty of questions but seems rude or like it was a pain to be having us test drive the cars. After avoiding questions like "how much do you want to pay monthly?" And "do you want to finance this car" before seeing how much they'd charge us we went ahead and sat down in his office. He pulled sheets on the terrible lower tier models for the accords which had reflected the "Costco" automotive program special of 500$ off. Wow such a discount. Not. He shows the sheet of the car my gf actually wanted and it was a completely different universe. Not even if the same galaxy or solar system of what was shown on the sticker of the car. He shown us a sheet that estimated about 39,000!!! When the stick on the car showed around 33,000$. I tried to negotiate and he wanted us to commit to to buying the car if he could get his boss to lower the price. We waited and waited and then after a few minutes he said "let's go outside" and pretty much kicked out us out of the dealership and stated thanks for coming by but my boss can't do that price. Go build a Honda accord hybrid sport 2023 online and tell me what price you get and if you're willing to pay 39,000$ for it. I'll show you a screen shot of what it shows online for MSRP to compare. The best part, I asked for a copy of what the price was he wanted to charge us and said "no, we can't it has your name so it's sensitive info, we don't want it getting out". You don't want it getting out that you charge people over 5,000$+ over MSRP for cars. For comparison I just bought a new 2023 SR5 Toyota Tacoma, earlier this year and I paid 37,500$ out the door for the car. You tell me, is the Honda Accord Hybrid Sport worth more than a Toyota Tacoma? Rude service, kicked us out as nicely as possible and refused to negotiate a ridiculous price. I bought a 2019 Dodge Caravan from them with 51k miles and the window sticker was 15k. Dave told me the workers made a mistake because the van is 20k so we paid the 20k. He told me that they did a $3500 service. After I got it, a couple of days later, I smell something funky inside the hood. It was the battery leaking acid. I replaced it. The right signal light wasn't working and I replaced it. Later my car shakes when I brake, I told them, they replaced it from their spa shop but it was making noise so I had to pay out of my own pocket because they wouldn't guarantee their work. I paid someone to do it putting new pads and rotors. I changed the wiper blades. The oil was way above the limit on the dipstick so I changed the oil. I also changed other things using my own money. Fast forward, a couple of months later, my transmission went out and they told me that I have to take care of it because I ran 20k miles because I drive for Lyft. That's why I bought the car for work and I told them that when I bought it. I never drove the car before I bought it. I never inspected it. I just thought that it was a good price because of the sticker price. They gave me the car with a couple of cracks on the windshield. The car had a lot of dents and scratches. I didn't mind it because it was for work. They sold me a lemon. I have the car only 5-6 months. If you're considering to buy from them, inspect it. I'm not sure how this place actually sells cars.... My wife was interested in getting a new car, and she finally settled on a Honda Odyssey. Being from Kaneohe the first place I tried was Honda Windward, I inquired online about a 2020 Odyssey Touring model. Cara was pretty quick to call me, she seemed extremely nice. I asked about Costco pricing and if they did with the newer models. She said definitely, she said she'd email me a quote(she's actually told me it would be a fricking good price) with what I was looking for and set up an appointment to test drive and check out the van. We set that up for Saturday 9:00. Unbeknownst to me my wife had also called Honda Windward and dealt with a gentleman named Bob, they set an appointment for 930 the same Saturday but she was not happy with conversation. I received the quote in my email, it was for a different trim level. I called the next day to fix it with Cara and also asked her to cancel my wife's appointment with Bob. Saturday 9:00 rolls around and nobody has shown up, around 9:15 surprisingly Bob calls and would like to move up our appointment, I explained that I was working with Cara but her person no showed so come on over, you can have a do over with my wife. Bob brings over an elite model(one of the salesmen's car) not sure if it's common practice but if felt weird looking through someone else's car. After Bob made small talk and explains some features of the car my wife and he head off for the test drive, it was a quick drive and my wife came back visibly upset. Bob looked at our trade in and said he'd get back to us with some numbers later that day and left. Talking with my wife, apparently Bob had a appointment right after us and we couldn't take a long test drive, when mentioning the color combination she was interested in she was called racist and then he tipped cap by bringing up politics.... so he made us feel unimportant and then insulted us. I haven't been in sales in a while but those seem like red flags to me. We let Bob know we were no longer interested in the Odyssey. We immediately called Pacific Honda, they made us feel important gave us a better deal on a higher trim level. Honda windward gets one star for pushing us to Pacific Honda. read more

That department I rate as five stars still! See my previous rating of their service department. I walked onto the lot on Saturday just to see what cars they had that I might be interested in replacing my '17 Honda Civic Sport... I was in an accident with my car a month ago and the insurance had declared it a total. Luckily, I was not upside down and they are giving me high blue book value on it so the cash I receive I will be able to use to purchase a new car. A salesperson asked if I had been helped, and I said no, but I wasn't really expecting anyone to come out and help me, so initially I was quite happy to have a salesperson. Unfortunately, that is where the customer service ends! I asked the pricing of a few vehicles, and he had to keep unfolding his list to look up the pricing. Once he gave me the price he would fold and put it away in his pocket. I let him know there were a few others I would like the price and mileage on and he was very exasperated to have to continually retrieve his price list. I requested to look inside the cars and he was happy to open them but then he said, quite rudely, "we're not doing a test drive! We're not doing those right now! So don't ask to be test-driving because we are not doing that. You have to make a separate appointment to meet with someone before we even think about doing that!" At what point did I ever suggest going on a test drive, much less I certainly did not want to go on a test drive with anybody either! Then I asked the range of financing APR they had going for a special. I gave him an example credit score that I have and I asked him, if he were to verify that was my credit score, what would be the approximate APR range. He was quite rude, replying he would have to check what my credit score really is before he gave me any information. I told him I realized that I just wanted to compare with other dealerships & credit unions' APR's. I told him this is my 12th car, I understand how it works, and that it was just information not a contract and I wouldn't hold him to the APR that he gave me verbally. Good Lord, give me some information! He was very condescending, abrupt, and really didn't feel like making a sale! When I inquired about one car, he pointed to another one and said it was a better deal because it had less mileage. I told him I didn't like the color of the other car and his response was it was still a better deal and I should look at it regardless of color. What?! I'm not spending $20,000 on a car that I don't like the color! Needless to say, this interaction did not go well and he thoroughly turned me off buying any car, new or used, from Honda Windward. I'm sure Tony Honda would appreciate my business, or Hyundai, or Nissan, or even Toyota! I'm sure any dealership would appreciate my business so I guess I will go to a friendlier one, even if it is not as convenient location as I live here in Ka'a'awa. But I am willing to travel mileage & time for exceptional customer service! I'm very happy to see that Honda Windward is doing so well that they don't need my family's business, nor my friends, nor my colleagues whom I will definitely share my experience with, along with the other yelpers who look up reviews! read more

I could take it or leave it on the selection of hybrids they have left. Wifey and I told the salesman, Huey (sp?), that we were lookin ahead for a hybrid since my commute is far for work. Wifey told him we were lookin to save money on gas and bring down our monthly payments on a lease. Told him I test drove the Accord Hybrid at the Autoplex and now wifey wants a try. He was eager to help us find something for wifey to test drive. They didn't have one on the small lot in the front. So he drove us to Kapaa Quarry Rd to their spare lot that had about 400ish vehicles. That lot was huge, but on gravel. Looks like most of their vehicles on that spare lot have been sitting there for a long while. By lookin at the safety sticker on the one we test drove it might have been sitting since about March this year. Holy cow! Wifey liked how it drove, but still was hesitant on the style since she had mostly compact cars for the last 10+ yrs. After we got back to the main dealership, Huey asked if we wanted to see what numbers he could come up with for the 2017 hybrids they have now since there's some kinda rebate thingy happening now. He emphasized that we didn't have to commit to anything now once he showed us the costs. So we went inside and showed us the prices on the Accord Hybrids Touring and EX-L standard. Holy cow... again! You're lookin at about $37K for basic and $40K for the touring (more luxury style). Then he asks how much we were payin for our current car and all the good stuff... blah blah blah. This is where I started tuning him out cause I was gettin a lil irritated. After all we told him we weren't gonna buy now and lookin for early next year when our current lease is up. Ohh I was jus bitting my tongue and letting wifey talk. She gave him the info he needed and he went off to ask his manager what the monthly payments would be. I looked at wifey and rolled my eyes. He's one slick buggah. Oh well, wifey wanted to know and we were betting about $500 per month. Ohh we're we wrong!! Because my commute to work is far {{work is about 70 miles per weekday and some weekends}} we'd have to put a lot of mileage. {{We guessed on about 24K/year. Today, I went in for an oil change and a multi-point inspection. I am completely blown away that I was in and out within 25 minutes. HOWEVER, even though I was told by the service advisor that they added pressure to my tires, as I drove to Kapolei, my low tire pressure light flashed on. I personally checked the tire pressures and it was low. I would have returned but ended up going to Costco in Kapolei. Hence, the deduction of one star. I've experienced 5 different Honda dealerships and service departments in 4 different states (Hawaii, California, Georgia, and Arkansas). My dad purchased my very first Honda at Honda Windward and another at Honda Concord. The service was beyond spectacular at Honda Windward compared to Honda Concord. Going in for car maintenance/service, I always have the mindset of preparing to wait for two hours and to be tricked into all the possible options to maintain the car. Staff was courteous; offer was ludicrous. I was ready to buy a new vehicle; all they had to do was make a reasonable offer. I had been very satisfied with Costco Auto program used twice on mainland to buy cars for thousands under MSRP. Honda Windward posts an on-line MSRP that looks reasonable, but when you visit dealership, MSRP is inexplicably more than 10% higher (about $4,000 more). Pre-negotiated Costco price is just $500 below MSRP; guess which MSRP dealership uses as baseline? Hint: it's not the lower one that appears on their web site. I guess I might have been better off just relying on their internet price (assuming they would even honor it). But based on their insulting initial offer, I wasn't about to engage in protracted negotiations to whittle down the price. The whole point of the Costco Auto program is you don't have to do that -- you are supposed to get the best value straight up, no nonsense. Worst part, though, was being offered a meager $2,000 for a 2012 Toyota Prius with only 34,000 miles as trade-in. Blue Book trade-in value is around $9,000 to $11,000. You would think that a dealer that has hundreds of new cars awaiting sale might show a little more interest in building customer rapport and closing the deal. But you would be wrong. read more

Been dealing with Honda Windward for 15 years and got to say I just left very disappointed tonight. I went to get a new car and trade in my lease. I got emails from them telling me what my trade in was worth, but got the "bait and switch" treatment. The offer was over a thousand dollars lower than the low end of the estimate. We even have 1200 less miles on our current crv. I was surprised to see that with them. The sales person kept telling me the offer I got was a marketing offer, but it was from Honda Windward. Actually, it was the Internet that brought me in: - Windward participates with car-buying services. - Windward also participates with the Costco car buying program. - Curtis Gibson and Bob Laudick were professional and follow-up with automated e-mails at regular intervals. Like other dealerships, the car buying experience starts with the crowd of sales guys huddled together outside of the dealership near the entrance, watching prey come willingly towards them. Bob wasn't available, so Curtis greeted me and had Dalton Mills help me instead. As a former Navy man, Dalton doesn't fit the car salesman stereotype. He doesn't schmooze you over. He kept our test drive short but he was professional, kept to the point, and tried his best to help from the financial and practical perspectives. He didn't try to pressure me one way or the other, nor with unnecessary follow-ups. Thankfully, I was not forced to speak with any other sales folks during the visit and so the experience stayed positive. The dealership is a little smaller than the other two on Oahu and customers have to park on a downhill driveway, but the people are what make the difference here. So I could be a believer...if I were to go back to Honda Windward, I would be happy to work with Dalton (or Bob or Curtis) to make a deal happen! read more

I went to the Honda Windward site and was helped online by Jennifer. I need to replace my key fob battery and was wondering if I had to make a service appointment or if I could just pop in. She texted she could help me with an appointment. I said, "Thank you." Then she texted me the service department phone number to make an appointment. Essentially, make the appointment yourself, and I have to guess that also means that you can't just pop in as she never said. Don't bother with the online help--it's really not. UPDATE: Called Tony Honda to see about scheduling a service call to get a battery for my key fob. Lady who answered, sorry, don't remember her name, told me that I did NOT need to schedule a service call. Just go to the Parts Dept and they will install a new battery for me. Went to Tony Honda and was pleasantly surprised at all the customer service parking vice Honda Windward with no customer parking. Probably the most pathetic dealership I have ever dealt with. I purchased a vehicle from this location and had a mediocre at best, buying experience. Then not even 2 weeks after me purchasing the vehicle, it started to overheat. I informed the dealer and they advised me to bring into their service center. after the vehicle sat for 3 days, I was told it was ready. The techs were unable replicate my issue (I informed them that the vehicle might be leaking coolant and it was showing low.) the vehicle was not ready due to incompetence. The techs could not get my breathalyzer device reset even though they were provided clear instructions by the manufacturer on how to bypass and reinstall it. This took an additional 5 days to get my vehicle back after constant pressuring for them to get this fixed. Once i received my vehicle, less than 2 days later it started overheating. At this point the dealership refused to help me address the issue and began trying to wash their hands of the issue. I was ignored, and received no calls back or responses to emails I sent. Once I finally did hear back, the sales manager Craig proceeded to condescend to me about the nature of a used, as- is vehicle and how his shop (a glorified jiffy lube) couldnt handle the issue. Not only did they ignore me and not check the leak out, they proceeded to blame me for the issue as if I was making it up. At no point were any of my requests unreasonable. Absolutely disappointed with Honda Windward. Traded in my lease for a used car. They never disclosed that it was previously in an accident, so when trying to sell my current car the value is much lower. Since they never disclosed that information, I would have reconsidered buying that car. Secondly, I brought it in for a repair regarding the AC and briefly mentioned that my back vent did not blow air. When I brought it in to be serviced, they ONLY partially fixed the back vent and actually broke a part that will eventually not work in the future. And then they never addressed the actual AC issue. I used to always come to Honda Windward for buying and repairing our cars but I have lost complete trust with them because of my experience throughout the years. read more

Set up an online appointment for a specific service and ended up getting a bunch of other services when I checked out. The line items were not reviewed with me prior to handing over my keys. Not to mention the original problem was not fixed and was diagnosed incorrectly. I still ended up being charged $800 to get fluff services and leave without the original issue being fixed. Just terrific...Talk about employees who care about their customers. Shameful sounds about right. read more

Called the dealership to complain about how I was treated when checking in for my service and spoke to Dalton the service manager. He said he would comp my entire service the next time I come in. I still don't feel like coming back to Honda Windward as this was the second time someone had messed up my appointment. The first time they messed up I had issues with my sliding door window on the drivers side not rolling up the service advisor notated the wrong window (front passenger door) completely wrong window and the technicians worked on the wrong window for 2 hours. I say save your time and money and go to another Honda service center. Wasted my time, gas, and ruined my birthday on Monday. read more
