Terrible customer service. This is my 3rd time visiting this location of Honest and each time the service has been terrible. Before I used to brush it off as it being a new restaurant and they are still working out their kinks but now they have been open for over a 6 months and they still haven't figured out how to manage. Yesterday we went to eat and it was the two of us. One of us ordered the pav bhaji and other ordered the thali. The thali was brought out first and my friend started eating they were almost half way done and no pav bhaji in sight. We asked the server and he said they are backed up in the kitchen. How does that make sense! You are a pav bhaji restaurant it should be the first thing you should have ready. I had to threaten to cancel my order for them to finally bring out my food. The pav bhaji was mediocre. I would recommend anyone who wants to have Honest to go to the Hicksville location. This location needs to work on their food and management skills. read more

Came with family the other day and food was mediocre. Mango lassi tasted off. Chinese bhel was oily asf. Paper dosa was ok but nothing standout. Navratan korma was just super sweet and couldn't get past the sugary taste. Dry naan. Manchurian gravy seemed microwaved. But the creme de la creme moment was when I saw a lady by the counter making stacks of sandwiches and she dropped a slice with chutney on to the disgusting carpeted area. First off - please get employees that can communicate with those of us not fortunate enough to speak only Hindi or Gujarati. I can't even ask a question as the language barriers lead me to believe I'm getting a yes without really understanding my question. Second - please get a jain menu. If you offer up options but you aren't sure what is jain and question yourself when I ask you If the masala uttapam is jain...how can I trust it is when you finally say I think it is. Now onto my food. We ordered a dish. I asked when it was brought out if this was the right dish as it looked like it was missing some of the ingredients listed on the menu. I asked another person and he kept disagreeing it was my dish. A third person brought out the right dish while he was there and finally he said you are right that is not the correct dish. I mean cmon. Why are you telling me the dish is wrong and I have to prove it you when you yourself don't know what your dishes look like. The uttapam was hard and the soup base was the same base as the rasam and the spicy gravy for the noodles. No ice. Paper products was all the rage and the service was subpar. Cmon guys. Pretty good better than traveling all the way to Hicksville for traditional Indian food. The prices are a little high, for sandwiches just to grill they charge an additional dollar which is ridiculous. The Mysore Masala Dosa crepe was not even spicy or warm and the Dahi Puri order was soggy and fell apart in the container. Two of the Puri did not even have any potatoes. Instead of double cheese pizza they gave me indian style bhakari pizza where they used tamarind dates chutney normally used in chaats instead of pizza sauce. They charge a 15% service fee for 5+ guests without giving any good service on top of their unreasonable prices. One chaat is 10 dollars and their other food is dry and gross. We found a hair in our chaat. A few months ago I ordered takeout from here and found a hair in my food but didn't think much of it. I ordered from doordash, happy to have found lots of vegan options. I ordered the divine yellow lentils and it looked nothing like the picture. I got mainly liquid and not much of lentils. Also asked for medium spicy but it was really really spicy. I had to eat the order in 2 meals so my stomach can handle it but the flavor was good. Their dine in service is horrible. The staff is inconsiderate and have no regards of checking in on their guest to see if they need anything. I asked for water twice and never received it. The server who was serving us seemed like she was doing us a favor taking our order and never bothered to care. Absolutely loved the paneer sizzler and the manchow soup. But the Manchurian has extremely small portions (3 dumplings total) and cut a lot of corners with Sambar and chutney. First my family and I went to Honest in Hicksville which is the first one to open. My wife had a staple in her food and when we told the server and ask her to call the manager she took the staple out my wife's hand and said managers not in. No apologies or anything. Second location was the new one on Hillside ( Floral Park) on December 31st we ordered takeout. Once we got home we found a hair in samosa chaat. I got these picture to prove it. Horrible horrible horrible! The first time I went there I got Jalebis. They are extremely sweet and otherwise just about ok, so this one is about preference. I got an order of chole poori. The chole (chickpeas) were hard, almost raw. The poori was nothing but a well of oil. I discarded everything and called in to complain. The staff was so unhelpful and thought this was a joke. When I finally got hold of a responsible person they said I could get an even exchange so I got a pav bhaji. I was honestly better off not getting anything. This is like self inflicted torture.
