I have never had a bad meal at Honey & Vine! (we have dined there several times) Last night we ordered the fried shrimp and shishito peppers appetizer and it was delicious! For my entree I ordered the porkchop dinner. Ordered it well done. It was cooked to perfection! Very juicy and flavorful!! We had creme Brule for dessert and it did not disappoint! Wow! The food from appetizers to the entree was amazing! mouthwatering and delectable Don't even come close! The chicken lemon orzo soup, caesar salad, shrimp and shishito peppers for appetizers were phenomenal! Ribeye steak was cooked to perfection and perfect by itself, but then you add the bordelaise or the compound butter...chefs kiss! Lobster was large and divine with the compound butter as well paired with the butter whipped mashed potatoes and OMG orgasm in your mouth doesn't even describe it! I had a gingerbread espresso martini and the hubs had a smoked old fashion Which were delicious! What topped this meal off was the customer service from Mark! Such an amazing date night dinner! Been wanting to try this new casino and finally did. Not sure I would return. Waited 25 mins at the table before anyone acknowledged we were there. Ordered cocktails they took a long time to arrive. $16 per cocktail and nothing special. Food order came quickly. The Filet Mignon and skirt steak were very tasty and meat tender. 9/3/23 The brunch was amazing first of all, the atmosphere was packed of energy from the employees to the DJ Our waitress was Amanda, she is such an Angel very attentive, told us what she recommended. I highly recommend her if she's in the restaurant, not saying anything bad about the rest of the wait staff it's just that's who served us today... As a customer I highly recommend everything on the brunch menu, I had the Huevos Rancheros which is the first picture, it's jammed packed of flavor, a little spicy for my liking but overall I'd have it again whenever I go back I also got the Chicken & Waffles, it was a table favorite. It was so delicious nothing was left on the plate. And lastly my brother got the Grind House Burger which comes with a fried egg, you can't go wrong with a fried egg on anything, of course he loved it told me that even with the burger being cooked medium well it was still juicy. I will give it 4 stars for now, based on potential. I want to give it 5, but a lot has to be changed soon; management needs to pay closer attention to a few things. Food is good, but ambiance needs to be better. Too many servers walking around on a slow Wednesday night, send some of the staff home if there are only 2 tables in the restaurant and its 8pm. Ensure kitchen staff chatter cannot be heard from the dining room. Allow the staff to taste all of the menu items so they can be able to describe it to guests. If the restaurant has only 2 tables seated, why isn't the manager asking guests how their experience is? That personal connection goes a long way. Bartender was really nice, but I was sad that I was her only customer all night. Casino is beautiful and new but this restaurant needs to be better. read more

How to ruin up a brand new restaurant/concept instantly: by Gila River! This place is an utter joke in virtually every respect! From horrid greeting/host making you feel unwelcome and a burden to disgusting food to horrid views; this place is a disaster! First off, need to get this out of the way: you would think that a window seat at a restaurant is a good thing? Not here!! The windows face the entrance to the casino...they had an opportunity to have a restaurant that faces the mountains! Someone should be fired for that decision. And what's even worse? The casino thought it would be a good idea to allow smoking right there in front next to the windows of their restaurant!! So the whole time everyone is watching people gather and smoke, throw their butts at the window, literally scratch their ass and/or crotch. The food is horrid! The crab cake is a ball of uncooked dough with almost no crab. What crab that was in there tasted bad! The pork is over cooked and comes with corn drowning in oil with a cornbread-talk about lack of common sense making that dish! As for service: the host was unfriendly, and slow and made it seem a burden that she had to seat us! No greeting, no welcome, nothing. And just stands and hands you a menu like if it is the worst thing ever!! The only average thing was our server was at least nice and personable. But the service was average. Never got a refill of water, never came back for another drink, no dessert offered! So we just left. So you get all that, bad food and a bad show for a ridiculous price of about $100pp. The whole management needs to be fired! And all those poor attitudes as well! read more

Overall a wonderful experience and will be happy to return! My husband & I visited Honey & Vine on a Sunday evening at 9pm (they close at 10). We were greeted with a warm welcome and seated promptly- the hostess even asked whether we prefer a booth or a table (a very nice gesture considering the restaurant was quite empty). Our server, Viktoriia, was attentive, professional, and kind. I had some minor dietary restrictions as I recently had my wisdom teeth removed, and was looking for some softer food options. She answered all of my questions and accommodated wonderfully!! We started out with the Honey Whipped Feta appetizer (the sourdough bread was pretty toasty so our server was so kind to also give some pieces that were not toasted for me!) it was absolutely delicious and a generous portion size. Would definitely order again. Hubby enjoyed the filet which was cooked to his liking and a nice cut. We are usually quite hesitant to try steaks in restaurants that do not necessarily specialize in meats but we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality here. I ordered the creamy mascarpone polenta and sautéed spinach & kale- (soft and easy to eat) they are both "sides" and were generously portioned. A bit lackluster as far as seasoning goes but nevertheless, still tasty. We also enjoyed a few glasses of wine- the overall selection is not as extensive as some places but the options they do have are great. Pretty good dessert options as well but we opted to save that for another night! The ambience of the restaurant was so enjoyable- the color scheme is refreshing and the layout is very open and looks beautiful! We were very lucky to have had the place to ourselves. During a busy dinner rush, I can see how the place may feel a bit cramped. We finished up dinner around 9:50pm (10 minutes before closing) but were never rushed or felt pressured to leave. I will always try something once. This place inside of Gila River Casino san Tan. Now, being a casino we expected outrageous prices. The server was attentive and thurough. The resturant itself is nt a bad looking place but kind of feels like you're eating inside a gymnasium.. Now the food. For starters we ordered the lump crab caake with the spicy slaw and the wagyu meatballs. Good portion size for the meatballs, but they weren't anything special, and my wife actually said my homemade meatballs were better than these. The cab cake (only 1) was just ok and the spicy slaw was pretty good. For dinner we ordered the flat iron steak with bearnaise suace and truffel fries. Very dissapointed. Steak was ordered medium and when it arrived it was basically no pink at all, pretty much cooked well done. The fries would of tasted good it they arrived hot to the table, tow side bowls of gloopy bearinase sauce and the other was ketchup. add two gkasses of wine for a grand total of $142.00 before tip. I've never left a negative review, so even 3 stars is a tough one for me. I just want to start with, I truly enjoy visiting this new casino. It's only a few minutes from my mother's house and the staff/security is always very efficient and also incredibly friendly. I did run into a small hiccup tonight at Honey and Vine. We hadn't tried their restaurant yet and I suggested we should give it shot as we were celebrating a friend's birthday, why drive across town right? The hostess was gracious and seated us right away. We ordered a few cocktails, the lump crab cake, mussels with toasted crostinis and meatballs (they were cool and red in the middle but we did not complain) Also had their skirt steak with mashed potatoes and broccolini all to share. Our server, I believe his name was Sane was such a gentleman, 5 stars for service. Now, here's the problem. Bread plate, $10 ok no problem. 2 pieces of sourdough, jalapeño cornbread (no thank you) and I believe some sweet brioche buns. We only asked for a few more pieces of sourdough or crostinis to enjoy the rest of our sauces. That was a hard no apparently. Our poor server knew this request couldn't be made but I insisted he ask. A female manager came out and said that we would have to pay another $10 just for more sourdough bread as they were pre-portioned? There were literally four other tables in the whole restaurant at 7:45 pm. You lost my business by nickel and diming over something so small as bread. As a hospitality worker for over 25 years, the little things will truly make or break your business. We were going to stay for another drink and dessert but we were done. Memorial Day weekend my wife and I wanted to try the Honey & Vine restaurant, located inside Gila River Casino San Tan, for breakfast brunch. We arrived and were promptly sat at a comfortable table. Our server was Antwinette. She was pleasant and took our drink orders immediately. For breakfast I chose Prime Rib Hash with Sunny-side up eggs - my wife ordered the Omelette. Our orders came within 15 minutes. My Prime Rib Hash with Sunny side up eggs was Prime Rib Hash with no yoke eggs. My wife's omelette was served with five whole potatoes, no seasoning just five WHOLE potatoes. I asked my server if she thought my eggs were Sunny Side up. She laughed and said absolutely not. She took my eggs and went back to the chef to order new eggs. Five minutes later I had eggs that were properly cooked Sunny Side up eggs. Unfortunately, by this time most of my hash was eaten. I don't understand how a chef could let an order go out that was not properly cooked. The service by Antwinette was excellent and ambiance was nice but the food has a long way to go. We came here for my parent's 42nd wedding anniversary and had a very nice time! The ambiance was nice, especially around sunset! Brittani was very attentive, catered to our every request, and was open with us when asked for opinions or if there was an extra charge for something. We enjoyed ourselves and splurged extra beyond the photos I did capture but i definitely wanted to take some to share since I noticed there wasn't much on here (Yelp) yet. We splurged on appetizers and loved the Honey Whipped Feta. There was a fried seafood appetizer that provided nice portions and the bread appetizer was a delight. My parents ate a filet and I had a prime rib, both were delicious! If we were to leave anything constructive outside of a great experience, it's that Mom liked her scallops but not so much the beans that came with. Will definitely return. We had such a nice meal. Our server, Robert, was so kind and attentive and knew everything about the menu. He made the meal because he clearly loves what he does and was very passionate about the food. It was refreshing! Our meals were great! We enjoyed a few drinks, charcuterie appetizer, salmon and chicken shawarma - all were great!! And for the quality of food, I felt the price was very fair. The food is always great and the service is typically really good. Alisha is one of our favorite servers, she's always super friendly and upbeat. The only downside I would say is we come for the pasta (bolognese) but they only have it every now and then. Robert was our excellent server. We started with the bread basket and oh man it was all good, the sourdough was my favorite followed by the cornbread(the butter is so good). For entree we had the filet and burger and it was amazing, I think I enjoyed it more than the steak at Gordon Ramseys in Vegas delicious at half the price! Went here for a family night out and it just kept getting more and more unimpressive as our dinner went on. Our waiter was nice but slow. The restaurant was pretty empty but drinks and food took forever to come out; We were enjoying each other's company so we kindly waited. When you go to a high end restaurant, you expect a certain quality of food and when our food came out, we were all pretty hesitant. There were 7 of us and we ALL looked at each other like "Wait? Is this really our food?". We were all hungry because over an hour had passed since we were seated. We tried but only 1 meal was finished. One plate was a steak ordered medium well that came out completely cold and raw in the middle. That plate was sent back then it returned only to be cooked slightly more. After it was brought back to the table the manager said she was going to "wait and watch" while we ate to make sure everything was to our liking. We just said we didn't want it anymore. At this point, we knew dinner was a lost cause. The bisque tasted like tomato paste in a bowl, the steak was VERY undercooked, the scallops were chewy, the Caesar salad is not a Caesar, there was bad lettuce in the salad, and the rice was incredibly crunchy like they threw it in a pot of water and then immediately took it out and served it. To make matters worse, when asked how dinner was, we explained how things could definitely improve and instead of comping any of our terrible $400 bill, we were offered a "comment card" that was a little mini satisfaction survey and what they could do better. When we were seated, there weren't a lot of people so we thought we would get our food right away. We ordered our drinks, ordered our food right away, and began to wait. We noticed people who came in after us got their food before we did. The waitress reassured us we would be getting our food soon but in total we waited an hour and finally got our food. I ordered medium rare and my filet mignon was medium well. We had date night and had a timeframe of when we needed to be back home to our children. So I really wanted to be super impressed with the new fancy sitdown restaurant at the brand-new Gila River Indian Community casino, San Tan Mountain. While the casino facility itself is beautiful inside and out, the Honey & Vine was a bit of a disappointment. It was way more expensive than I expected it to be--about $30-40 a person--and they didn't even list prices for the beverages, probably because if you have to ask you can't afford it. We were waiting for friends to meet us there, so we first walked around the casino to get the lay of the land and discovered that it was $4 for a soda at the "food court" (three fast-food concept restaurants with a small common seating area). I remember the days when casinos offered water, coffee and soda complementary as a loss leader to get people in the door! What happened to that concept? Look, it really is a beautiful building and gorgeously appointed, but they still need to work through some of the kinds in their food service department. I'm sure they did their demographic research in advance, but why don't they offer a mid-range restaurant in between this fancy sitdown joint and the fast-food cash-and-carry ones? I don't think too many people who live in the area are going to be able to afford Honey & Vine on more than a very rare, special-occasion type basis. When you go to their Wildhorse Pass casino there are eating choices galore in all price ranges! But let's focus on Honey & Vine for now. The lady at the front desk asked if we had a reservation; I did not even know they took reservations. She asked how many people we had and when I said five she acted like it would be a really long wait. I saw on her iPad seating app and just by glancing around the room several round booths that were available or could be quickly bused and would easily seat five people who don't mind touching elbows occasionally. Instead, we were told the wait was 25 minutes (and I heard some servers say that after use it would 45 minutes' wait for everyone) and were eventually given a text (which was nice) but a too-large table for six that was right in front of the entrance to the restaurant and ended up becoming a gigantic wind tunnel target about halfway through our meal. The person getting the brunt of the onslaught had allergies and asthma and was really struggling with her symptoms, even after I complained and asked if they could turn down the "wind" at all. The server acted like there was nothing they could do about it. Also, it may have been quieter in the restaurant than in the casino at large--quite a bit quieter--but when the wind turbine started up it was quite loud and hard to carry on a conversation. The only thing complementary on the menu was water, which oddly was served out of metal pourers some of the time and glass bottles other times. Even a pan of fresh bread was like $12 (five servings). I think they could really improve business and people's first impressions by offering at least the bread complementary. Moreover, there were VERY few entrees on the printed menu, and none included side dishes like soup. I had to order that separately. One person in our group did get the salmon (a pickleball size piece of meat) and it had a side salad. The linguini with "sun-dried tomatoes" was ordered by me and one other person because it was one of the few vegetarian options. It arrived very clumpy (pasta stuck together) and there were no sun-dried tomatoes in sight; a couple cut-up grape tomatoes for garnish, but that was it. I was the only one who ordered a cocktail--boss margarita, I think it was called--and, while it was fairly good (I especially liked the tajin powder around the rim, which is different from the usually rock salt), it was advertised as coming in a special glass that could be purchased, but the waitress said they were "out" of the glasses(?) so I would have to come back another time if I wanted to drink something out of one and consider purchasing it. They didn't even have a picture of the glass to look at. The whole thing was kind of weird. The service was VERY slow; we were there for two and a half hours not because we were lingering after dinner but because that's how long it took to get our food and eat it. Food is always excellent and normally the service is great. On New Years Day II made a reservation for 4:45 pm, we got there at 4:35. It was not busy at all. We had Ryan as our server, he took our order for salad and our meal, his timing and delivery of our meal took over 45 minutes. The salad was excellent, but our meal took another 45 minutes for us to have it served. We requested dessert (cheesecake) another 20 minutes. Total time at the restaurant was from 4:35 - 6:40 pm. Thankfully we had a friendly couple seated next to us that entertained us with them noticing how long we had been waiting on our meal and dessert. Ryan made excuses for the poor service saying the ticket got messed up in their electronic system. I would have asked for a Manager to complain regarding his service, my husband requested a discount and were given a Military Discount ( he is a Veteran) J just want others to be aware if you have a friendly Server but does not deliver Great Service request a Manager. This is a new Restaurant trying to establish themselves with loyal clientele. It may be awhile before my husband and I dine there again. They did offer us a free slice of cake to make up for the improperly prepared steaks. No one bothered to check and see if we needed refills on our drinks. When we asked for our check so we could leave it took longer to get our check, then it did for them to bring our food. I really wanted to like this place but.... Let's start off with the positives, it's clean (it's brand new) the staff was very friendly and attentive. Now to get into it, it's so new the staff has no clue what the food looks like, taste like, other than the menu descriptions. If you ask, "have you seen this come out, what does it look like?" they haven't seen it and they are clueless. HAVE ALL YOUR STAFF SAMPLE SO THEY CAN SPEAK TO IT, or at least have pictures for them in the kitchen. The food was good for the most part but for the price it's not worth it. Whoever designed the menu should be fired! The pricing is all over the place. Do you want to be high end or do you want to be casual dining? Either way I'm not paying more money for a half pound burger for dinner than I am for lunch. You're already starting by charging $22 for a hamburger, but I can get a filet for double? What makes a $22 burger better based on the time of day? I could understand if the portions were bigger but it's still a half pound. Same thing goes for various sides and other entrees that magically go up when you order them for dinner. Not a great way to inspire confidence in your customers and make them want to eat there. Food is by fair really fresh and tasty. I did wait about 30 minutes for a chicken but this chicken was smothered in flavor and cooked to perfection while being perfectly moist with every bite. The 30 minutes were well worth the wait. The place was busy the day I went in so I'll focus on the food for this rating. Had reservations for 7pm on Valentine's Day. Got there early. Tons of people standing at the entrance waiting to be seated. Most people that were standing there left, they all said they had been waiting to be seated for over an hour. Many people also left that were at tables, they said they had been waiting for their food for over an hour. Wife and I decided to leave and cancel our reservation. Went to Abuelos by Chandler mall.
