It's very delicious and also serve with rice paper so you can wrap with it as well. Service here is absolutely very good. No complaint at all. Everyone is nice and attentive. Ambience it's very clean and a lot of chairs and tables, you can go in a big group and they can always set the table for a huge party. My go to place. Food is good; I came for the baked fish (ca nuong) and la lot. I appreciate that they will refill ingredients for the rolls (eg. Vegetables and rice paper). Service was slow but they only had like 2 servers at best for an entire restaurant. We were trying to be as patient as possible. Very disappointed! Saw a youtuber came here and his two bowls of Pho looked amazing. Full of meat and toppings. We ordered ox tail Pho ($16). It had exactly two small pieces of ox tail vs 4 big ones with the youtuber. We also ordered ribeye pho ($20). It had exactly 4 small pieces of meat. Cant believe they want to charge $20 for this. Very little meat, very little noodle, soup is too salty. And very pricey too. I have eaten thousand of bowls of Pho in my lifetime, this probably the worst one ever. Still very hungry after finishing my bowl of Pho. This never happened before. Very disappointed. Dont like the fact they gave so much to those youtubers and our bowls had barely anything. The average: we ordered 7 course beef and another order rare beef salad (bò lá chanh) and Vietnamese phin coffee. The 7 course beef was comparable to other competitors like Thien An. The bad: rare beef salad lacks the umami flavor, and the beef's quality was not there. The ugly: Vietnamese coffee was horrible. It's made from pre-packaged powder instant coffee pouches and not 'phin' as stated on the menu. I know these are instant coffee right away because I drank a lot of them during college days. Within this humble exterior is a fantastic dining experience. 7 courses of beef is a series of simple yet flavorful courses of, you guessed it, meat. From grill it yourself meats you wrap up in rolls to meatballs, sausages, salads, and everything in between each course that comes through looks humble but packs so much flavor to it that it just soars on your tastebuds. Staff here is friendly and helpful and, even with a large party like ours (9 plus a high chair), and a double order of every course, still find a way to place everything on the table without overcrowding. It's amazing. The interior of the restaurant is much more welcoming and warm than their previous location. Tables are spaced out enough that you won't feel cramped and will be able to move around as needed. The only downside I would say is that there is limited parking for the shopping area. If you come for a later dinner, you might be better off because you can park in other store spots that have since closed for the night. But if you come during normal business hours, just be advised. We stopped by to order two dishes for take out as we were in the area and it was a little early for dinner. We lie the taste of their dishes more than the current restaurant on the Brookhurst/Westminster. The price went up a little bit as everything else now and day. Came here for dinner last night with a large party. We were excited to check out this new location since its closer to our relatives but were left underwhelmed. PARKING: Limited spaces. This spot took over an old bar so the parking is very unpaved and shared with a neighboring seafood restaurant. RESTAURANT: Feels very family oriented with large booths and big tables that can accommodate large parties. Space is a bit cramped and they don't have their AC on half of the time. We were sweating from the body heat. MENU: Similar menu to other 7 Courses of Beef restaurants. A good variety of family styled entrees to share. FOOD: We ordered two orders of the fried catfish, the Bo La Lot, Bo Mo Chay, and a dish with steamed beef and mushrooms. The fried catfish came out in a timely manner. Very shareable portions. The fish was cooked well, very meaty and had crispy skin. We had to get about another 2 plates of veggies to pair with the fish. As for their other beef dishes, it took awhile to come out. The meat was piping hot but lacked any depth or flavor. It almost felt rushed, as the meat felt a little undercooked. OVERALL EXPERIENCE: It was very average. The service was slow and we found some of our dishes dirty. There was still a piece of red onion in one of our dipping trays. We definitely questioned the cleanliness. Welcome back Hong An! Yes they are the same one before Thien An at corner Brookhurst/Westminster. We went the weekend they just opened. The inside place is ok, used to be Tam's restaurant. They might be under-staffed because everything was very slow. Veggies, sauces, napkins are not given until reminded several times. The sauce (mam nem) was a little thick and salty for me. And it lingered because they probably did not mix it with pineapple or adjust it. If you like mam nem thick and as it is, then it will be good for you. The goi bo tom (beef shrimp salad) was just ok. The shrimp was not very fresh or too cold. The bo nuong vi is good. Hopefully everything will be better once they get a better hang of everything. I'll be back to support them :) read more

Honestly, this was a very disappointing experience.I came in on 6/22 because they had a big sign advertising 20% off, but when it came time to pay, the discount was no longer being applied. I do not mind paying full price, but at least be honest and upfront. Do not leave a discount sign up to bring people in and then tell customers the deal is no longer valid. That feels misleading and shady, especially for new customers. The food was also not worth the higher price. Their combo had exactly 3 slices of razor-thin beef brisket. Three. The meat was so thin and so little that it felt almost insulting. If you are going to raise prices, the portion should at least be fair. Overall, this place felt dishonest with the pricing and cheap with the portions. I left feeling like I got tricked by the sign and shorted on the food. There are plenty of better places nearby that are more honest and give you better value. I would not recommend this place. read more

Hồng ân on Westminster blvd is one of my favorite place that I like to invite friends and family to for dinner, but they was closed for a while. Finally, I heard over the grape vines that they move to here and will do soft opening on Wednesday, July 2. This is their first day any there were alot of customers already. Their decoration are nice, bright and simple. Service poeple are very friendly, polite and helpful. Of course, the food still as good as before. My favorite item is the cá nướng (grill fish), it skins is so thin and crunchy but inside is still moist. I almost forgot to mention their famous 7 course of beef. My favorite items are bò nhúng dấm and bò lá lốp. My wife like most of the dishes. I found that they also offer beer and other dishes beside the beef for poeple that like to drink (1,2,3 dzô !), lol.
