Cơm tấm bì chả sườn nướng
    Julie H.

Ordered bún thịt nướng chả giò for lunch. Portion was generous enough that I was able to make two meals out of it. The fish sauce and egg roll had a lighter, more subtle flavor compared to what I'm used to. I personally would have preferred a bit more depth and seasoning, but maybe others may like this taste. Overall, it was worth trying, though I'd probably stick with their cơm tấm dishes next visit.

Gave someone my order and gave a fuss and a hassle to give me my food. Wanted to give the food that RANDOM strangers took out of the restaurant back which is unsanitary and unacceptable. Took their time to get back to us even after we told them we were in a rush. Usually I would give grace but this was very disappointing....

My mom loved this place & I'd bring her the special Com Tam Kieu Giang, which basically is an amazing combo plate of Egg Cake, shredded pork, juicy pork chop, sausage, pickled and regular veggies, & Chinese sausage. It also comes with a light soup & a house fish sauce for flavoring the rice/meat. It's funny but I've actually never tried it myself till recently. I went ahead and ordered my mom's favorite & I could really understand why she loved it so much. Everything was juicy, tasty, and savory & sipping the soup felt like home. A bit on the more expensive side for a Com Tam dish compared to other places, but I will say this made two meals for me. Food is great, and I'm grateful that this place served many amazing meals for my mom in her lifetime. Logistics: Lots of parking, seating is an old Asian restaurant style, great for takeout.

Meat is plentiful & I love how they pack you the broth on the side. Ordered DoorDash to the hotel & wanted some broken rice place, seen that this place was nearby so I took a chance. So glad I did, everything was flavorful & on point. The meat was cooked very well & I love how they give enough rice/meat ratio. 10/10 recommend

Soliddd com tam get #10 COM TAM SUÖN hoäc THIT NUÖNG, CHA ($12) translated to Charbroiled Pork Chop or Pork BBQ & Baked Egg on Broken Rice. You won't be disappointed! Minutes after ordering, I was served a complimentary chicken broth that was a great starter. A hot bowl of soup is always so comforting for me, I felt like I was eating at home. Everything on the com tam plate was excellent! The star for me was their baked egg meatloaf. It was packed with ground pork, vermicelli, and carrots, soo tender and well seasoned. Next time, I'd order an extra serving because it was THAT GOOD. Their charbroiled pork was out of this world!! Phenomenal grilling and marinade, with the right balance of fatty and lean bites. What made this more authentic was their rice. They use real broken rice. Can't wait to return! This spot was hospitable, authentic, delicious, and affordable.

Cơm Tấm Kiều Giang is one of those places that instantly earns five stars. I first discovered them through DoorDash and immediately fell in love--but once I came in person, I realized just how much of a hidden gem this spot really is (and how much more affordable it is dining in). The menu hits all the Vietnamese classics: a solid lineup of Vietnamese appetizers, cơm tấm (broken rice), bún (vermicelli) bowls, and plenty of traditional Vietnamese drinks to round out the meal. Everything feels comforting, well-portioned, and thoughtfully prepared. What really stands out--besides the food--is the value. Prices are incredibly reasonable, especially for today: vermicelli dishes range from $12-$15, and broken rice plates from $12-$17. For the quality and portion size, it's honestly a steal. The owner was the one who took my order, and they were genuinely kind and personable, which made the experience even better. That personal touch goes a long way and really reflects the heart behind the restaurant. If you're ordering delivery, it's great--but if you can, come in person. It's noticeably cheaper and well worth it. Cơm Tấm Kiều Giang is comforting, affordable, and run with care--exactly the kind of neighborhood Vietnamese spot you want to keep coming back to.

    Pork vermicelli with egg roll

Visiting from Seattle, my wife and I stopped here before our flight back, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The portions were incredibly generous -- definitely come hungry. The presentation of the food was also beautifully done and made everything feel even more enjoyable. One thing that really stood out to me was the topping in the vermicelli bowl. It added a nice extra crunch and flavor that you just don't really find back in Seattle, and it made the dish feel unique and memorable. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, and the food came out surprisingly quickly considering the portion sizes. I believe the owner was there that morning as well, and you could really feel the care and attention given to customers. The restaurant itself was also very clean, organized, and comfortable. The atmosphere felt warm and inviting without being overwhelming, and everything from the dining area to the overall presentation of the space showed attention to detail. It made for a really relaxing meal before traveling home.

This place was actually surprisingly pretty good. I really like the marinade on the pork chop. My only complaint was their tau hu ky were small in my opinion. But other than that food is good and comes out fast.

    Wendy H.

Their family is always very nice and fast. Food is always hot and tasty. Their prices are very competitive for such portions. The restaurant is small but clean and organized. One of my favorite places in Garden Grove :)

    Broken Rice Combo #1 $17
    Maggie C.

Com Tam Kieu Giang is a small mom and pop shop offering generous portion of broken rice combos ranging from $10-$17. We usually order over the phone for to go, and they pack it nicely with complimentary soup and fish sauce for the rice dish. They also offer dine-in service in the no-frill shop, and the tables are clean. The house special #1 (charbroiled pork chop, shredded pork, baked egg, bean curd skin, and Chinese sausage on broken rice for $17) has a lot of items that can easily split into 2 meals. My favorites are either Combo #10 ($12 charbroiled pork chop or pork BBQ and baked egg on broken rice) or Combo #17 ($15 charbroiled pork chop, baked egg and bean curd skin on broken rice) depending on how hungry I am that day. The food at Com Tam Kieu Giang is flavorful and tasty, a bit on the sweet side, but it's still a great place for Vietnamese broken rice. Note: 50 cents surcharge for credit card payment

Yummy & tasty food. It improved alot from last time I visited. Was craving for some vermicelli (bún) and VNese coffee so I give it a go. Fast & friendly service as always. The place is clean and bright, perfect for some bún.

Delicious spot for com tam. Definitely satisfied my cravings, the portions are huge! We never finish our plates here and always take it to-go. It could definitely count as 2 meals.

The chicken was crispy and the dipping sauce gave it that extra yummy goodness. The dish also came with a side of broth that had chicken bits in it, was nice to help digest your dish. I also loved that they gave you pickled veggies & fresh veggies. We also ordered the Loi's Fusion Saltado, upgraded the rice to garlic egg fried rice. The beef was soft and tender, the fries were nice and crispy and the fried rice was fresh. You 100% need to get the Thai Tea. A lot of place add too much cream/half and half diluting the tea flavor, they do not skimp on the actual tea in their drink. The color speaks for itself on the dark orange hue!

I'm a bit late getting around to writing this, and unfortunately, they are already closed, but I still felt like I had to share my experience. I'm not completely surprised that they closed, especially after trying their bò né. I've had this dish many times at different places around Orange County, and unfortunately, this was probably the weakest version I've come across. The first thing that stood out was the presentation. As you can see in the picture, there was this purple-colored sauce on the meat itself, which honestly did not look very appetizing. To make things worse, the sauce was cold and did not heat in time with the skillet, which really took away from the experience. The flavor itself wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't anything memorable. It was just okay, and when you factor in the cold food and the presentation, it made the whole dish disappointing. With so many places around Orange County serving bò né at a much higher level, I would probably recommend spending your money elsewhere. If you were wondering whether you missed out on some hidden gem, don't worry, you didn't. This one felt more like a piece of coal than a diamond. That being said, every restaurant has its journey, and with more time, maybe they could have found their footing. Hopefully, they can take this experience as a lesson, refine their recipes, and bring something better in their next venture. I am rooting for you Loi!

The food comes out quickly, the place is loud because it's packed, and you can definitely feel the hustle and rush. But honestly? I keep craving the food here, so I brave the crowds and come back anyway. It's THAT good. One thing to note: definitely ask the servers about the menu, but don't feel like you have to order everything they recommend. Our server raved about the coconut prawns, which were $60, and unfortunately, they were not worth it for me.
