These guys are awesome! We, like many others, heard of Honn-Auto Repair from friends and have been taking our vehicles to Louis since they opened 15 yrs ago! Love "word of mouth advertising". Yesterday he successfully repaired my old Toyota truck to pass emissions. He asked me if I would write a review of their service and I said of course! (I never did in the past 15 yrs). I was shocked to see any negative comments on a few earlier reviews. Louis, pay no attention to these idiots! But, when you get a total of 17 reviews, obviously many satisfied customers like me never thought about reviewing. These guys are awesome! i was originally referred to Luis by a trusted friend & I have been taking all my older vehicles to Luis, Honn-Auto Repair, for over a decade and refer my family and friends to him too. He and his crew do good work at a great price. These are older vehicles and he does not fix things that don't need repairing, he doesn't up-charge, & if any follow-up is required he does not charge for it. Stay away!!!!! This is a place where u shouldn't go with your car. These guys should not be trusted with your safety. They fixed my car and told me there is no more problem and charged me 950$. I paid and drove away. Then noticed they actually didn't fix anything. I have to press the break to the floor to make it work, it makes creaking sound when I turn right or left, it makes a steady 'tap tap tap' sound when I drive over 40miles. All these problem were there when I went to "Luise"(the owner). And when I confronted him, he told me I have to fix more things and costs me another 250$. I asked why he didn't say it before and he literally told me "fuck you cheap motherfucker". I have never been treated like this before. Stay away. I DO NOT suggest you have him fix your car, I took it to him with auto parts that I bought, and some that I already put in myself brand new, I picked up my truck and didn't even drive it a mile a my engine blew up, towed it home, and come to find out he took all my brand new parts out of my truck out and replaced it, for one it took stuff that wasn't even broken or need to be fixed, $560 he took of mine to pay for stuff he ripped off of me, he has you pay ONLY in cash, not right, he refused my card! And tells me he's not responsible for my truck in case it doesn't start, and he drained my oil and coolant after everything was already brand new and filled by me, to get my car back with it all empty!!! Of all the places to review I don't know why I didn't think of this shop sooner. Almost ten years ago I had friend who was very knowledgeable about cars and recommended this shop to me. The owner Luis is very polite, professional, and does great work for affordable prices. I recently moved to Phoenix from the East Valley but quickly realized how luckily I am to have found this shop. Another shop tried to charge me crazy amounts of money for things that I didn't even need fixed at the time, while Honn-Auto Repair fixed what was broken for a great price. I couldn't disagree more with Cathy D's review. Luis has fixed my family's cars for years and has always treated me well. We brought my mother in law's van to him to get the A/C fixed. He told us the van was so old that it would cost too much to fix it vs. the value of the vehicle. He could have easily taken our money but did the right thing. I took my car into Honn's for the 3rd or 4th time, now I'm not a hater they usually do good work but this last time I went in for an oil change, they told me I needed new shocks, spark plugs, my oil was leaking, transmission was leaking on top of the already planned oil change. Paid for all of that for them to tell me it was the engine, so we paid $1900 for the new engine, weird smell took it to another shop where they told me antifreeze was leaking also my car was violently bouncing and rocking back & forth so bad that I had to leave my son where he was & not even feel comfortable picking him up & putting him in the vehicle (which wasn't shaking or anything before) anyways Luis said "oh I thought I called and said we poked a hole in your exhaust I called the guy with the 520 area code" (my moms friend) called my moms friend and he tells me Luis NEVER called then Luis is talking about "oh I thought I did" you thought wrong sir. Anyways took it to the other shop again because my car almost spun out they said my bushings were completely off my car, which was not reported or fixed by Honn's when I first brought it in. So now I've been without a car for almost 2 weeks, spent 2k on fixing it just to hire an attorney on Honn's to get it fixed. Luis should really make sure the mechanics he hires know what they're doing, he tries saving them when he doesn't even know what's happening in the shop while he's running around the office and the parking lot. Having previously brought another vehicle in and gotten a pricy diagnosis for a service engine light turning on which was on for all 3 days and then cleared itself automatically, I brought my wifeMs car in for a break replacement on my way home from work after speaking to Luis. He advised they could take the vehicle in right away. Brought vehicle in and after asking him how much it would be, was provided a different price telling me that the initially quote price was for labor only and that people know to bring their own parts; got quoted again for all parts and labor which turned to be equal to any big shop price and said ok. After he drove the vehicle into the garage, I asked if he had heard a clicking noise on the steering and if he was familiar with that problem, he said it would take at least a day to fix (note this is a known problem with my vehicle and a sou'westers video shows it to be a 1.5 hr max job). I advised of the name of the part and he told me 'go f'ing wait! I'm busy right now!' After which, in shock I asked for the keys and he responded 'you're not getting the breaks? You f'ing sensitive I told you I'm busy and don't have time' to which I responded that was the reason I was taking my business elsewhere'; got the keys and drove off still not believing the exchange I had with this person! Came back to him and before I said a word he started cursing calling me, my parents, my family names and cursing like I had never heard before. I told him I would take the matter to the BBB and that at no point did I disrespect him and how I felt about his violations. I work in insurance and have dealt with many repair facilities but never before had I ever encountered someone so aggressive, disrespectful and unprofessional as this guy. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. I am glad i did not have my wife go to him and my kids were not around. read more

DISHONEST, WILL LIE AND OVERCHARGE YOU STAY AWAY Went here for a couple of years. Thought I had found an honest mechanic-boy was I wrong!!! Was told I had to have Motor Mounts which cost hundreds. Traveled to see family and my brother in-law twisted a simple rubber circle under the hood and the vibrations stopped!!!! Brought the car in for a TRUNK LATCH that would not close. Told it would be FREE to look at it and "Probably" FREE to fix. Luis comes back and says $40!! I told him I didn't have any money and that he should have asked BEFORE a repair was done! So he charges my credit card $30 but I am so angry at the whole transaction I report Honn Auto to the BBB. Luis then calls me to say they will Refund the $30 but only if I LIE to the BBB and say they were not at fault in any way. read more

GIVE ME MY MONEY, OR GIVE ME A WORKING CAR. You need to avoid this place at all costs. They are scammers. I'm 17 years old, and I bought a car from Luis, the car only had 56,000 miles, & Luis Venturo had me convinced he was going to do any maintanence, or fix anything that was to go wrong with the car, free of charge, if it even were to happen. We ended up negotiating and settling on a price of $7,800 for a 2013 black Scion FR-S. THE CAR DIDNT EVEN GET ME ALL THE WAY TO MY HOUSE, HE SAID HE WOULD TOW IT AND GET IT INSPECTED FOR FREE, BUT THEN CALLED ME BACK TO SAY I BLEW THE CAR UP, THE CAR DIDNT HAVE ANY TAGS, I was barely going the speed limit, and I definitely know how to drive a manual transmission. I'm stuck with a car that never worked, because it didn't get me all the way home. And he has my $7,800 cash. I later did research to find out he's not even allowed to make a contract with a minor ! I'm only 17 he's literally stealing my money !! He said he can't return the money because in the bill of sale it says its non-refundable, I didn't see that in the moment, I was only worried about the car. He's willing to steal $7,800 from a kid, and ignore him and stop contacting him. I literally have to take him to court. Avoid this place at all costs. Luis is my hero! Our minivan that I loved had been parked, undrivable for over a year and a half. Many other shops wouldn't even touch it before it actually broke down, due to it's age (10 yrs) and having transmission problems. We could not afford to "just get another car" as many advised us. My husbands car that we didn't like was dying too and we needed the van to be back up and running. Luis fixed a list of things on it including the transmission sensor, flushed several systems, changed the oil, recharged the AC, replaced the serpentine belt and slapped a new Michelin on it, for a price that I know could not have been beat elsewhere. He broke things down in a smart way- doing the most crucial things first and letting us know what could possibly be held off on until we could afford to do more. We will be bringing it back to him soon for a tune up. We are so happy to have found this shop. I only wish we found it sooner before the car broke down to begin with. read more

He is a good Mechanic have fixed the issue, I have been going to him for some time he was very reasonable before but lately his prices have gone up and become expensive like any other mechanic. The amount he quotes is cash only. He charges 4% for the Credit card charge, my quote was $200, when I gave him the card he penalized me by charging 8 dollars for using the card 208 vs 200, he said what I quoted you was cash quote which I did not like. read more
